Description – The purpose of use
- Double LED floodlights Extol® Light 43281 (2 x 800 lm) and Extol® Light 43283 (2 x 2400 lm) with a single common power cord are intended for installation on a portable stand with a carry handle (fig. 1), which can, likewise, be installed on a telescopic tripod with adjustable height and arbitrary swivel around their 360° turning axes (fig. 2). The floodlights can be swiveled individually on the portable stand as required for illuminating a specific area (fig. 1). Each floodlight is equipped with an independent power switch, so one can use either just a single floodlight or both at the same time. As they are both waterproof and dust-proof, they can be used outdoors (however, the power connection must be protected).
- The Extol® Light 43283 LED floodlight is a 3× stronger source of light (2× 2400 lm) than model Extol® Light 43281 (2× 800 lm).

Connection and installation of the floodlight
ATTENTION
- Carefully read the entire user‘s manual before first use and keep it with the product so that the user can become acquainted with it. If you lend or sell the product to somebody, include this user‘s manual with it. Prevent this user‘s manual from being damaged. The manufacturer takes no responsibility for damages or injuries arising from the use of the device that is in contradiction to this user‘s manual. Acquaint yourself with all the control elements and parts of the floodlight before using it. Check that all parts are firmly attached before use, also check that no part of the floodlight is damaged, namely the protective front cover and the insulation on the power cord. A degraded power cord is also considered to constitute damage. Do not use a floodlight with damaged parts and have it repaired at an authorized service center for the Extol® brand.
INSTALLATION OF THE FLOODLIGHTS AND TRIPOD
-
Mount the floodlights and secure them in place with the supplied screws to the portable stand with carrying handle, see fig. 1 and point them as required. The floodlights can be used in this way, installed on a stand and carried using the carry handle or the given stand can be installed and attached to a telescopic tripod. Assemble the tripod according to fig. 2 and secure all its moving parts using the relevant fastening elements.
The extended tripod rod can be turned 360° around its central axis as required, see fig. 2.
The direct distance of the floodlights from the illuminated object should be at least 0.5 m, see fig. 6. -
If necessary, the floodlights may be mounted on a wall. Mount the floodlight at a height of 1-3 m above the ground (fig. 6). The direct distance of the floodlights from the illuminated object should be at least 0.5 m. When the floodlight is mounted in a corner then it must be at least 20 cm away from the ceiling (Fig. 7).
• ATTENTION
- Protect the power cord of the floodlight against thermal and mechanical damage. In the event of damage, immediately turn off the floodlight, disengage the voltage in the grid and organize a repair at an authorized service center for the Extol® brand.
- For safety reasons, do not cover the floodlight during operation; circulation of ambient air must be provided for. Likewise, do not install or operate the floodlight in a confined small area with an insufficient volume and circulation of air.
- The floodlight has a non-replaceable light source, which when not mechanically damaged has a lifespan of more than 30,000 hours, and thus under normal circumstances, it is not necessary to remove the floodlight‘s front cover.
CONNECTING TO A POWER SOURCE AND TURNING ON
- WARNING y The floodlight is connected to the power supply by means of a power cord with a standard plug intended for 230 V ~50 Hz sockets.
- The floodlight can be connected to a voltage in the range specified in the chapter with the technical specifications. Prior to connecting the floodlight, check that the above-specified voltage is in the grid.
- The floodlight must be connected to a power socket with its circuit protected by a residual current device (RCD) with a breaking current of 30 mA. y If the connection (power cord) of the floodlight is repaired in any way with respect to the specific connection requirements, all modifications and connections must be performed by a person with electrical qualifications (i.e. a knowledgeable person) according to current norms EN 50110-1, IEC 60050-195 and EN 501102 and EN 61140. In the event of any modifications to the power cord leading to the floodlight and its connection, the manufacturer cannot bear any responsibility for non-professional work.
ATTENTION
- The connection of the floodlight to the el. the power source must be permanently protected against the entry of water, high moisture or snowfall, or thermal and mechanical damage. The IP 65 protection level of the floodlight does not apply to the floodlight‘s connection to the power source when the same level of protection is not provided!
- Do not locate the floodlight on a flammable surface. The floodlight must not be used in an environment where there is a risk of fire or explosion.
- Always use the floodlight with an undamaged protective front cover that prevents damage to the LED diodes and its exposure to humidity/ water and dust. In the event that the floodlight or power cord is damaged, immediately turn off the power source, disconnect the floodlight and replace it with an undamaged unit.
TURNING ON
- Each floodlight is equipped with an on/off switch, so one can use both floodlights at the same time or just one.
Cleaning, maintenance, and repairs
- In the event that the floodlight requires cleaning, first unplug it from the el. power supply and allow it to cool down. Do not use abrasive cleaning products and organic solvents to clean the floodlight as this would damage it.
- Service adjustment or installation of the floodlight must be performed with the power supply disconnected.
- In the event that the power cord itself is damaged, immediately disconnect it from the power cord without voltage in the grid and have it replaced at an authorized service center for the Extol® brand.
- In the event of damage to the protective front cover of the floodlight, replace it with a new one. For safety reasons, it is not possible to use the floodlight with a damaged protective front cover. If the user replaces the protective front glass, the manufacturer can no longer guarantee the IP65 protection class with protection against the damaging entry of water and dust because the manufacturer cannot be responsible for the possible incorrect installation of the protective front cover by the user. When the protective cover is replaced, the same level of protection must be ensured as in the original configuration. The original gasket seal from the manufacturer must be used. When the glass is replaced, the gasket seal must be completely undamaged and untwisted. The glass must have the same thickness as the original. In the event that these requirements are not met, the provided level of protection will be insufficient against the entry of water and dust, and the floodlight must not be exposed to rain, moisture, or another form of water entry and dangerous touching.
- For warranty repairs, please contact the vendor from whom you purchased the product and they will organize repairs at an authorized service center for the Extol® brand. For a post-warranty repair, please contact the authorized service center of the Extol® brand directly (you will find the repair locations at the website at the start of this user‘s manual).
