Function
The immersion pump draws the conveying medium through the suction holes
directly and feeds it to the pump outlet.
Designated use
The immersion pump is designed for private use in the house and garden. It
must only be operated within the framework of the deployment limitations in
accordance with the technical data.
The immersion pump is suitable for:
- Water removal from streams and shafts
The immersion pump is only suitable for conveying the following fluids:
- Clearwater, rainwater Any use not in accordance with this designated use shall be regarded as misuse.
Possible misuse
The immersion pump must not be used in continuous operation.
It is not suitable for conveying:
- Drinking water
- Saltwater
- Foodstuffs aggressive media, chemicals
- corrosive, flammable, explosive, or fuming fluids
- that are hotter than 35 °C
- water containing a sand and abrasive fluids.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION!
Risk of injury!
Use the machine and the extension cable only in perfect working order.
Damaged equipment may not be operated. Do not disable safety and protective
devices!
- Children, or people who are not familiar with the operating instructions, are not allowed to use the machine.
- Never lift, transport or suspend the unit using the connection cable.
- Unilateral modifications or conversions of the unit are prohibited.
Electrical safety
CAUTION!
Danger from contact with live parts!
Immediately disconnect the plug from the mains if the extension cable has been
damaged or cut. We recommend a connection via an earth leakage circuit breaker
(ELCB) with a rated leakage current of < 30 mA.
-
The pump may not be operated while people are in the pool or pond.
-
The mains voltage at your location must comply with the information regarding mains voltage in the Technical Data. Do not use any other supply voltage.
-
The appliance must only be operated on electrical equipment in accordance with DIN/ VDE 0100, parts 737, 738, and 702. For fuse protection, a circuit breaker of 10 A and an earth leakage circuit breaker with a rated leakage current of 10/30 mA must be installed.
-
Only use extension leads approved for outdoor use with a minimum cross-section of 1.5 mm 2.
-
Always fully unwind cable drums.
-
Damaged or fragile extension cables may not be used.
➯ Check the condition of your extension cable prior to every use. -
If the connection cable must be extended, only a cable type H07RN-F and a molded sleeve must be used. This work must only be carried out by an electrician.
INSTALLATION
Mounting the pressure line (03)
The pump has a check valve on the pump outlet. This prevents the pressure line
being emptied each time the pump stops.
- Mount the pressure line (03/1) on the pressure line connection (03/2).
- Attach the connection cable (03/3) to the pressure line with cable ties (03/4).
- Prior to the immersion of the pump in the well and shafts, attach the enclosed cable to the cable lugs (03/5).
STARTUP
Safety
CAUTION!
Exclude, by suitable means, that, in the event of a fault in the immersion
pump, consequential damage is caused by flooding.
- Operate the immersion pump hanging on a cable.
- Operate the appliance only if the immersion pump is fully immersed.
- Always observe sufficient distance to the base of the shaft (min. 1 m).
- Never allow the immersion pump to run against a closed-off pressure line.
- When using in shafts, make sure the size is adequate.
- Always cover the shaft with a secure footplate.
Dismantling the pump base (04)
In order to operate the pump in a narrow shaft of min. 100 mm diameter, the
pump base must be removed.
- Unscrew (04/a) both fastening screws (04/1) of the pump base (04/2).
- Remove (04/b) pump base (04/2) from the pump (04/3).
OPERATION
Lowering the pump
When lowering and pulling up the pump in a shaft, make sure that the main
supply cable is not subject to tensile stress and that no objects fall into
the shaft. These can jam between the pump housing and shaft wall so that the
pump cannot be pulled up again.
Switching the pump on
CAUTION!
The immersion pump must not draw in any solid bodies. Sand and other abrasive
materials in the conveying medium will destroy the immersion pump.
- Fully unwind the mains connection cable.
- Make sure that the electrical plug connection mounted in the area is safe from flooding.
- Insert the mains plug into the plug socket.
Switching the pump off
- Remove the mains plug from the plug socket
MAINTENANCE AND CARE
Cleaning the pump
After conveying chlorine-containing swimming pool water or fluids that leave a
residue, the pump must be flushed out with clear water.
- Clean the suction slots on the suction foot if
necessary with clear water.
Checking the cable
- Pull the pump out of the shaft from time to time.
- Check the cable. If the cable is damaged, replace it with an original spare part.
- Check that the cable lugs on the pump are still durable.
If the cable is damaged, carefully try to pull the pump out of the shaft via the pressure line. Never pull on the main supply cable.
STORAGE
If there is a danger of frost, the system must be completely drained and the pump must be stored in a frost-proof place.
HELP IN CASE OF MALFUNCTION
CAUTION!
Disconnect the mains plug before any fault rectification work! Faults in the
electrical system must be rectified by a qualified electrician.
The appliance must not be included in the normal household rubbish but must be
properly disposed of.
Important for Germany: Dispose of the appliance at a municipal recycling
collection center.
