MARELLI Keyless Entry System
OPERATION INSTRUCTION
KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM
This system uses coded radio signals to communicate with the vehicle and
remote controller.
It allows the vehicle’s door to lock/unlock when the button is pushed. It is
possible to use the control entry function.
CAUTION
- Be sure to carry the remote controller.
- Don’t leave the vehicle when the remote controller is in it.
- This system may not perform correctly depend on the environment or operation conditions, if you do not use it correctly.
- The remote controller transmits the faint radio waves.
- When there are strong signals coming from the television tower, the power station or the cellular phone.
- When the remote controller is in contact with a metallic material or covered by it.
- When another radio wave types of the remote controller is used nearby.
- When the remote controller is placed near an electric appliance such as a personal computer.
- The remote controller continually consumes battery power when it receives a signal to communicate with the vehicles.
- Battery life is about 3 years, although it varies depending on operation conditions. Please replace the new one if the battery runs down or power is low.
OPERATION WITH REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM
It is possible to lock/unlock all doors.
Locking doors
- Stop the engine and get out of your vehicle with your remote controller.
- Close all the doors.
- Push the lock button on the remote controller.
- All doors will lock.
Using the panic alarm
You may activate the alarm to call attention as follows if you feel threatened
near your vehicle.
- Push the both LOCK and UNLOCK button on the remote controller for longer 2 seconds.
- The theft warning alarm and the headlights will activate stay on for 30 seconds.
- The panic alarm stops when it satisfied below situation.
- Running for 30 seconds.
- Pressed the LOCK or the UNLOCK button.
IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM
If the user try to start the engine without the proper key the immobilizer system will not allow the engine to start helping to Prevent vehicle theft.
Operation
When you start the engine with a key that the system Recognises, the system
will allow the engine to start. However, if someone attempts to start the
engine with an Unrecognised key, the system not allow the engine to start
Unlocking doors
- Push the unlock button on the remote controller.
- All doors will unlock.
Operating range of the door lock/unlock function.
The lock/unlock button on the remote controller can operate at a distance
of approximately 8m from the vehicle. (The effective distance depends upon the
condition around the vehicle)
CAUTION: Danger of explosion if the battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type. Do not exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
