Instruction Manual We would like to thank you for your trust in us and wish you much fun and success with your new equipment.

  • Please read these instructions for use thoroughly before you use this new equipment for the first time. It contains everything you need to know in order to avoid damage to persons or property.
  • Strictly follow all notes on safety in these instructions for use.
  • Keep these instructions for use in a safe place. If you sell your equip-ment or pass it on to someone else, you should also pass on these instructions for use.

Understanding these instructions for use correctly

Markings on the device
This symbol indicates, that your device meets the safety requirements of all applicable EU-directives. Waste disposal and protection of the environment Electric and electronic appliances as well as batteries must not be disposed of together with domestic waste. The user is legally obliged to return electric and elec-tronic appliances as well as batteries to specially set up public collecting points or the sales outlet once they have reached the end of their service life. Important safety information

WARNING
Danger of electric shock and fire caused by short circuit or malfunction. A short circuit may be caused by defective cables or mositure. In case of a short-circuit the cable wires may heat up to such an extent, that the in- sulation or even the wires themselves will melt. This may cause fire.

  • Do not operate the device with wet hands or feet.
  • Operate the equipment only in dry environments.
  • Do not use the equipment outside.
  • Make sure that cables and cable wires are free of damage. This could be caused e.g. by exposure to heat, chemical or mechanical influences such as chafing, buckling, tearing, rolling over or chewing pets.
  • Take care to prevent the equipment from dropping down. If the device has dropped down on the floor have it inspected by a skilled electrician before you switch it on again.
  • Should the equipment be damaged or defective, or if you notice a scorching smell: Do not operate the equipment with damaged housing. Do not open the equipment. Do not repair the equipment yourself. Have the device only repaired by a skilled electrician
  • Always keep your device in good condition, as specified in these instructions for use.

Unpacking and checking the device

  1. Carefully unpack the scope of delivery.
  2. Check whether the scope of delivery is complete:

NOTE
Detailed instructions for the following activities can be found in the relevant sections of these instructions for use. Strictly follow the sequence of the following activities during first time use, to prevent damage to the device.

  • Set channel.
  • Mount transmitter on camera.
  • Press test button

Preparing the devices for use

Setting the channel
You can choose from 16 different channels

  1. Adjust the channel on the back of the transmitter. (on certain models in the battery compartment) Make the corresponding adjustment between studio flash and transmitter by displacing the pin.
  2. Adjust the channel on the studio flash. See operating instructions for the studio flash.

The following table shows how to correctly adjust the code between transmitter and receiver in the studio flash.

Setting the group by the remote control

  • Press the button on the side. The set group lights up for a moment.
  • Press several times to toggle between the groups.
  • Use the arrow keys on the remote control to regulate the flash power for the set group.
  • Press the button once again for approx. 5 sec to save the selected group. Or wait for approx. 15 seconds, until the display changes to the start page

The following table shows how to correctly adjust the setting between transmitter and receiver in the studio flash to one another:

NOTE
Flash settings can only be made if the settings between transmitter and receiver in the flash unit are matching. The test button on the transmitter can be actuated at any time and will trigger a flash

Mounting the transmitter to the camera

  1. Plug the transmitter with its shoe on the flash socket of your camera.
  2. Should your camera not have a hot shoes contact, you should use the attached cable to connect the transmitter with your cameras or the hot shoe.

Operating the devices

Press the test button
Before starting work you should check the function of the device and trigger your flash by pressing the test button on the transmitter.

Flash Power Studio Flash Change
Press the arrow keys (2) to increase or decrease the flash power.

Modeling light on / off
To turn on the modeling light on the studio flash, press the button for 2 seconds, and press the button for 2 seconds to turn it off.

Cleaning

WARNING
Danger of electric shock Do not bring the device into contact with moisture or water.

NOTE
Remove light and intractable dirt with a dry micro-fibre cloth.

Battery replacement

For this device use only accessories and batteries which comply with the prescribed specification. (See technical specifications.)

  1. Pull off the battery compartment cover on the bottom side of the device.
  2. Replace the battery. Ensure correct polarity.
  3. Close the battery compartment again.
