Charging

How can I charge the earbuds?​

  1. To charge the earbuds, put the earbuds into the charging case in their correct orientation.
  2. A solid Red LED for 2 secs will indicate that the earbuds are being charged. Once fully charged, the LED indicator goes off

How to charge the case?​

  1. To charge the case, plug one end of the cable into the case and connect the other end to a computer or a wall adapter or a power bank.
  2. The case LED blinks White during charging and once fully charged, all the three LEDs turn into solid White.

What to do if the charging case is not charging?

  1. Check if the stickers on the charging points of the ear pods are removed or not. If not then it is to be removed and the ear pods will start charging once put inside the charging case.
  2. Check if the charging cable connected to the case is not broken, use other charging cable and also ensure that the charger being used is not of 9V or 12V as that will damage the case. The LED lights located on the charging case indicate the battery status of the case.
  3. Check if the type-C port on the case is damaged or not.

What to do if the earbuds are not charging?

  1. Ensure that the earphone case is charged for charging the earbuds
  2. Check to see if the earbuds have been put inside the case in the right orientation, and a white light on the earbuds will indicate they are still being charged. This light will go off once the earbud’s have been completely charged.
  3. Clean the magnetic connector pins on the case and connector place on the earbuds with a clean cloth with mild alcohol and check the charging of the earbuds again
  4. After cleaning, put the left earbud into the case in desired orientation and close the lid.
  5. After cleaning, put the right earbud into the case in desired orientation and close the lid.
  6. Once both the earbuds are charged, the LED on the case will go off.

​What to do if the earbuds not charging while inside the charging case even when the case is charged?

  1. Check if the charging pins of the case are clear and there is no obstruction.
  2. Check if the charging pin of the earbuds are clear and there is no obstruction.
  3. Check if the orientation of the earbuds inside the case is correct and they have been properly inserted inside the case.
  4. Check if the pogo pins are clean. You may do so by gently cleaning it cotton swabs with alcohol.
Device Controls

How to Switch ON the Earbuds?

Step 1: To Switch ON the earbuds (Smart Power ON), simply open the lid of the charging case (when earbuds are inside). Our IWP (Insta Wake N’ Pair) technology enables the earbuds to power ON automatically, get connected and enter into the Connection Mode. OR Long touch the CTC on both earbuds for 2 seconds to manually power ON the earbuds. The LED flashes in Blue for 1 second.

Step 2: Both the earbuds will automatically pair with each other. The earbuds will enter into Connection Mode, indicated by Red and Blue LED flashes.

​How to Switch OFF the Earbuds?
Step 1: After usage, remove both the earbuds from your ears.
Step 2: Place the earbuds back into the charging case in correct orientation.
Step 3: The earbuds will automatically switch OFF and enter into the charging mode.

How to switch OFF the earbuds manually?

Step 1: Long touch the CTC on either earbuds for 8 seconds.
Step 2: Once the earbuds get turned OFF, place them back inside the case and close the lid.

How Do I factory reset my earbud?

Step 1: Place both the earbuds back into the charging case in correct orientation to switch them off.
Step 2: Long press the Reset button on the case for up to 10 seconds to do factory reset which is indicated by the flashing of white LED lights three times.
Step 3: Shut the lid of the charging case and then re-open it again.
Step 4: Once you take the earbuds out from the charging case, they automatically restart.

Congratulations! Your Airdopes 451 V2 has been reset.

How can I use a single earbud (Mono mode) at a time?

Both the earbuds can be used in “Mono Mode”
Step 1: Use Smart Power ON to switch on the desired earbud.
Step 2: The selected earbud will automatically enter the Connection Mode first indicated by a Blue LED flash for 1 second and then by Red & Blue LED flashes.
Step 3: Turn ON the Bluetooth functionality on your phone/media device and search for “Airdopes 451v2” to connect.

NOTE:
To switch to Stereo Mode, simply take out the other earbud from the case. It will automatically power ON and pair with the previously selected earbud, hence enabling stereo usage.

You cannot skip tracks or return to the previous tracks in Mono Mode.

