Frequently Asked Questions
-
Are there speakers in this machine so you can listen without earbuds?
Absolutely, the sound isn’t half bad. My only ‘complaint ‘ is you cannot see what station you are tuning to. -
Is the radio manual tuning (knob) or digital?
I never use the radio. I bought for CD player only. I turn things manually for CD sound, etc. I love this machine. -
Can you use earbuds?
No, you can not use earbuds, headphones or similar items. There is no jack for them. Note that the Aux In jack is not for these items either. -
How well does this play CDs? (mp3 or regular) and is there a battery-only option?
I would not purchase the item. Used it for less than a month and it no longer works. -
Does this work on batteries if power fails for FM radio? oho?
Six “C” size batteries. -
Rechargeable cd players how do they work?
It works with an electric cord. It sounds very well to be so small. CD or Radio. Great deal for the money. -
I put it in CD mode but it won’t play?
If the players in question were new out of the box, did anyone think to remove the thin strip of cardboard in the CD tray? It is there to support the mechanism during shipping. If not removed the machine can NOT read the CD and will not play. -
Is there a repeat button?
The repeat button for a CD is on the left side, the middle button looks like a sideways C. I had to figure this out from a different Boombox, and thank goodness I was able to do so. Directions are tough on this item. -
Does it have an electric plug-in?
Yes, it comes with an electric cord plus it has a battery box, but you don’t have to have batteries in it. -
Can you plug it into a car cigarette lighter?
To the best of my memory, no. It was wired with an international plug so I had to get an adaptor simply to plug into the socket. -
Is there an infinite volume control dial or preset levels?
No preset levels, love this boombox.
