safety instructions

  • Please read the instructions carefully and completely before operating this appliance and retain for future use.

  • The appliance is intended solely for domestic use within the home.

  • Always use batteries which corresponds with the voltage printed on the bottom of the appliance.

  • Caution! Do not stand on the outer edge to one side of the scale otherwise it may tip!

  • An electrical appliance is not a toy and should therefore always be placed outside of the reach of children. Children are not always able to understand potential risks. Teach children a responsible handling of electrical appliances.

  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

  • If possible, always weigh yourself at the same time of day
    (preferably in the morning), after using the toilet, on an empty stomach and unclothed, in order to achieve comparable results.

  • Stand on the scale without moving and with equal weight distribution on both feet!

  • Do not stand on the scale with wet feet and do not step on the scale when its surface is wet – danger of slipping!

  • Minor deviations are normal. When you drink 1 glass of water for example a difference of 300 grams can occur.

  • Protect the scale against hard knocks, moisture, dust, chemicals, major temperature fluctuations and heat sources which are too close (stove, heating radiators).

  • Always ensure that the scale is placed on a flat, stable surface and only use it indoors.

  • If you decide never to use the appliance again, we advise you to dispose of it in special containers or at a municipal waste collection point.

  • Never immerse the scale in water or other liquids.

  • The scale can accept a maximum load of 180 kg. The weight measurement is displayed in increments of 100 g.

  • When you want to store the scale for a longer period, we advise to keep it in the original carton.

  • Repairs may only be carried out by Inventum customer service or authorized dealers. Before submitting any complaint, first check the batteries and replace them if necessary.

  • If a battery has leaked, put on protective gloves and clean the battery compartment with a dry cloth.

  • The device is only for private use and is not intended for medical or commercial purposes.

  • Please note that technically related measuring tolerances are possible, as the scale is not calibrated for professional medical applications.

  • If the appliance is used for other purposes than intended, or is it not handled in accordance with the instruction manual, the full responsibility for any consequences will rest with the user. Any damages to the product or other things are not covered by the warranty.

Legislation requires that all electrical and electronic equipment must be collected for reuse and recycling. Electrical and electronic equipment marked with the symbol indicating separate collection of such equipment must be returned to a municipal waste collection point.

Weight problems, particularly predominance, can cause or accelerate diseases. Therefore regular checks are advisable. The body weight depends on fixed and influenceable factors. To the first belong age, sex as well as hereditary- conditioned influences. To the influenceable factors belong the kind and quantity of the nurishment, physical and physological activity, as well as the process and the treatment of illness-related processes. Of special importance is the temporal change of your body weight. In order to seize this, you should weigh regularly. The maximum capacity of the scale is max. 180 kg (397 lb). During the weight measurement the results are indicated in 100 g steps (0.2 lb).

before first use

Before you use the appliance for the first time, please do as follows: Carefully unpack the appliance and remove all the packaging material. Keep the material (plastic bags and cardboard) out of reach of children. Check the appliance after unpacking for any damage, possible from transportation. Before the first use the scale must be initialised. This must be done every time you use the scale on a different spot or when the batteries are replaced.
Place the scale on a flat and stable surface. With your foot press on the middle of the glass surface. The display will indicate 0000 or —–. The scale will automatically switch off. The scale is now ready for use.

convert measuring unit

Press the UNIT button on the back of the scale to select the correct measuring unit(kg/lb). kg = kilograms
lb = pounds
Place the scale on a flat and stable surface and wait for the scale to turn itself off.

weighing

Stand directly on the scale to weigh yourself. As soon as the result blinks and then stops blinking the measurement is done. The scale will turn itself off after about 10 seconds. If you wish to weigh yourself again, please wait 10 seconds before standing on the scale.
Important: always use the scale on a flat and stable surface, never on a rug or carpet. The maximum weighing capacity of the scale is 180 kg. When the maximum is exceeded the display will show —-.

batteries

When Lo appears in the display, the batteries are almost empty. If necessary please use a small screwdriver to remove the batteries. Check the polarities of the batteries before placing. Always use new batteries.

cleaning & maintenance

Wipe the scale only with a damp cloth to clean it.

  • Never immerse the scale in water or any other liquids.
  • Handle the scale with care, protect the scale from impact with hard object and do not drop it.
  • Never use any abrasives!
