The Walimex pro RGB Tube Small M10 is a handy RGB glowstick with bi-colour function for lighting effects in photo and video sets. It is perfect for illumination and special effects in streaming, food and product photography, interviews, social media videos, YouTube, Instagram, etc. and for light painting in long-exposure photos, for example.
The glowstick offers you the full RGB colour space, white light from warm to cold and 9 pre-programmed light effects. It can be controlled directly on the unit. It also has a USB-C connection.
With the 2× ¼ inch connections, the glowstick can be flexibly mounted on a mini ball head or standing or hanging on tripods. The strong magnet allows it to be attached to any metal surface and placed on any table with the mini tripod.

Markings and symbols on the unit
This symbol means that your unit complies with the safety requirements of all applicable EU directives.
Environmentally-friendly disposal
You must not dispose of electrical and electronic equipment, in addition to
batteries or rechargeable batteries with general household waste. The consumer
is legally obliged to return electrical and electronic equipment as well as
batteries or rechargeable batteries to publicly established collection points
or to the point of sale as soon as the equipment has reached the end of its
service life. More details can be found in national legislation. The symbol
used on the product, in the instructions for use or on the packaging, refers
to these regulations. Recycling, material recovery or other forms of reuse of
old units or batteries or accumulators are an important contribution to
protecting our environment.

Intended use
The Walimex pro RGB Tube Small M10 is a powerful glowstick with integrated rechargeable battery for use in photo and video shoots. It is individually adjustable and can be charged with an adapter via mains power or a PC or similar.
The glowstick is not suitable for use as a regular light source for living rooms, offices and similar applications.
Important safety instructions
- Read these instructions carefully before using the glowstick for the first time. It contains everything you need to know in order to avoid personal injury, environmental damage and property damage.
- Carefully follow all safety instructions in this manual!
- Store these operating instructions in a safe place and pass them on to the new owner if you sell or otherwise transfer the glowstick.
Risk of suffocation and injury
Children and pets can choke on small parts or be injured by the glowstick / tripod falling over. Improper use can result in accidents and injuries.
- Keep children and pets away from the glowstick / tripod and the packaging material. Also keep the glowstick and tripod out of the reach of children.
Electric shock hazard and fire hazard, caused by a short circuit
Among other things, a short circuit can be caused by defective cables,
moisture or wetness.
In the event of a short circuit, the insulation or the cable wire may melt.
This can lead to a fire or electric shock.
- Only use the original cables supplied with the glowstick.
- Only operate the glowstick in dry rooms and when outdoors, only operate it in dry weather conditions.
- Never allow the glowstick or the power supply unit to come into contact with moisture or water. Do not touch it with wet hands or feet.
- Do not drop the glowstick or throw it around.
- If the glowstick falls, have it checked by a qualified electrician before switching it on again.
- If the glowstick has been damaged or is defective, or if you notice a burning smell, do the following:
- Immediately disconnect the power supply by pulling out the charging cable and do not operate the glowstick again.
- Do not open the glowstick.
- Never repair the glowstick yourself. Only have the glowstick repaired by a qualified electrician.
Danger of glare and damage to the eyes
The optical radiation of the LED glowstick can dazzle the eyes and cause
after-images when people or animals look directly into the light sources. This
can result in accidents and eye damage.
- Ensure that people or animals do not look directly into the lamps and that a distance of at least 5 m is maintained.
- Do not use the glowstick to illuminate photographs of small children or babies.
Risk of impact and crushing
If the tripod or the glowstick falls over, this can lead to injuries. In
addition, when using the tripod or a ball head, the hand or fingers can be
pinched.
- Always place the glowstick / tripod in a non-tilting and non-slip position.
- Tighten all fastening screws firmly and securely.
- When using a ball head, be careful not to get trapped.
Fire hazard or risk of explosion
Using the glowstick in an explosive environment or with flammable gases can
cause life-threatening injuries or death.
- Do not use the glowstick in an explosive environment or with flammable gases.
Burn and fire hazard
The housing and the lamps can reach a temperature of up to 42°C.
- Do not cover the luminaire.
- Keep flammable materials away from the luminaire.
- Only touch the luminaire in the operating area during operation or the cooling process.
- Allow the luminaire to cool down before packing, transporting or adjusting it.
- Do not use the luminaire in ambient temperatures >35° C.
Precautions when using rechargeable batteries
At least one battery is installed in the luminaire. You cannot exchange the
battery yourself.
- Protect the luminaire from open flames and excessive heat.
- Do not store or charge the luminaire in small, closed rooms with direct sunlight or high temperatures.
- Do not leave the luminaire unattended when charging them.
- Do not charge with a damaged charger or cable.
- After charging has been completed, disconnect the charging cable from the mains.
Unpack and check the unit
- Carefully unpack the products included in the delivery.
- Check the scope of delivery for completeness immediately after receiving the goods.
- For detailed information on the scope of delivery of your model, please refer to pages 14& 15 of these operating instructions.
- Check that the items included in the delivery are undamaged.

Within the scope of product improvements, we reserve the right to make technical and optical changes. Illustrations may differ slightly from each other. Directive 2010/30/EU on energy labelling does not apply here. The unit is not suitable as a light source for illuminating rooms. It has been designed especially for the requirements of photo and video shooting.

