NEWAGE VersaRac Multi-Hook Accessory Kits
Unpacking
- Begin by placing the package on a covered flat surface.
- Remove all cardboard, foam packaging material and clear plastic bags.
- Dispose / recycle all packaging materials.
- Verify all the contents in the box and gather the required tools. See “Parts” and “Tools Needed” in the list below.

Depending on the load capacity of the purchased unit, weights need to be evenly distributed. The overhead rack or Pro Wall Mounted Shelves need to be anchored into a solid wood joists or supports capable of supporting such a load.

Each accessory hook has a rated load capacity. The loaded weight of the hooks and accessories must be included in maximum load for the overhead rack or Pro Wall Mounted Shelves

Do not load overload the overhead rack or Pro Wall Mounted Shelves. Live loads (people, pets, etc) may weigh less than the rated weight capacity, however will exert force on the rack beyond its rated capacity. As such, do not stand, jump or hang from your rack.

VersaRac’s and Pro Wall Mounted shelves must be installed into structurally sound overhead joists or supports. NewAge Products Inc. makes no claim to the capacity or strength of the structure to which the units are mounted.

NewAge Products Inc. can not be held liable for structure failure, or damage or injury resulting from structure failure.

Always inspect the structure of the ceiling to ensure there is suitable supports.

VersaRac is designed for installation into wooden ceiling joists. Do not attempt mounting to steel beams.

Ensure all weight is distributed evenly on the rack. Place heavier objects near the vertical angle posts, and lighter objects in the center.

Do not jump or climb on your VersaRac or Pro Wall Mounted Shelves.

Routinely inspect your system to ensure all components are fastened securely.

Manufacturer Warranty Limited Lifetime
When this product is installed, operated and maintained according to the instructions attached to or furnished with the product, NewAge Products Inc. will replace the defective product or parts if the part fails as a result of defective materials or workmanship for the Lifetime of the product.
NEWAGE PRODUCTS INC. WILL NOT PAY FOR:
- Service calls to correct the installation of any NewAge products or to instruct you how to use or install them.
- Damage resulting from improper handling, or products damaged by accident, misuse, abuse, fire, flood, improper installation, acts of God, neglect, corrosion, modification or mishandling.
- Products damaged by improperly loading beyond the specified maximum weight capacity outlined in the instructions provided with the product.
- Repairs or replacement when your product is used in other than normal, single-family household use, such as a commercial environment, or handled in anyway inconsistent with the installation instructions included with the product.
- Cosmetic damage, including scratches, dings, dents or cracks in paint that do not affect the structural or functional capability of the product.
- Surfaces damaged due to chemical interaction resulting in corrosion of paint or metal.
- Replacement parts for NewAge products outside Canada and the United States.
- Loss of product contents due to theft, fire, flood, accident or acts of God.
- Shipping or freight fees to deliver replacement products or to return defective products.
- Any labor costs during the limited warranty period.

Hanging S-Hook Installation
Center Installation:
Note: Please refer to page 7 if you are installing on a 2x8ft or 2x4ft
Pro Wall Mounted Shelf.

From the bottom of the overhead rack, determine location for utility hook to be installed; slide the folded end with bolt holes of the S-hook up through the opening in the wire grid.

Slide the folded end with bolt holes of the S-hook onto the wire grid.

Screw in the 5/16” dia x 1/2” bolt to secure the utility hook and tighten using a wrench.
WARNING: Only install Accessory Hooks onto initial securely mounted Overhead Racks
Edge Installation:
Note: Edge installs can not be accomplished with the VersaRac Pro or Pro
Wall Mounted Shelves.

From the top of the overhead rack, determine location for utility hook to be installed; slide the folded end with bolt holes of the S-hook up through the opening in the wire grid.

Slide the folded end with bolt holes of the S-hook onto the wire grid.

Screw in the 5/16” dia x 1/2” bolt to secure the utility hook and tighten using a wrench.
Note: If installing the Hanging S-hooks on a 2x8ft or 2x4ft Pro Wall Mounted Shelf, please follow the steps below. Installation of the Hanging S-hooks for 2ft deep Pro Wall Mounted Shelves should only be installed in the orientations , option 1 and 2, shown below.
Option 1 : Install the Hanging S-Hook above the wire grid support.
Option 2 : Install the Hanging S-Hook as close to the edge of the wire grid support.

From the bottom of the Pro Wall Mounted Shelf, determine location for utility hook to be installed; slide the folded end with blowholes of the S-hook up through the opening in the wire grid.

Slide the folded end with bolt holes of the S-hook onto the wire grid.

Screw in the 5/16” dia x 1/2” bolt to secure the utility hook and tighten using a wrench.
Hanging Bar Assembly Installation
- Place the top grid clips on top of the wire grid with the threaded rod facing down through the wire grid sections. These should be placed where you will be installing the vertical drop bars of the drop bar assembly.
- Fasten the bottom grid clips and the drop bar C-channels to the bottom side of the wire grid. The bottom grid clips should be orientated perpendicular to the top grid clips.
- Fasten the hanging clothes bar to the vertical drop bars using one 5/16” dia x 3/4” bolt and 5/16” 3 lock nuts with two 5/16” washers per side.
Post Mount J-Hook Installation
Note: Post Mount J-Hooks are not compatible with any of the Pro Wall Mounted Shelves.
- Locate the desired installation location and align the rivet nubs on the back of the J-Hook with the large hole of the keyhole slots on the vertical angle posts.
- Slide the J-Hook down to align the rivet nubs with the bottom of the keyhole slots.
Note: When installing more than one J-Hook on the same side of the vertical angle post, start with the lowest position and install the next hook above.
