YOUR SAFETY IS IMPORTANT TO US. PLEASE ENSURE YOU TAKE NOTE OF THE
INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS OUTLINED IN THIS MANUAL.
CAUTION:
In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut-
out, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device,
such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and
off by the utility.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they are supervised or have been given instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

risk and will activate the safety fuse; permanently disabling the unit.

- The common cause of overheating is deposits of dust or fluff in the appliance. Ensure these deposits are removed regularly by unplugging the appliance and vacuum cleaning the air vents and grills.

- When the appliance has been unpacked, check it for transport damage and ensure all parts have been delivered. If parts are missing or the appliance has been damaged, contact the Customer Services Team.
- Do not use if there are visible signs of damage to the appliance.
- Do not connect the appliance to the main supply until completely assembled and adjusted.
- Ensure hands are dry before handling the plug or main unit.
- Ensure the appliance is on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Do not operate with the cord set coiled up as a heat build-up is likely, which could be sufficient to become a hazard.
- Carry out regular checks of the supply cord to ensure no damage is evident
- Do not operate this appliance with a damaged cord, plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Take to a qualified electrical person for examination, electrical service or repair.
- Do not twist, kink or wrap the cord around the appliance, as this may cause the insulation to weaken and split. Always ensure that all cord has been removed from any cord storage area and is unrolled before use.
- It is recommended that this appliance is plugged directly into the wall socket. Power boards are not rated to supply power to high-wattage appliances.
- A correctly specified, an undamaged extension cord may be used with this appliance provided it is used in a safe manner.
- Do not remove the plug from the power socket until the appliance has been switched off.
- Do not remove the plug from the power socket by pulling the cord; always grip the plug.
- Do not place the cord under the carpet or cover with rugs or furniture. Arrange the cord so it cannot be tripped over.
- Don’t place appliances on bedding or on thick & long carpet where the openings may get blocked.
- Switch off and use the handle provided when moving

- Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening, as this may cause an electric shock, fire or damage to the appliance.

- The appliance must not be immersed in any liquids.
- There are no user-serviceable parts installed in the unit.
- Do not place the unit in wardrobes or other enclosed spaces as this may cause fire hazards.
- This unit is not supposed to be used in or around locations where foodstuffs, works of art or delicate articles of science, etc. are stored.
- If your appliance does not work, or is not working properly, contact the place of purchase or the Customer Services Team.
- This appliance contains a UV-C lamp.
- Read the manufacturers instructions before opening the appliance
- Unintended use of the appliance or damage to the housing may result in the escape of dangerous UV-C radiation. UV-C radiation may, even in small doses cause harm to the eyes and skin.
- Appliances that are obviously damaged must not be operated.
- The UV-C lamp is not user-replaceable.

