BUYER RECOMMENDATIONS
- Unpack the device carefully. Make sure there are no accessories left in the box. Check up] the device for damage; if the product was damaged during transportation, address the firm which carried out the delivery; if the product functions incorrectly address the dealer at once.
- Check up the package contents and availability of the warranty card. Make sure the warranty card has a shop stamp, a legible signature or the seller’s stamp and purchase date, and the goods number corresponds to that in the warranty card.
- Remember: in case of warranty card loss or discrepancy of numbers you forfeit the right for warranty repairs.
- Do not switch on the speaker system immediately after you bring it into a room from environment with negative temperature! After unpacking, the speaker system should be kept in conditions of room temperature for at least 4 hours.
- Before installing and using the speaker system, read this manual carefully and keep it for future reference.
- Shipping and transportation equipment is permitted only in the original container.
- Does not require special conditions for realization.
- Dispose of in accordance with regulations for the disposal of household and computer equipment.
- The date of manufacture of the product is indicated on the box.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Caution: High voltage inside! To avoid the risk of electric shock do not open or touch elements inside.
- To avoid electric shock, do not open the MSS and do not perform repairs by yourself. Service and repairs should be performed only by qualified specialists in an authorized service center.
- The list of authorized service centers is available on www.sven.fi.
- Do not allow the circuit of wires (including the grounded ones) between the speakers,M on the power amplifier or the ground, for it causes damage to the power amplifier output stage.
- Do not touch the MSS power cord plug pins for 2 seconds after unplugging it from the mains.
- Do not put foreign objects inside the holes of the MSS.
- Protect the MSS from high humidity, water and dust.
- Protect the MSS from heating: do not place it closer than 1 m from a heat source. Do not expose it to direct sunlight.
- Do not place any open flame sources on or close to MSS.
- Do not place the MSS in poorly ventilated areas. Leave an air gap of 10 cm or more. When operating the MSS, do not put any devices on it, do not cover it with cloth or other objects preventing it from cooling.
- Do not use any chemical agents for cleaning. Clean it with dry soft cloth only.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
MC-10/MC-20 Multimedia Speaker System with Bluetooth (MSS) is designed to play music and sound games, movies, etc. the MSS has a built-in power amplifier allowing to connect it] to virtually any audio source. MSS has a built-in Bluetooth wireless signal transmission protocol, FM radio and audio player. MC-20 model also has an optical input. Remote control (RC) is included.

- The frequencies are switched if stations have been present in the memory.
- The storage device must be formatted as FAT, FAT32. Memory cards SDHC class 10 or less can be used. Connection of external hard disks other than USB flash drives is not recommended, otherwise it can cause MSS damage.
Remote control
- : ON/OFF power switch button (ST-BY Mode).

- REV/FWD: fast track (in the Player mode and Bluetooth).
- REPEAT: player operation mode selection (in the Player mode and Bluetooth).
- LOUDNESS ON/OFF: Loudness mode on/off button.
- MUTE: sound on/off.
- : Bluetooth mode selection button.
- OPT optical input selection (only for the MC-20 model).
- FM: Radio mode selection.
- TUNE+/-: increase/decrease the frequency by 0.1 MHz] (in the Tuner mode).
- RESET: return to default settings.
- RESTART ( ): Bluetooth device disconnecting (source disconnecting).
- SAVE: memorize the selected frequency (in the Tuner mode).
Notes: Use the remote control at an angle no more than] 30°, no more than 7 meters away from the IR receiver. Direct the RC at the IR receiver display on the control panel. If the RC isn’t working, check the battery and replace the discharged battery with a new one. Remove the battery from the remote control if the device is left unused for a long period of time (more than a week).
PREPARATION AND OPERATION
Speaker placement
- Place the speakers symmetrically to the listener at least one meter away.
- Place the speaker system far away from supersensitive monitors and TV sets, as insignificant image distortion in these devices is possible.
MSS сonnecting and control
MC-10/MC-20 Multimedia Speaker System can be connected to virtually any audio source: DVD/ CD, PC sound card, etc. (see connection diagram in Fig. 4).
- Before making any connections, make sure that the MSS is unplugged. Connect the active speaker with the passive one using the audio cable (included). To do this, wring out the connector terminals on a passive speaker, incert the red cable wires of speakers to the red terminals and the black cable wires of speakers — to the black terminals (see connection diagram in Fig. 4),] and then connect cables to the active speaker terminals m.
Note: Check the reliable fixation of wires in terminals, connection compliance with polarity, and the absence of contact of bared wires with each other and the metal parts of the hardware.