Detailed instructions for the following activities can be found in the respective sections of these operating instructions. When using the unit for the first time, follow the sequence of the following steps to avoid damage to the unit.
Please observe the safety instructions in the respective sections for all activities.
Preparing the unit for use
Mounting the glowstick on a tripod / the mini tripod
Your glowstick has a ¼ inch thread at both ends and can be mounted on a tripod with the appropriate mounting screw or the mini tripod (20).
- Unfold the tripod / mini tripod (20) and place it securely and level.
- If necessary, secure the ball head of the tripod by tightening it.
- If necessary, hold the mounting screw of the tripod and screw the thread of the glowstick onto the mounting screw until both are firmly connected and no longer wobble.
- Check that the tripod is secure and cannot fall over.
Attach the glowstick with the magnets
The strong magnets in both ends of the glowstick will stick to any magnetic metal surface.
- Hold the glowstick with both or one magnetic end against the metal surface.
- Check that the glowstick actually holds and does not fall off or cause the object to tip or bend.
Charging the glowstick
The glowstick can be used while it is charging, provided it still has some
remaining battery power.
If the battery is low, the brightness will be reduced during charging.
- Switch off the glowstick so that you are not dazzled when you switch it on. To do this, move the on/off switch (7) to the position [OFF].
- Connect the USB-A plug of the charging cable (19) into the corresponding connection socket (21) on the underside of the glowstick.
- Connect the USB-A connector of the charging cable (19) for charging via a suitable adapter to a protective earthed socket of the local mains supply or directly to a PC or similar with USB-A connection.
Only use suitable adapters
Switching the glowstick on and of
- To switch on the unit, bring the on/off switch to the (7) to the [ON].position.
NOTE – Switch off the glowstick after use and disconnect it from the smartphone or similar or from the power supply if you are not going to use it for a longer period of time.
- To switch off, move the on/off switch (7) to the [OFF] position.
Recommendations for handling the battery of your glowstick:
• When charging is complete, unplug the USB-C charging cable.
• If you have not used the glowstick for a long time, charge the battery before using the glowstick. Otherwise, it will not switch on without power.
• To prolong the life of your battery, we recommend charging it every three months.
• Strictly adhere to the instructions for using the glowstick or battery, otherwise a fire may occur.
NOTE – Your glowstick has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery, which has a limited life span. After a certain period of use, the performance decreases. However, this is a normal phenomenon!
Operating and operating the glowstick
You operate the glowstick manually using the elements in the operating area (3).
Set colour mode (H 0-360°) on the glowstick

Switch on the glowstick as described in the chapter 6.

Press the M button (5) once briefly to select the colour setting mode HSI.
– The display shows HSI in the upper line of the display. -
Press the adjustment knob + or – (6) repeatedly until the desired colour (H 0-360°) is displayed.
– The selected colour is shown in the middle line of the display (4).
Setting the colour saturation (S 1-100) on the glowstick

Switch on the glowstick as described in the chapter 6.

If you are already in colour mode, press the M button (5) briefly once more.

Press the M button (5) twice briefly to select the colour setting mode HSI.
– The display shows HSI in the upper line of the display. -
Press the adjustment knob + or – (6) repeatedly until the desired saturation (S 1-100) is displayed.
– The selected saturation is shown in the middle line of the display (4).
Set the brightness ( 1-100%) on the glowstick

Switch on the glowstick as described in the chapter 6.

Press the F (8) button 1× briefly to select the brightness setting mode
– The display shows HSI in the upper line of the display. -
Press the adjustment knob + or – (6) repeatedly, until the desired brightness ( 1-100%) is displayed.
– The selected brightness is shown in the bottom line of the display (4).
Set the colour temperature ( 3200-7500K) on the glowstick
- Switch on the glowstick as described in the chapter 6.
- Press the M button (5) until the colour temperature mode CCT is shown on the top line of the display
- Press the adjustment knob + or – (6) repeatedly until the desired colour temperature ( 3200-7500K) is displayed. – The selected colour temperature is shown in the middle line of the display (4) .
Setting the lighting effect ( 1-9) on the glowstick

Switch on the glowstick as described in the chapter 6.

Press the M button (5) repeatedly, until the light effect mode MLM is displayed in the upper line of the display.

Press the adjustment knob + or – (6) repeatedly until the desired light effect ( ****1-9) is displayed.
– The selected light effect (1 Interval flash, 2 Continuous flash, 3 Screen simulation, 4 Low RGB light, 5 High RGB light, 6 Candlelight simulation, 7 Police car, 8 Ambulance, 9 Fire truck) is shown in the middle line of the display (3). -
To end the selected light effect, press the M button (5) briefly once.
Transporting or storing the glowstick
- Switch off the glowstick. To do this, move the on/off switch (7) to the position [OFF].
- Pull the mains plug of the adapter out of the socket or the charging cable out of the PC or similar.
- Pull the USB-C plug of the charging cable (20) out of the connection socket (21) on the underside of the glowstick.
- Let the glowstick cool down completely.
- If necessary, remove the glowstick from the tripod.
- Clean the glowstick and the mini tripod if necessary (see chapter 9).
- Stow the glowstick and accessories in the article packaging.
NOTE – Always store the glowstick in a dry and dust-free place.
Cleaning
Only clean the components as indicated in the table below. Never allow the glowstick or the power supply unit to come into contact with moisture or water.