5 stage dual-action dehumidifier and purifier are great in improving indoor air quality
Always choose a safe location for the dehumidifier, keeping in mind the safety precautions outlined. Ensure all packaging has been removed from the unit before use. Please follow the below instructions.
WARNING:
In order to avoid overheating or fire, do not cover the dehumidifier.
WARNING:
Keep all objects at least 200mm from all sides of the appliance.
WARNING:
Do not use this dehumidifier with a programmer, separate timer, remote-control
system, or any other device that switches the dehumidifier on automatically,
since a fire risk exists if the dehumidifier is covered or positioned
incorrectly.
WARNING:
Never leave this dehumidifier unattended. Ensure the dehumidifier is on a
flat, stable, heat-resistant surface. Once the dehumidifier is in a safe
operating position and all switches are in the off position, insert the power
plug into the mains outlet and switch it on.
CAUTION:
Ensure the power cord is not tight because if pulled it may partially pull the
plug from the socket. A partially inserted plug will overheat the plug and
socket and could result in fire.
Leave the appliance to stand for one hour after transport or after the unit
has been on its side before connecting it to the mains supply to let the
refrigerant settle.
Ensure all external windows and doors are closed before turning on the unit.
Ensure that the water container is positioned correctly.
POWER BUTTON
- Press the ‘Power’ button to turn your dehumidifier ON and OFF. After turning the unit OFF, the fan will continue to run for about 2 minutes to reduce the residual heat inside the unit. After 2 minutes, the fan and the louver will automatically close and the unit will stop running. (Do not remove the plug directly while the power is still on or during the heat reduction time to avoid damage to the unit or reduce the unit’s life). When the unit is OFF but plugged in, your dehumidifier is in STANDBY MODE
MODE
When the unit is running, press the ‘Mode’ button to choose the operation
mode.
- Smart: In this mode, the target humidity is set to 50%RH and cannot be adjusted. The fan speed is automatically adjusted according to the detected ambient humidity and cannot be manually adjusted by the ‘Fan Speed’ button.
Heater: In this mode, the unit will produce a very small amount of heat.
You can adjust the temperature from 16-30 degrees. The fan speed can be
adjusted in this mode. Please note this unit is not a heater and should not
be used as an alternative to a good quality heater
- Dehumidifier: When in dehumidifier mode, the 2-digit display shows the current humidity and the LED display will show the current temperature. To amend the target humidity, press the ‘▲&▼’ keys (the humidity is set to cycle from ‘35% – 80%’, press ‘▲&▼’ once to set the humidity increase by 5%), and adjust the air volume and dehumidification capacity by pressing the ‘Fan Speed’ button. Your set humidity will flash on the screen before defaulting back to the current humidity setting.
- Continuous dehumidification (drying) function: When the target humidity is set to 35% in the dehumidifier mode, the unit runs in dry mode, and continues to dehumidify until the water tank is full. This mode is suitable for helping to dry clothes. Do not place the clothing directly on the air outlet of the unit. Make sure that there is a distance of at least 1.5m between the clothes and the machine. Also, set the louver to the OSC mode to direct the airflow onto the clothes for drying.
- Air purifier: This will help to improve the indoor air quality using the purifier filters. The unit does not dehumidify is this mode. No air moisture will be extracted.
FAN SPEED
When the unit is running, the air volume can be adjusted by pressing the
Fan Speed button.
- Turbo: The fan runs at high speed and the dehumidification is at its maximum capacity.
- Normal: The fan runs at medium speed, the dehumidification is at normal capacity.
- Low: The fan runs at low speed and the dehumidification is at the minimum capacity.
UV & ION
The UV and ION functions are controlled by one button:
- Press once, the UV function is turned on, the UV indicator lights up, and the ION function and indicator light are off.
- Press again, the UV function is turned off and the ION function and indicator are lit
- Press for the third time, the UV and ION functions are both turned on and the indicators are lit.
- Press for the fourth time, the UV and ION functions are turned off and the indicators are off.
OSC/SWING
When the unit is running, press the ‘SWING’ button, and the louver will swing
