Thank you for choosing Velleman! This energy meter allows you to determine the power costs of your electrical appliances. Please read the manual thoroughly before bringing this device into service. If the device was damaged in transit, do not install or use it and contact your dealer.

- Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
- This energy meter is designed for appliances of 5W ~ 3680W (max. current 16A). Make sure not to connect any appliance exceeding these limits as the meter may overload and cause personal injuries or damage.
- Connect this meter to a 230V / 50-60Hz mains only.
- This meter is for indoor use only. Never use it in the open air.
- Only use the meter for its intended purpose. All other uses may lead to short circuits, burns, electroshocks, crashes, etc. Using the meter in an unauthorized way will void the warranty.
- Note that damage caused by user modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty.
- This energy meter must be grounded at any time.
- Operate this meter at an ambient temperature between +10°C ~ and +40°C. High temperatures may cause the meter to overheat and damage both the meter and the connected appliance.
- Do not use the meter near flammable gases, vapor, and dust, or in wet and damp environments.
- Disconnect the device from the mains to clean it or when it is not in use.
- Familiarise yourself with the functions of the meter before actually using it. Do not allow operation by unqualified people. Any damage that may occur will most probably be due to the unprofessional use of the meter.
- Keep the device away from children and unauthorized users.
- Never insert objects into the meter.
- Do not use a damaged or deformed meter.
Programming the Meter
Before connecting any appliance, the condensers inside the energy meter must
be fully charged for 12h. To do so, connect the energy meter to the mains.
Note that the LCD will light after only 5 minutes. At this time you can start
programming your meter.
a. Setting of the Current Time and Weekday
- Hold MODE, +, and simultaneously pressed to enter the programming mode.
- Change the value of the blinking item with + or and select the next item by pressing MODE.
- When finished programming the time and date, press MODE to program cost tariff n° 1.
b. Setting of Cost Tariff N° 1
- Change the value of the blinking item as per above.
- Begin with programming the start time of the day tariff.
- Once the start time is programmed, continue with entering the day tariff.
- Press MODE to program cost tariff n° 2.
c. Setting of Cost Tariff N° 2
- Change the value of the blinking item as per above.
- Begin with programming the start time of the night tariff.
- Once the start time is programmed, continue with entering the night tariff.
- Press MODE to confirm the programmed data.
Screen Description

c. Total Recorded Time, Total Power-On Time, and Percentage
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Regularly inspect the meter for damages.
- Wipe the meter regularly with a dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use alcohol or solvents. Never immerse the meter in water.
- Maintenance and repairs may only be performed by a qualified technician.
