DOMO DO470K Water Tank Coffee Maker
WARRANTY
This appliance has a two year warranty period. During this period the
manufacturer is responsible for any failures that are the direct result of
construction failure. When these failures occur the appliance will be repaired
or replaced if necessary. The warranty will not be valid when the damage to
the appliance is caused by wrong use, not following the instructions or
repairs executed by a third party. The guarantee is issued with the original
till receipt. All parts, which are subject to wear, are excluded from the
warranty.
If your device breaks down within the 2-year warranty period, you can return
the device together with your receipt to the shop where you purchased it.
RECYCLING INFORMATION
This symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product may not be treated as household waste. Instead it must be brought to the applicable collection point for recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health, which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of this product. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance may be used by children from the age of 8 and up, and also by persons with a physical or sensorly limitation, as well as mentally limited persons or persons with a lack of experience and knowledge. But only on the condition that these persons have received the necessary instructions on how to use this appliance in a safe way and know the dangers that can occur by using this appliance. Children cannot be allowed to play with the appliance. Maintenance and cleaning of the appliance may not be done by children, unless they are older than 8 years old and are under supervision. Keep the appliance out of reach of children younger than 8 years old. This appliance is suitable to be used in a household environment and in similar surroundings such as:

Attention: This appliance cannot be used with an external timer or a separate remote control. -
Read all instructions before use.

Before use, check if the voltage stated on the appliance corresponds with the voltage of the power net at your home.

Do not let the cord hang on a hot surface or on the edge of a table or counter top.

Never use the appliance when the cord or plug is damaged, after malfunction or when the appliance itself is damaged. In that case, take the appliance to the nearest qualified service center for check-up and repair.

The use of accessories that are not recommended or sold by the manufacturer can cause fire, electrical shock or injuries.

Unplug the appliance when it is not in use, before assembling or disassembling any parts and before cleaning the appliance. Put all buttons and knobs into the ‘off’ position and unplug the appliance by grasping the plug. Never unplug by pulling the cord.

Never immerse the appliance, the cord or the plug in water or any other liquid.

Make sure that children do not touch the cord or appliance.

Keep the cord away from sharp edges and hot parts or other heat sources.

Before use, remove all packaging materials and any promotional stickers.

Never touch the hot surfaces.

The glass jug is only suited for this coffee maker. Never use it on a cooking stove.

A broken jug may no longer be used.

Don’t clean the thermos with abrasive cleaners, rough spounge or other harsh cleaners.

The jug cannot be heated up in a microwave oven.
-
ATTENTION : Never open the the bottom of the appliance, repairs need to be done by a qualified electrician. Otherwise you run the risk of burns or electric shock.
TO REMEMBER
- This appliance is for houshold use only.
- Check if the household current is the same as the current mentioned on the appliance.
- Never fill the water tank above the max. indicated level.
- Never add water when the appliance is still working. Turn off the appliance, let it cool en than refill.
- Never place the glass jug on a hot surface or in a hot oven.
- Don’t touch the cord or the hot surface of the appliance when it is working.
- Don’t use any abrasive cleaners or rough spounge for cleaning the appliance.
POWER CORD
- The appliance has a short power cord to prevent tripping or entaglement.
- Be very carefull when using an extention cord.
- When using an extention cord, think of the following :
- The indicated power of the extenion cord needs to be at least the same as the appliance
- Make sure the extention cord is not draped over the table or counter top, children could pull it or you could trip over it.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
First use :
- Let clean water run through the coffee maker twice.
- Take the jug.
- Open the lid of the water tank.
- Fill the jug with the necessary amount of water and pour it into the water tank. Never use warm water.
- Place a paper filter in the filter holder.
- Fill the paper filter with the desired amount of coffee.
- Place the jug with the lid on the plate of the appliance.
- Select the desired coffee strength by turning the knob on the lid.
- Turn on the coffee maker. The indication light will light up.
- When the coffee is finished, you can take off the thermos. If you want to take coffee when the water is still running, the drip stop will prevent coffee dripping on the plate.
- After 30 minutes the coffee maker will switch off automatically.
ATTENTION : THE DRIP STOP ONLY FUNCTIONS WHEN THE LID IS ON THE JUG.
ATTENTION : LET THE APPLIANCE COOL DOWN FOR 5 MIN. BETWEEN EVERY TIME YOU MAKE COFFEE.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
- Remove the plug from the socket before cleaning.
- The filter holder can be removed for cleaning.
- Clean the outside of the appliance regularly with a damp cloth. Dry thoroughly afterwards.
- Don’t use any abrasive cleaners.
- The hot plate needs to be cold before cleaning.
- Never immerse the appliance in water.
- Never use a cloth for cleaning the water tank. Little pieces of fabric could be left in the water tank. Rinse the water reservoir regularly with cold water.
DESCALING
Descale your coffee maker regularly. At normal use ( 2 full jug a day) we recommend the following rules :
- Water hardness upto 18°dh : 2 to 3 times a year.
- Water hardness above 18°dh : 4 to 5 times a year.
- The water distribution in your area, can provide you the necessary info concerning your water hardness.
For descaling the appliance you should fill the coffee maker with vinegar and let it run through twice. Afterwards, let the coffee maker work twice with clean water, to