at ‘(4590 degrees swing wind)—(stop)’. When the louver is on, the ‘SWING’
button lights up. When you turn on the unit for the first time, the louver
defaults to the 90-degree position.
CHILD LOCK
The ‘SWING: button doubles up as a Child Lock function. Press and hold this
button to enter the child lock mode, you will see the child lock indicator
light up and all functionality of the control panel will stop. To unlock,
simply press and hold the child lock button until the child lock indicator
light switches off.
TIMER
Setting the timer to turn the dehumidifier ON
- When the unit is in STANDBY MODE. Press the ‘TIMER’ button, its LED display will flash and the 2-digit display will default to show ’01.
- Press the’▲&▼’ button, to increase/decrease the timer by 1h, to a maximum of 24hrs. To cancel the timer, set it to ‘0’.
- Once a time is set and there is no operation for 3 seconds, the timer is confirmed.
- To alter a set time, press the ‘TIMER’ button and adjust with the ‘▲&▼’ key. Setting the timer to turn the dehumidifier OFF
- When the unit is ON. Press the ‘TIMER’ button, its LED display will flash and the 2-digit display will default to show ’01.
- Press the’▲&▼’ button, to increase/decrease the timer by 1h, to a maximum of 24hrs. To cancel the timer, set it to ‘0’.
- Once a time is set and there is no operation for 3 sec, the timer setting is successful.
- After the time has elapsed, the unit stops running.
- To alter a set time, press the ‘TIMER’ button and adjust with the ‘▲&▼’ key.
WiFi
- This dehumidifier is WiFi-enabled, allowing full operation of your dehumidifier from the Goldair WiFi app.
- Follow the instructions in this manual under the section titled ‘WiFi – Downloading and Setting up App’ for information on how to operate the unit via the Goldair app.
- To set the unit into WiFI pairing mode, press and hold the ‘MODE’ button, until the buzzer sounds and the SMART indicator flashes.
USING YOUR REMOTE CONTROL
The settings on the remote control are similar to the control panel.
Note: Ensure you always point the remote control at the LED light screen
on the front of the unit.
POWER :
Turn unit on/off
SWING:
Change the Oscillation setting. Choose between 3 modes:
Swing off and air blowing at 45 degrees
Swing off and air blowing at 90 degrees
Swing on and air blowing between 45-90 degrees
ION: Turn Ion mode on and off
TIMER: Use to turn unit on when in standby mode or off when in on mode.
Press ‘TIMER’ and use the ‘+’ / ‘-’ buttons to choose between 1 – 24 hours.
The device will turn on/off after the selected amount of time.
MODE:
Change settings between
SMART/HEATER/DEHUMIDIFIER / AIR PURIFIER. The functionality works the
same as via the control panel.
+ / – : Use to increase and decrease temperature or humidity levels.
FAN: Change the fan speed between Turbo, Normal, and Sleep
UV: Turn UV mode on and off
LOCK: Enable the child lock setting by holding it down for 3 seconds.
LAMP: Turn the lamp on/off by holding down the “ION” button for 3
seconds.
TANK FULL INDICATOR
When the tank is full, the unit will stop running, and the Full indicator
light will flash.
Grip the tank by its handles and carefully pull out.
Empty the water tank and reinsert it into the dehumidifier.
The tank must be in place and securely seated for the dehumidifier to operate
again.
The dehumidifier will re-start when the tank is restored to its correct
position.
CONTINUOUS DRAINAGE
This dehumidifier has a continuous drain hole that can be connected to a
plastic pipe with a 15 mm inner diameter (Supplied in the packing). Water can
be smart plumbed in or drained into a sink, a larger receptacle or through the
wall into an outside drain. Please follow the steps below to set your unit up
for continuous drainage.
- Cut off the cover for the continuous drain on the back of the unit.
- Pull out the water tank and connect a water tube of the inner diameter of 15mm to the drain connector, and ensure the connection is tight.
- Return the water tank back into position within the unit.
This unit uses gravity to drain the water. The drain should be lower than the dehumidifier water outlet. Be sure to run the water pipe down and let the water flow out smoothly. Do not kink or bend the pipe.
WiFi – Downloading and Setting up APP
This APP is supported only on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi channels. Please ensure your
phone is 2.4GHz capable
Note this device will only work within your home WIFI system. This does not
operate on 3G or 4G internet connections. You will need a connection to your
home Wi-Fi.
Download the Goldair mobile APP