- To connect the MSS to a PC, MP3/CD players, first plug the RCA jacks of the 2RCA to mini-jack Ø 3.5 mm signal cable (included) in the РС audio input AUX1/AUX2 i/j of the active speaker, then plug the mini-jack of the signal cable to the LINE OUT port of the computer sound card or to the audio OUTPUT of MP3/CD player terminals (see connection diagram in Fig. 4).
- To connect the MSS to a PC, TV (only for the MC-20 model) uses an optical signal cable (included) (see connection diagram in Fig. 4).
Note: Sound quality is directly affected by the correctness and reliability of the connection of cables. It is recommended that cables included in the package contents of the MSS be used.
- Insert the power cord plug into the mains outlet n.
- Turn on the MSS power supply using the ON/OFF switch (n, ON) on the subwoofer rear panel. Then, turn on the audio source.
- Turn on the MSS power supply using button b on the active speaker control panel or using button an on the remote control.
- Select the desired signal source by pressing short the INPUT button b on the control panel or pressing] the INPUT button an on the remote control b, c, d, o, p, q, display c will show the selected] input.
- Adjust the volume level with buttons VOL+/- f/e on the control panel or with the VOL+/-] buttons e on the remote control. (Fig. 3).
- Adjust the bass and treble level using the BASS+/- f and TREBLE+/- I buttons on the remote control ( Fig. 3).
- To listen to the radio, connect the antenna to the RADIO ANT k jack (see Fig. 4) and adjust it for better reception.
- After completing the MSS operation, mind switching it off using the ON/OFF switch (n, OFF position), and unplug the power cord from the socket.
Bluetooth mode
- For the signal transmission in this mode, it is necessary first to interconnect the MSS with a signal source. For this press and hold the button o on the remote control or button b on the control panel, display c will show the selected input. The MSS will go to the search mode.
- Then on the signal source (telephone, smartphone, etc.) choose the search mode of devices with Bluetooth. The name of the MSS «SVEN МС-10/МС-20», will be displayed on the signal source screen, with which you need to intercommunicate*. Select this device and the «connect» command.
- When connecting to the source it is possible to control the player with the remote control using buttons 7, 8.
If the MSS has been already listed in the device list of the signal source, then the second activation of the search mode is not required. Select only this device and the «connect» command. You might have to enter «0000» code to connect some models of devices via Bluetooth.
AUX1 Mode
- Press the INPUT b button on the top panel or button AUX1 b on the RC to turn on AUX1 mode, display c will show the selected input.
AUX2 Mode
- Press the INPUT b button on the top panel or button AUX2 d on the RC to turn on AUX2 mode, display c will show the selected input.
Player Mode
- The system will automatically enter the Player mode when a USB device (USB-flash or micro SD-card)* is connected to the appropriate connectors, or press the INPUT button b on the front panel or the button c on the remote control, he display will show the selected mode. The files will automatically start playing.
- You can select the playback mode using the remote control REPEAT button t («ONE» — the playing track replay; «RND» — play random tracks; «ALL» — play all tracks available), the display will show the selected mode.
- The MSS operation may be incorrect if an SD card of 512 Mb capacity or lower is used. If a USB flash device of 8 Gb capacity or more is used, command processing time may be extended.
ST-BY Mode
- To enter/exit this mode, press and hold down button b on the front panel or button an on the remote control.
MUTE Mode
- Press the MUTE button n on the remote control to select the MUTE mode. Press this button n again to leave the MUTE mode.
Tuner Mode
- To switch to the Tuner mode, use the INPUT button b on the front panel or the FM button 17on the remote control. The display will show the selected mode.
- To auto scan and memorize the found stations, press the SCAN button h on the remote control.
- To stop auto scanning, press this button again before the scanning is over. The display will show the frequency of being scanned. When the channel is being memorized, the display shows its number for a short moment.
- For manual scanning, use buttons TUNE-/+ r on the remote control. To save the selected station, press the SAVE button u on the remote control, and the selected frequency is stored in the next available memory location.
- If preset stations are available in the memory, you can switch from one to another by short pressing buttons CH+/- e and f on the front panel or buttons CH+/- g on the remote control.
- You can also enter the number of the preset station with the remote control numeric pad button 10.
Optical model (only for MC-20 model)
- To switch to the OPT mode press the INPUT button b on the front panel or button OPT p on the remote control. The display will show the selected mode.
Notes: Use the sound card Line-Out to increase the sound playback quality. The MSS control description can differ from the given one in this Operation Manual due to the constant improvement of the software. The last version of the Operation Manual sees on www.sven.fi.
TROUBLESHOOTING
