PART 1: IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

This appliance may be used by children 8 years of age and older and by persons with physical or mental impairments or by inexperienced persons if they are properly supervised or have been informed about how to use of the product in a safe manner and understand the potential dangers. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance performed by the user must not be performed by unsupervised children.
Important instructions
When using electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should be followed including the following:
Please read these instructions before using the appliance and retain them for future reference.

  •  To protect against electrical hazard, do not immerse any part of the appliance, or cord in water or any other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used near children. Always keep the appliance away from children.
  • Do not leave the appliance unattended when in use. Unplug after each use.
  • Always use the appliance on a dry, level surface.
  •  Do not use this appliance outdoors.
  • Always unplug the appliance from the wall socket when not in use and before cleaning.
  • Do not use this appliance with any food stus containing sugar or with damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water. To avoid the risk of electrical shock, do not disassemble; send the toaster to the nearest service facility.
  • In the interest of safety, regular periodic close checks should be carried out on the supply cord to ensure no damage is evident. Should there be any signs that the cord is damaged in the slightest degree, the entire appliance should be send to the service facility.
  • Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table, or counter. Do not touch hot surfaces. Allow unit to cool before wrapping cord around base for storage, or before cleaning.
  • Care must be taken not to touch any hot surfaces, do not store or cover the appliance until it has fully cooled down.
  •  Do not place this appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner, in or where it could touch a heated oven, or a microwave oven.
  • Do not use harsh abrasives, caustic cleaners or oven cleaners when cleaning this appliance.
  • When using this appliance, allow adequate air space above and on all sides for air circulation. Bread may burn. Therefore this appliance must not be used near or below curtains and other combustible materials. It must be watched. CAUTION is required on surfaces where heat may cause a problem – an insulated heat pad is recommended.
  • THIS APPLIANCE IS FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. DO NOT USE THE APPLIANCE FOR ANY OTHER PURPOSES THAN INTENDED USE.
  • Bread may burn. Therefore this appliance must not be used near or below curtains and other combustible materials. It must be watched.
  • This toaster is intended to be used for bread only. Other ingredients may cause re, electrical shock or injury. Do not use this appliance with any foodstus containing sugar or with products containing jam or preserves. Immediately unplug the toaster if re or smoke is observed.
  • Check if the voltage indicated on the rating label of the appliance corresponds to the voltage in your home before connecting the appliance.
  •  Connect the appliance to an earthed wall socket.

WARNING!!
Never attempt to extract jammed toast, muns, bagels or any other item with a knife or any other object, as contact with live elements may cause electrocution. Allow the appliance to cool down, unplug and carefully remove the bread.

PART 2: FEATURES OF TOASTER

PART 3: OPERATING TOASTER

  • Insert the plug into a suitable mains supply socket.

  • Place up to two slices of bread, muffins or bagels into bread slots.
    Warning! Do not cover the toasting slots with bread. If there is not enough space for air circulation above the toasting slots and it can cause damage of the appliance.

  • Select the desired browning setting, from No. 1 to No. 7 on the browning control knob. (No. 1 – lightest, No. 7 – darkest).

  • Before using the toaster for the first time, we suggest you to plug the appliance in, to select number 7 on browning control knob, to switch the appliance on without toasting any bread. This procedure should be repeated for six times to remove possible smell from production.

  • When using the toaster for the first time we suggest you to toast on number 3. Varying types of bread and personal preference may require a different browning setting.

  • Press the carriage control lever down until it clicks into place. Toasting cycle will automatically commence. Please note: if the toaster is not plugged in and switched on at the power point the carriage control lever will not click into place.

  • The toaster turns off when the desired toast colour is achieved and automatically pops up the toast. The toasting process can be stopped at any time by pressing the cancel button.

Toasting frozen bread:
To toast frozen bread, place the bread into the bread slots and select the desired Browning Setting. Press the carriage control lever down until it clicks into place then press the Frozen Button. The LED next to this button lights up during the roasting process. The roasting process begins.
Reheating toast:
The toaster allows you to reheat toast without additional toasting. To reheat, place toast into bread slots, lower the carriage control lever until it clicks into place and press the reheat button. The LED next to this button lights up during the roasting process. The roasting process begins.
In the unlikely event that the bread or crumpet becomes jammed, switch the toaster off at the power outlet, remove the plug from the supply socket and carefully take the bread out of the toaster, ensuring that you do not damage the element.

PART 4: CARE AND CLEANING

Always turn the power off, remove the plug and allow the toaster to cool before cleaning.
To remove any crumbs from the toaster, slide out the crumb tray from under the toaster, empty and replace in the toaster before using it again.
The crumb tray should be cleaned regularly. Do not allow breadcrumbs to accumulate in the bottom f the toaster.
Wipe the outside of the toaster with a slightly dampened cloth and polish with a soft dry cloth.
Do not use any abrasive cleaners. Do not immerse the unit in water.
Warning! Do not hold the appliance upside down and do not shake it to remove the crumbs.