Open the APP Store or Google Play on your mobile phone.

Open ‘Search’ and enter ‘Goldair’
-
Click ‘GET’ and begin to download and install.
Once downloaded to your phone open the APP -
Tap REGISTER near the bottom of the screen.

Read and agree to the Privacy Policy.
-
Add your email address.
-
Tap ‘Obtain verification code’
You will then receive an email with a verification code.
- Enter the verification code from your email.
- Create a password.
- Then tap confirm.
If you haven’t received a verification code via email, tap the resend button,
and when the verification code is received follow the above steps.
Your APP is now registered and ready for pairing to your device.
Pairing APP to Dehumidifier

On your phone tap ‘Add Device’ to connect to the dehumidifier.

Press the ‘MODE’ button on the control panel for 5 seconds until the ‘SMART’ LED light starts rapidly flashing.

Tap ‘Confirm indicator rapidly blink’ on your phone.

Choose/confirm which WiFi to connect to.
Note: your phone may pick up other WiFi signals (e.g. neighbors) so you will need to choose.
- Enter your WiFi password
- The phone will then connect to the dehumidifier. Ensure you have a good strong signal from your WiFi router.
Note: The WiFi indicator on the dehumidifier may go off during this pairing process.
- Once complete the screen showing the device has been successfully added will appear.
- Rename your dehumidifier and choose the relevant location eg Master Bedroom.
- Tap ‘Completed’ to continue. To add additional dehumidifiers or devices to your app, tap ‘Add Device’ and repeat the above process.
- If the phone and dehumidifier fail to connect, then you will need to try to connect again as per the above process.
- Click on your dehumidifier and the main control screen on your phone will appear.

Device settings:
Share devise with family members:
- The person you add will need to have the Goldair APP installed on their phone.
- Enter your family member’s details to share device operations with them.
- Tap ‘Confirm’ to complete the addition.
Remove a family member from the device:
- Tap ‘Share Devices’ to delete the number of the person you want to cancel. Tap ‘Confirm’ to confirm.
NOTE: There can only be one user operating the dehumidifier at a time. The
APP needs to be closed on all other devices to enable the sharing to work.
NOTE: If someone else sets up their phone on the same Dehumidifier
without using the ‘Device Sharing’ the original phone will be disconnected
and the dehumidifier will disappear from the device list.
Group your devices:
Devices within the same group can be controlled simultaneously
- Under the Create Group setting, select all devices you wish to group together. Click ‘Save’
Enter a group name of choice. Click Save.
You can now operate all devices within this group simultaneously.
Ungroup your devices:
- Click on to pen icon within the device group
- Select ‘Dismiss Group’
You have now deleted your group.
Submit app feedback
- If you come across an issue with your device or the app or wish to submit feedback, please write a thorough description in the box provided.
- Choose the issue type from the dropdown menu, eg Device Issues.
- Enter your contact details and the time/date that the error occurred.
- Upload any relevant images