How to pair both the earbuds (Stereo mode)?
Step 1: Switch ON the earbuds; a blue light will flash to confirm that they have been switched ON. Both earbud’s will pair with one another automatically.
Step 2: The earbuds will enter into the Connection Mode, indicated by alternating green and blue LED flashes.
Step 3: Turn ON the Bluetooth functionality on your phone/media device and scan.
Step 4: Search for ‘ Airdopes 451 V2 ’ and pair accordingly. Enter ‘0000’ as the passkey if asked. Congratulations! Your earbuds are now connected successfully via Bluetooth.

How to activate Voice Assistant?

  1. Long touch the CTC on either earbud for 3 seconds to activate the smart voice assistant.
  2. The respective voice assistant screen pops up and you may place your commands at ease.

How to answer/end calls?

  1. Single tap on the CTC of either of the earphones once, would result in answering an incoming call.
  2. Once done talking, single tap on the CTC of either of the earphones once, would result in ending the call.

How to reject calls?
Long touch the CTC for 2 seconds to reject incoming calls.

How to play/pause music?
While playing music, removing either of the earbud from the ear would pause the music. While the music is in pause condition, putting either of the earbuds in to the ear would enable it to play music again.

How to change tracks in Airdopes?
Next Track: When playing music, double tap the right CTC to skip to the next song.
Previous Track: When playing music, double tap the left CTC to return to the previous song.

​How to adjust the volume?
Volume cannot be changed from earbuds. It can only be changed from the media device connected with the Airdopes 451v2.

How do I switch to Beast Mode?
Long touch the right CTC for 3 seconds and then release while on Normal mode to switch from Normal sound mode to Beast mode.

How do I switch to Standard Mode?
Long touch the right CTC for 3 seconds and then release while on Beast mode to switch from Beast sound mode to normal mode.

Poor Sound Quality

What to do if the sound is distorted/low volume/low bass/low quality?

  1. Check if connected device does not have any equalizer settings applied.
  2. Check if the problem still occurs if the device is moved closer and all obstacles in the middle are removed.
  3. Check if the distortion or quality lowers at all volumes or only at high volumes.
  4. Check the sound on different media players and different devices and if the distortion happens on all devices or only on specific ones.
  5. Check if the problem occurs at all levels of charging or only at low charging levels.
  6. Check if the earbuds do not have water droplets, in case they do, use the blow dryer to dry out any water from a distance.
  7. Check if the earbuds are clogged with ear wax, simply clear the earbuds to restore the original sound.

What to do if the sound output is muffled?

  1. Check if connected device does not have any equalizer settings applied.
  2. Check if the problem still occurs if the device is moved closer and all obstacles in the middle are removed.

  1. Check if restarting the device resolves the issue.
  2. Check if the same problem happens for different devices and media players.
  3. Check if there are any obstructions between the earbuds and the device and clear them, move the device at a closer range to the earbuds and see if it still affects it.
  4. Try factory-resetting the device.

Why is one side of my earbud not working?
​Simply the earbuds back in to the case and take them out or perform the factory reset.

​Dysfunctional Voice Assistant

What to do if the voice assistant does not wake up?

  1. Check if the pairing device has the feature enabled. Google Assistant or Siri should be enabled to use this feature from your device.
  2. Please follow the steps carefully, long touch the CTC for 2 seconds and release, this should allow Google Assistant or Siri to pop up on the media screen of the device. Though under some circumstance, this feature may or may not work on some devices which may be restricted by default.

What to do if device does not turn ON?

  1. Check to see if the device has been properly charged first or not. A blue light on the earbuds will indicate they are still being charged. This light will go off once the earbud’s have been completely charged.
  2. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the charging case and if the lights on the bottom are glowing to indicate the charge level.
  3. Check by switching the earbuds on manually, press and hold the capacitive touch control for 2 seconds until the LED begins to flash in blue.
  4. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire.
  5. Check if the charging pins of the case and earbuds have some dirt accumulation or corrosion and clean them with alcohol swab and then put them back in the case for charge and the earbuds should start charging.

What to do if the in-built controls (CTC) of the device are not working?

  1. Check if the controls do not work while connected to another device
  2. Check if the media player being used supports such controls and if the controls do not function on call or other media players
  3. Check if the controls have been physically damaged or exposed to any hazards.
  4. Check if the control area has some sweat and oil as that might interfere with the capacitive touch control and clean the control area to remove any oil or sweat and the touch control should start working.

