Check the content.
Do you have the door handle in the right size? The packaging should contain:
- 2 door handles with a shield
- connection pin
- 4 screws
- 4 connector bolts with 2 sleeves
- Allen key
With the toilet door handle, you will also find the toilet lock, an adapter (to fit the pin, if necessary), and a thin Allen key for securing the toilet lock.
Gather the necessary tools.
To mount the door handle, you will need the following tools:
- tape measure for checking dimensions
- drill and a 10 mm drill bit
- crosshead screwdriver
- pencil (or e.g. an awl) for marking the drill holes
- level (optional, but handy)
- Allen key (included)
MONTAGE
MOUNTING
Insert the pen through the lock.
Insert the connecting pin through the lock so that it protrudes equally far on
both sides of the door.
Now slide the door handle over the pin until the door handle connects to the
door.
MONTAGE
MOUNTING
Secure the door handle to the pin (temporarily).
If you have a hollow door, it is best to use the connector bolts for mounting
the handle. If you have a solid door, proceed to step 8.
Use the supplied Allen key to temporarily tighten the bolt in the door handle
so that the handle remains in the correct position when marking the drill
holes.
MONTAGE
MOUNTING
Mark the drill holes.
Make sure that the door handle is level when you mark out the drill holes.
If the handle is mounted on the door properly and straight, use a pencil (or
an awl, for instance) to mark out the drill holes.
Drill the holes for fastening.
Unscrew the door handle with the Allen key and remove the door handle from the
door.
Carefully drill 10 mm diameter holes perpendicular to the door where you have
marked them.
Note! Do not drill the holes all the way through the door, but only about
halfway. Now repeat steps 4, 5 and 6 for the other side of the door; the drill
holes should now go all the way through the door. Install door handle with connector bolts.
First attach both sleeves to the handle using the shortest connector bolts.
Then place the handle on the pin, inserting the sleeves through the 2 holes.
Place the other handle on
the pin on the other side of the door. Secure both handles by screwing the 2
long connector bolts into the sleeves.
! Use a hand screwdriver (not a battery-powered screwdriver) to avoid applying
too much pressure.
Install door handle with screws.
If you have a solid door, it is best to use the screws for mounting the
handle. You do not need the supplied connector bolts.
First, place both handles on the pin on both sides of the door. Then fix them
to the door using 2 screws on each side.
! Use a hand screwdriver (not a battery-powered screwdriver) to avoid applying
too much pressure.
MOUNTING
Secure the door handle to the connecting pin.
Secure the door handle on both sides to the connecting pin using the Allen
key.
Check that everything is securely fastened by moving the door handle up and
down several times.
If it is loose or crooked, you can easily make some adjustments using a
screwdriver.
MONTAGE
MOUNTING
Are you mounting a door handle with a toilet lock?
For the toilet lock, first put the pin through the door hole and (if
necessary) use the adapter to make the pin fit. Slide the knob of the toilet
lock onto the pin on the other side.
Use the included Allen key to tighten the bolt in the knob at the bottom. We
hope you enjoy your new door handle!
INFORMATION
Toilet pin adapters
The supplied toilet pin for the door handle with toilet lock is 5x5mm. A
standard lock is usually 8x8mm. Therefore, an adapter of 8x8mm is supplied as
standard.
WE HOPE YOU ENJOY
YOUR NEW DOOR HANDLE!