Operating your Dehumidifier from the APP
Dehumidifier Operation Screen
- Tap the ‘ON/OFF’ icon to operate the power
Target Humidity Function
- Tap the ‘Target Humidity’ Icon to amend the humidity setting. Choose between 30-80%. This function only operates in Dehumidity mode.
- When the set target humidity is lower than the relative humidity, the dehumidifier begins to operate.
- If the set target humidity is above the relative humidity the dehumidifier will be in standby mode and will not operate until the relative humidity increases above the set target humidity.
Fan Speed Function
- Tap the ‘Fan Speed’ icon to amend the fan speed. Choose between Turbo, Normal, Low and Auto.
Mode Function
- Tap the ‘Mode’ icon to amend the mode. Choose between Dehumidity, Heater, Air Purifier and Auto
Anion Function
- Tap the ‘Anion’ icon to turn ON or OFF. Anions or negative ions have strong absorption capabilities to absorb micro particles in the air to remove dust and bacteria.
Lamp function
Tap the ‘Lamp’ icon to turn the lamp ON or OFF.
UV function
- Tap the ‘UV’ icon to turn ON or OFF.
Sleep function
- Tap the ‘Sleep’ icon to turn ON or OFF.
- The Sleep Mode allows you to turn off the bright LED display panel. Press the Sleep button once to activate Sleep Mode, the button will illuminate and the unit will continue to operate, but the remainder of the LED display will turn off.
- If you would like to adjust the settings whilst in sleep mode, the app will allow you to do this without turning the display on. Press the relevant buttons to activate the desired settings.
- Press the Sleep Mode button again to reset the LED control panel back to normal.
Lock function
- Tap the ‘Lock’ icon to turn ON or OFF.
- The lock function acts as a child lock and disables the control panel from use.
Target temperature
- Tap the ‘target temperature’ icon to amend the target temperature using the ‘+’ and ‘-‘ buttons.
- Choose between 16-30 degrees.
Schedule function
The schedule in the APP has far more functionality than the dehumidifier
control panel buttons.
- Tap the ‘Schedule’ icon to set schedule and timer functions
- Select your desired time on the Schedule edit screen
- Tap ‘REPEAT’ to select what days of the week you want the timer set for.
NOTE: Select as many days as you want, or if you want to set the timer as a one-off, don’t select any days.
- Tap ‘POWER’ to select whether you want the timer function to turn the dehumidifier ON or OFF
- Tap ‘SAVE’ on the Schedule edit screen to save your timer selection.
- To add another timer, select ‘Add Schedule’ and repeat the above process.
Note: Make sure the Smartphone or Tablet Clock that you are using has the right time you are providing from the connection network to the Internet. Possible delay or non-activation of the timer may be caused by an incorrect time setting on the device you are using.
Operating Your Dehumidifier
SAFETY DEVICES
This appliance has two protection devices:
- Resettable Thermal Link – this will automatically disconnect the power to the appliance at a pre-set overheat temperature. After cooling down it will reset and power on again. If this occurs, investigate what is causing the appliance to overheat.
- Thermal Fuse – this disconnects the appliance permanently in case of overheating. (It is nonresettable).
CARE AND CLEANING
The dehumidifier requires regular cleaning to ensure trouble-free operation:
- Unplug the dehumidifier from the main supply before cleaning.
- Ensure that the dehumidifier has been allowed to cool down completely before cleaning.
- The common cause of overheating is deposits of dust or fluff in the appliance. Ensure these deposits are removed regularly by unplugging the appliance and vacuum cleaning the air vents and grills.
The air filter should also be cleaned regularly (every 2 weeks)
- The air inlet may gather dust easily, please clean it often with a soft, damp cloth.
- If the filter is covered by dust, the airflow and the performance of the unit will be affected, it may even cause damage to the unit.
- We recommend that you regularly clean the filters.
- The dehumidifier must be disconnected from the socket before maintenance and the filters must be allowed to fully dry before reuse.
- Remove the filters from the unit and tap the dust away.
- Clean the carbon, the HEPA, and the mesh filter with a vacuum cleaner or soft brush.
- If dirt and grease is accumulated wash the mesh filter only in hot soapy water.
- Replace the filters in position.
- Note: Never use the unit without the antibacterial mesh dust filter.
- The active carbon filter and HEPA filters should be replaced as necessary after 3-6 months of usage, depending upon the conditions of use.
- IMPORTANT: The HEPA and active carbon filters CAN NOT be washed as they shall get damaged.
- Unintended use of the appliance or damage to the housing may result in the escape of dangerous UV-C radiation. UV-C radiation may, even in small doses cause harm to the eyes and skin.
- Appliances that are obviously damaged must not be operated.
- The UV-C lamp is not user-replaceable.
Caring and Cleaning
CARE AND CLEANING CONTINUED…
- The water tank should be cleaned every few weeks to prevent the growth of mold, mildew, and bacteria.
- Partially fill the tank with clean water and add a little mild detergent. Swish it around and then empty the tank and rinse. To thoroughly clean and dry the tank, you can remove the handle and lid to gain access to the inside of the tank by following these instructions:
Note: After cleaning, drying, and reassembling the water tank, it must be reinserted securely into a dehumidifier in order to restart the operation.
STORAGE
If you plan on not using your dehumidifier for a long time, store your
dehumidifier by following these instructions:
- Switch off the unit and unplug it from the main socket.
- Empty and clean the water tank.
- Clean the unit and the filters (Please refer to the Care and Cleaning section).
- Cover the unit and keep it in a dry place.
Troubleshooting

Three Year Warranty
Thank you for purchasing this Goldair Platinum product. Your product is
warranted against faults and manufactured when used in normal domestic use for
a period of three years. In non-domestic use Goldair limits the voluntary
warranty to three months.
Goldair undertakes to repair or replace this product at no charge if found to
be defective due to a manufacturing fault during the warranty period.
This warranty excludes damage caused by misuse, neglect, shipping accident,
incorrect installation, or work carried out by anyone other than a qualified
electrical service technician.
PLEASE KEEP YOUR RECEIPT AS THIS WILL HELP VERIFY YOUR WARRANTY.
The benefits given to you by this warranty are in addition to other rights and
remedies available to you under the law in relation to the goods or services
to which this warranty relates.
In Australia, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the
Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a
major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or
