We would like to thank you for your trust in us and wish you much fun and success with your new equipment.
- Please read these instructions for use thoroughly before you use this new equipment for the first time. It contains everything you need to know in order to avoid damage to persons or property.
- Strictly follow all notes on safety in these instructions for use.
- Keep these instructions for use in a safe place. If you sell your equipment or pass it on to someone else, you should also pass on these instructions for use.
1. Understanding these instructions for use correctly
1.1 Markings on the device
This symbol indicates, that your device meets the safety requirements of all applicable EU-directives.
Waste disposal and protection of the environment
Electric and electronic appliances as well as batteries must not be disposed of together with domestic waste. The user is legally obliged to return electric and electronic appliances as well as batteries to specially set up public collecting points or the sales outlet once they have reached the end of their service life. Details are regulated by national law. The symbol on the product, the instructions for use or the packaging refers to these provisions. The recycling, the material-sensitive recycling or any other form of recycling of waste equipment/ batteries is an important contribution to the protection of our environment.

WARNING
Danger of blinding and eye damage
The optical radiation of the LED lamp can blind the eyes and cause after vision, if humans or animals look directly at the light source. This can lead to accidents and eye damage.
Make sure that humans or animals do not look directly into the illuminant and keep a safe distance of at least 2 m, if necessary use diffusers between lamp and model or object. Do not use the lamp for illumination purposes when shooting small children or babies.
WARNING
Danger of electric shock, danger of burning and fire hazard
Please remember that the device is still connected to the mains supply, even after it has been switched off. It is really voltage free and discharged after it has been disconnected from the electric power supply and a testing flash has been triggered.
- Switch the device off when it is not in use. Use the On/Off switch of the lamp socket.
- Discharge the device before starting any maintenance and assembly measures.
- After longer periods of rest remove the flash from the lamp socket.
- Do not operate the equipment with wet hands or feet.
- Operate the equipment only in dry environments.
- Do not use the equipment outside.
- Clean the equipment only in the way described in the instructions for use.
- Make sure that cables and cable wires are free of damage. This could be caused e.g. by exposure to heat, chemical or mechanical influences such as chafing, buckling, tearing or chewing pets.
- Take care to prevent the equipment from dropping down.
- If the device has dropped down on the floor have it inspected by a skilled electrician before you switch it on again.
- Should the equipment be damaged or defective, or if you notice a scorching smell: Immediately interrupt the electric power supply by disconnecting the mains plug of the lamp socket. Do not operate the device with damaged housing, defective illuminant or damaged socket.
- Do not open the device.
- Do not repair the equipment yourself. Have the device only repaired by a skilled electrician
- Always keep your device in good condition, as specified in these instructions for use.
- For this device use only spare parts which comply with the prescribed specification. See Technical Data.
- Remove easily inflammable materials from the vicinity of the equipment.
- Do not touch these parts during use and while the unit is cooling down.
- Do not touch the lamp socket during assembly or disassembly work.
- Allow the unit to cool down for approx. 15 minutes, before starting assembly or repair measures.
WARNING
Danger of cutting and splintering caused by a bursting adjustment bulb and breaking or bursting flash tube.
Even smallest residues of skin grease on the flash tube can cause bursting of the flash tube because of the strong development of heat during operation. Glass splinters can cause eye and skin injuries.
- Handle the adjustment bulb and the flash tube with care, to prevent the glass or protection hood from breaking.
3. Unpacking and checking the device

Within the scope of product improvements we reserve the right for technical
and optical changes. Not subject to identification as per RL 2010/30/EC
– Not suitable for illumination purposes in households. Specially developed
for photo and video shooting requirements.
4. Screwing the Sync flash lamp in and out
WARNING
Follow the safety notes at the beginning of these operating instructions to mount the Sync flash lamp.
NOTE
Compare the local electric power supply with the connection values of the
device. Should the connection values not match, please contact
info@walser.de.

Switch off the lamp socket and disconnect it from the mains supply.
See Operating instructions for lamp socket. -
Turn the Sync flash lamp into the lamp socket by turning clockwise.
Hold the Sync flash lamp by the edge of the housing head.
NOTE
Do not touch the lamp socket or the base.
- If necessary connect the Sync flash lamp with your camera, using the synchronization cable (Sync jack available, depending on model).
- The device is ready for use.
Disassembling the Sync flash lamp:
-
Switch off the lamp socket and disconnect it from the mains supply.
See Operating instructions for lamp socket. -
Trigger another flash to discharge the device – residual voltage in the lamp.

Allow the device to cool down for approx. 15 minutes.

Unscrew the Sync flash lamp from the lamp socket by turning anti-clockwise. Hold the Sync flash lamp by the edge of the housing head to unscrew.
NOTE
Do not touch the lamp socket or the base.
NOTE
Residual voltage may remain in the device after it has been switched off.
The device does not flash after the flash power has been changed.
8. Maintaining the device
WARNING
Danger of electric shock and danger of fire due to short circuit.
Have the device repaired by an electrician immediately.
Cleaning

- Do not bring the device into contact with moisture or water.
- Always pull out the power supply plug before starting to clean the device.
9. Disposal and environmental protection
Please dispose of your device at your local disposal area at no charge.
