KEYLESS START SYSTEM

This system uses coded radio signals to communicate with the vehicle and remote controller when the remote controller is near the vehicle such as in your pocket or purse.
It allows the vehicle’s door lock/unlock, and start the engine without inserting the ignition Key. It is possible to use the control entry function.

CAUTION

  • Be sure to carry the remote controller.
  • Don’t leave the vehicle when the remote controller is in it.
  • This system may not perform correctly depend on the environment or operation conditions, if you do not use it correctly.
    • The remote controller transmits the faint radio waves.
    • When there are strong signals coming from the television tower, the power station or the cellular phone.
    • When the remote controller is in contact with a metallic material or covered by it.
    • When another radio wave-type remote controller is used nearby.
    • When the remote controller is placed near an electric appliance such as a personal computer.
  • The remote controller continually consumes battery power when it receives a signal to communicate with the vehicles.
  • Battery life is about 2 years, although it varies depending on operation conditions. Please replace the new one if the battery runs down or power is low.
  • Battery life may quickly run down if the remote controller received strong signal long time. Don’t place the remote controller near an electric appliance such as a television or personal computer.

KEYLESS START SYSTEM OPERATION
You can lock or unlock the doors without taking the remote controller out from your pocket or purse when you carry the remote controller. You can lock or unlock all doors by pushing the door handle request switch or the back door handle request switch within the realm of operation.

Locking doors

  1. Stop the engine and get out of your vehicle with your remote controller.
  2. Close all the doors.
  3. Push the door handle request switch or the back door handle request switch.
  4. All doors will lock.

Unlocking doors

  • Push the door handle request switch.
  • The driver door unlock Front passenger side or back door.
  • Only corresponding door unlocks.

OPERATING THE ENGINE
LOCK(Normal parking position) This position activates only lock/unlock the door functions. ACC(Accessories) This position activates electrical accessories such as the radio, when the engine is not running.

Starting the engine

When driving the vehicle, be sure to carry the remote controller.

  1. The shift knob located in the Parking position.
  2. Securely depress the brake pedal.
  3. Securely push the push engine start switch and the engine will be started.

WARNING
Do not start the engine from outside the vehicle through the window. Doing so could lead an accident and injury. Be sure to sit in the driver seat to use the remote controller.

  • The warning indicated in the instrument panel (meter) if the push engine start switch is pushed under the following condition. It is not possible to start the engine when.
  • You don’t have the remote controller.
  • The remote controller battery has run down.
  • You have a remote controller for another vehicle.
  • The engine may not start if the remote controller is placed in below.
    • In the glove box
    • In the door pocket
    • On the instrument panel
    • Corner of interior compartment

Stopping the engine Remove the shift knob to the Parking position. Push the push engine start switch and the engine will be stopped.

KEYLESS START SYSTEM OPERATING RANGE

  • The keyless start function can be operated inside or outside the vehicle when you carry the remote controller.
  • The operating range of keyless start system may narrow if the remote controller battery is run down or the remote controller received strong wave and noise.

Operating range of the door lock/unlock function.
The outside sensors are in the front door handles and the back door handle. The operating range of the door lock/unlock functions are shown in the illustrations. 60cm from the front door handles and Back door handle.

  • The remote controller may not operate if you are too close to the door glass.
  • Anyone who possible to open the door lock / unlock without remote controller if is in the operating range.

Operating range for engine start function
The operating range for starting the engine is inside the vehicle.

  • The engine may not start if the remote controller is below location.
  • On the instrument panel.
  • Inside the glove box.
  •  In door pocket.
  •  Corner of interior compartment.
  • The engine may start if the remote controller is near the door or door glass outside the vehicle .

OPERATION WITH REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM
It is possible to lock/unlock all doors and activate the panic alarm. The LOCK/UNLOCK button on the remote controller can operate at a distance of approximately 10m from the vehicle. (The effective distance depends upon the condition around the vehicle) Using the panic alarm You may activate the alarm to call attention as follows if you feel threatened near your vehicle.

  1. Push the both LOCK and UNLOCK button on the remote controller for longer 2 seconds.
  2. The theft warning alarm and the headlights will activate stay on for 30 seconds.
  3. The panic alarm stops when it satisfied below situation.
  4. Running for 30 seconds.
  5. Pressed the LOCK or the UNLOCK button.
  6. IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM

If the user try to start the engine without the proper Remocon key the Immobilizer system will not allow the engine to start helping to Prevent the vehicle theft. When you start the engine with a Remocon key that the system Recognises, the system will allow the engine to start. However, if someone attempts to start the engine with an  Unrecognised Remocon key, the system not allow the engine to start.
