  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with the reduced physical. Sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  • The bread may burn, therefore do not use the toaster near or below combustible material, such as curtains.
  • Internal parts can be easily damaged.do not touch the internal parts of the toaster with any implement
  • Always allow the toaster to cool completely after use before storing it.
  • Ensure close supervision when operating the toaster while children are present.

USING YOUR TOASTER

  1. NEVER attempt to remove bread if it becomes jammed in the slots, without first unplugging the toaster from the main supply. Allow cooling completely before removal.
  2. Never try to dislodge toast from the toaster using metal implements
  3. Ensure the mains lead is kept clear from hot objects and surfaces.
  4. Ensure bread fits easily into the slots before using a toaster. Torn or thick bread can cause the toaster to Jam.

SPECIAL NOTE:
When the toaster is plugged in and operating for the first time, there may be a slight burning odour, as the heating elements warm up. This represents no danger to the user and does not indicate a defect in the appliance. When using for the first time, allow the toaster to heat up until the odour clears.
IT IS ADVISABLE TO FIRST OPERATE THE TOASTER WITHOUT PLACING BREAD IN THE SLOT.

  1. Connect the toaster to the mains supply and switch ON.
  2. Set the browning control to the lowest setting (1).
  3. Press the loading handle down and allow the heating elements to warm.
  4. Allow elements to heat up until the burning odour clears.
  5. Press the CANCEL button to release the loading handle.

HOW TO USE THE TOASTER

  1. Ensure the toaster is connected to a mains supply and switched ON.
  2. Place one or two slices of bread into the toasting slots and press down the loading handle until it latches.
  3. The toaster will heat up automatically and start toasting.
  4. Adjust the browning control to achieve the amount of toasting desired.
  5. To stop toasting press the CANCEL button at any time.
  6. Lift the loading handle to check the bread during toasting.
  7. When toasting is finished the loading handle will rise automatically. The toast can then be safely removed.
  8. If the toast is not dark enough, you may wish to toast the bread again.
  9. Adjust the browning control to a lower setting and replace the toast. Ensure the toast does not burn while re-toasting.

BROWNING CONTROL

The browning control enables adjustment of toasting time, this is adjustable from 1 to 6.

  • 1 -2 for light toasting
  • 3-4 for medium toasting.
  • 5-6 for dark toasting

REHEAT FUNCTION
Your toaster can re-heat toast if it has cooled too quickly. Replace the toast in the toaster. Set the browning control to a low setting.
Press the loading handle down. Press the REHEAT button, the reheat indicator will light up. ensure toast doesn’t burn. The loading handle will rise automatically when toast is reheated.
DEFROST FUNCTION
Your toaster can defrost frozen bread before toasting If required. Place the bread into the toaster. Set the browning control to the required setting. Press the loading handle down Press the defrost button, the defrost Indicator will light up .ensure toast does not bum.
CANCEL FUNCTION

  •  Press the CANCEL button if the bread starts to smoke.
  • The CANCEL button can be pressed at any time during toasting.

CARE & MAINTENANCE CLEANING

  1. Switch OFF the mains supply and allow the toaster to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Only clean the surfaces of the toaster with a soft damp cloth.
  3. Do not allow crumbs to build up inside the toaster.
  4. Crumbs can be removed by pulling out the crumb tray, located at the end of the toaster, and clearing any build-up with a damp cloth.
  5. Internal parts can be easily damaged. Do not touch the internal parts of the toaster with any implement.

PLUG:

  1. This appliance has been fitted with a BS UK compliant plug which should not be replaced or removed
  2. The plug is fitted with UK compliant fuse link which is suitable for this type of appliance and should only be replaced by a fuse link of the same rating
  3. If access to the fuse link is only possible by removing the plug cover this must only be done by a suitably qualified person.
  4. If the plug or the mains cable of this appliance is damaged do not use and dispose of the appliance responsibly. This appliance is earthed.