What to do if Insta Wake & Pair (IWP) is not working for my Airdopes?

  1. Make sure that you have paired the Airdopes at least once to the device you are trying to use IWP with before.
  2. Check if Bluetooth is turned on for your media device and it has the Airdopes in the list of paired devices.
  3. Try factory-resetting the device.
    Check if your Airdopes battery case has battery in it to have IWP functioning.
Microphone Functionality

What to do if the voice is muffled during calls/ the microphone has muffled input?

  1. Check if restarting the device resolves the issue.
  2. Check if dust or ear wax as accumulated near or inside the microphone port, there is no blockage on the microphone.
  3. Check if sweat or water has gone inside the microphone.
  4. Check if there are any obstructions between the earbuds and the device and clear them, move the device at a closer range to the earbuds and see if it still affects it.

What to do if a problem related to any functionality occurs in Airdopes?

  1. Check if restarting the device resolves the issue.
  2. Place the earbud’s in the charging case and then try using them again.
  3. Try factory-resetting the device.

What is Insta Wake N’ Pair (IWP) technology?

  1. Our IWP technology allows the earbuds to connect to your phone if they have already been paired before instantaneously upon opening the case.
  2. Simply open the case and ensure that the Bluetooth is turned on for your media device, the buds will connect as soon as the case is opened without the need to take them out of the case first.

How to enable IWP for my earbuds?
There is no special process to enable IWP, simply follow the steps to pair your Airdopes to your media device first, then upon subsequent usage the IWP tech will be enabled automatically and the Airdopes will pair automatically to your previously paired media device if Bluetooth is turned on your media device.

What is Beast Mode?

  1. boAt Airdopes 451 V2 offers Beast Mode for consuming media and better gaming experience.
    Bionic Engine and Sonic Technology offer true real time audio embedded sequence for gaming and entertainment.

  2. This mode is purely for daily gaming only and neither for professional gamers nor any high-end gaming console.

What is Crystal Mode?
Airdopes 451 V2 offers Crystal Mode which toggles dual mic on the earbuds which enables the users to listen ambient sound around them.

What is the standard playtime of Airdopes 451 V2?
The standard playtime of earbuds is 5 hrs per charge if music/audio files are played in 50% volume. Keeping the volume higher than 50% will reduce the standard playtime.

Can I lower the volume of the voice prompts/turn them off?
No, the voice prompts are integrated inside the earbuds and as of now there is no feature to turn them off or lower their volume.

Can I control the volume of the earbuds through integrated controls?

  1. No, the earbuds do not have any integrated volume control on them, the volume has to be controlled using your connected Bluetooth device.
  2. Ensure that in the Bluetooth settings of your media device, you have enabled syncing of Bluetooth and phone volume levels otherwise you may not be able to fully control the volume of the earbuds as intended

Why is the IN-Ear Detection/ Touch not responding?
After long usage, residual stains and perspiration can affect the In-Ear Detection area or Touch control area. Please use a clean cloth to wipe those areas softly.

Does the Airdopes 451 V2 support aptX codec by Qualcomm?
No. Airdopes 451 V2 does not support aptX codec by Qualcomm.

Does my Airdopes 451 V2 have CVC technology by Qualcomm?
No. Airdopes 451 V2 does not support CVC technology.

Can I charge my earphones with a mobile charger?
Yes, Airdopes 451 V2 supports Type-C charging. If your mobile charger comes with Type-C charging support then you can easily charge your device using your mobile charger.

Does my device support low latency for gaming?​
The Airdopes 451 V2 does support low latency for entertainment and casual gaming. But if you’re looking for a professional gaming equipment, then Airdopes 451 V2 is not the right product.​

What to do if there are other exceptions occurring during usage?
Place the earbuds back in to the charging case and try using them again or perform Factory Reset.

Water/Dust Protection

Can I submerge my earbuds in the water/swim with them?
Airdopes 451 V2 comes with IPX7 rain and sweat shield. While it does have a certain amount of water and sweat resistance but it is recommended that it should not be submerged inside water directly or used for prolonged periods inside water like for swimming/showers as it may lead to damage.
