Frequently Asked Questions
-
How is the isolation? Tons of bleed? Could you use these to track drums, for instance?
Wouldn’t say tons of bleed, and isolation is there. But obviously, at louder volumes, the headphones will leak, and they aren’t noise-canceling or anything. For tracking drums, I’m going to assume you’ll be monitoring with these (correct me if I’m wrong)? If so I wouldn’t recommend them (trust me, I’m a drummer too), instead I’d recommend the Shure SE215 IEMs. But for anything else like listening to music and mixing these are a no-brainer. I hope this helps. -
Pls, what is the impedance of these headphones?
Thank you for your question. The impedance of the CB-1 headphone is 32 ohms. -
Are these headphones over the ear?
They are if you have small ears. These headphones fit me on ear had to return them. They have good sound. -
Is this headphone good for csgo?
I had to google “CSGO”, but if you mean Counter-Strike, these probably aren’t for you if you need to chat with other players. There’s no microphone on these. You may want to check out the Status Audio HD One headphones that do have a mic on one of the two detachable cables that come with that set. If you don’t need to chat, these headphones are very nice for solo gaming – that’s what I mainly use them for.

Will these work for voice chat and gaming on the pc, ps4, and Xbox one using the boom pro or other mic?
Yes.i believe they should…they have a detachable 3.5mm cord system…the cables that come with it have a twist lock feature…but any slim 3.5mm cable jack end will work fine..i tried my other slim cables and they plug in fine.i don’t have a boom pro mic so I’m not sure how large the jack end on it is…but even if it is a little bit..you can use a slimline 3.5mm jack end adapter tip..its a slim 3.5mm plug..male on one e d female on other…i had to do that for some cables to fit my cellphone through the phone case…so yes it will work…and you will absolutely love the super tight precise sound and incredible imaging these produce…and for closed-back phones they have a fairly wide soundstage…not as huge and expansive as my Audio-Technica open back phones…but wide nonetheless…I’ve used these playing destiny and they sound awesome…and they have a great bass response..very tight and accurate….you will love these cans…they definitely rival..and beat most cans in the 100 to 200 dollar range for sheer accurate sound quality..in my opinion…hope this helps…buy them…you will be so glad you did..and you will remember what i said and think..that dude was spot on right…ok dude..rock on and game on with cb1 cans…they are one of my favorite new additions to my collection..I keep reaching for them daily…and super comfy…also great for gaming..i mean really comfortable you will see take it, easy dude. -
Can someone recommend a case that fits?
I bought the Sentey GS-1401 case for these specific headphones and it works just fine, and even has a pouch on the inside to put the chord in when disconnected. Looks like it’s on sale right now for $7, I’d go ahead and pick it up considering I paid about 15-20 dollars for it months ago. -
How are these with listening to music (classical/opera. pop, rock, country) I’m assuming that they’d be good to hear vocal recordings too?
I work in a recording studio environment and I got turned on to these headphones and they sound great, made me put my expensive headphones down to use these, you will not be disappointed ed, the price is another smash hit especially for a set of them …i am still using them ..a must-have. -
Will they work with mic rode not USB? i mean is it compatible with rode nt USB or i need to use a connector? if need a connector please advise which one
I use my headphones to do voiceover work. I connect them directly to my audio interface (Focusrite). Standard plug NOT USB. -
How is the sound on these with an iPod (music) and iPad (movies) for an audio source? I will use them 75% of the time for pop rock & roll.
I’ve used these headphones with my 4th gen iPod for checking my created music playback quality. The quality of these headphones is superb! I use them for mixing, recording, and casual listening. You won’t be disappointed. I’m not sure about an iPad, but it’s still an Apple product that often uses similar drivers and such. -
I have a big head and broke the Status Audio Classic because of it. Are there any good for bigger heads?
What can i say. Pads are amazing. I have mid to big size head they fit and adjust pretty well. Materials used are not great, not even 7/10. But i care for my stuff and its not a problem for me. As long as you are careful i dont think you are going to have any problems, but im still not sure about head sizes. P.S. i have terrible head dimensions, size, dunno, (if it has anything to do with your problem) any headphone on my head looks awful, and i have 4 of them. I dont care for looks. I want a good sound and omg this sound amazing.
