WARNING
Read this owner’s manual in its entirety before using your 100% STATUS helmet.
THIS HELMET IS INTENDED FOR USE WHILE BICYCLING ONLY. IT IS NOT INTENDED FOR
USE WITH MOTORIZED
biking rider’s protection and may not afford the same level of protection in
other applications. In an accident, a helmet alone cannot eliminate the risk
of serious bodily injury or death. Your helmet cannot protect against injury
in all types of accidents. Even while wearing a helmet, a low speed accident
may result in serious injury or death. Because every accident scenario is
different, it is impossible to know whether use of a helmet will provide
partial or complete protection. Studies have shown, however, that you are
better off with a helmet than without one. Remember, a bicycle helmet does not
protect what it does not cover and as noted above, it may not protect what it
does cover. A bicycle helmet does not protect against injuries to the spine,
neck, and face. This bicycle helmet is not designed to prevent neck injuries.
All helmets, including 100%®, helmets, are designed to reduce the risk of head
injuries in some accidents, not protect the rider’s neck. Follow all cycling
rules and laws on the street, track, and on the trails. Dangerous and extreme
sports can result in serious injury or death. Safety is your responsibility.
Use at your own risk.

HELMET SIZE AND FITTING
ATTENTION – READ CAREFULLY!
A helmet must fit well to provide the best level of protection. You should try
different sizes and choose the size that feels secure and snug on your head.
If you can remove the helmet from your head or rotate the helmet forward over
your eyes after the chin strap is snugly fastened, then try a smaller size or
different model. The helmet should be adjusted to fit the user (e.g. the
straps positioned so that they do not cover the ears, the buckle positioned
away from the jawbone, and the straps and buckle adjusted to be both
comfortable and firm). The helmet should be properly positioned on the head to
ensure the intended protection is provided (e.g. it should be placed so as to
protect the forehead and not be pushed too far back toward the rear of the
head). If the helmet is not a good snug fit, do not wear it, try on a
different size or different helmet.

WARNING
Always wear the chinstrap tightly and securely fastened while riding.
INITIAL FIT OF STATUS
Start by grabbing one chinstrap in each hand. Slowly pull each strap outward
and pull the helmet over your head. Gently shake your head to the right and to
the left. Next, shake your head forward and back. Rotate the helmet from side
to side and observe the movement of your skin in relation to the helmet. There
should not be any space around your brow under the inner lining.
when skin movement and helmet movement are nearly the same. If you feel the
helmet padding sliding on your head, it is too big. Try a smaller size or a
different helmet.
CHIN STRAPS
The helmet is designed to be retained by a strap under the lower jaw. To
properly secure, position each side of the chinstrap underneath your chin,
towards your neck. Next, pass the end of the right-side strap through the
D-rings, and then pull it comfortably tight for a secure and snug fit. Make
sure the strap and strap covers are flat against your skin and are not
twisted. The chin strap should be as tight as possible without causing pain.
Move your head up and down and side-to-side to ensure that the strap does not
interfere with your ability to turn your head, breathe, talk, or swallow. If
it does, re-adjust the chin strap.
Further test the retention system by putting your hands on the back of the
helmet, and try to push the helmet off by rotating it forward. If the helmet
can be rotated below the eyes, it is too big. Try another size or model.
CHECK FIT
With the chinstrap snugly fastened, take hold of the helmet with a hand on
each side of the helmet.
Without moving your head, try to move the helmet up and down, side to side and
forward and back. If you can remove the helmet, if it easily slips in any
direction, or if it shifts over your eyes; then try the next size down or a
different helmet.
A WARNING: DO NOT MAKE ANY MODIFICATIONS TO THIS HELMET INCLUDING THE CHIN
STRAP, IMPACT-ABSORBING LINER, AND EXTERIOR SHELL.
Do not cut, drill or extract parts from the impact-absorbing liner or
composite outer shell; you could reduce the helmet’s ability to absorb impact
energy. Any modification to the helmet will void all warranties.
COMFORT LINER AND CHEEK PADS
The comfort liner is connected to the helmet with four snaps. To remove the
comfort liner, gently pull on the black tabs towards the upper left or right
corner of the liner and unsnap the corners. Repeat this process on the lower
rear section to completely free the comfort liner from the helmet. To re-
install, place the comfort liner in the helmet, aligning the front of the
liner with the front of the helmet and fasten all snaps.
The cheek pads are connected to the helmet using 3 snaps. To remove the cheek
pads, gently pull the lower corner of each cheek pad closest to the front of
the helmet and repeat for each snap until the cheek pad is removed. To
reinstall, align each cheek pad in the proper orientation and fasten all
snaps.
WARNING: IF PLACED BACKWARDS, THE COMFORT LINER WILL NOT PROPERLY FIT IN
THE HELMET. IMPROPER INSTALLATION OF THE COMFORT LINER MAY COMPROMISE THE
RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. PROPER INSTALLATION OF THE COMFORT LINER IS
ESSENTIAL TO THE INTENDED PERFORMANCE OF THE HELMET.
VISOR ADJUSTMENT AND REPLACEMENT
To adjust the visor, slightly loosen the side screws with a flat head
screwdriver. Reaching under the center of the visor, slightly loosen the
adjustment screw with your fingers. Pivot the visor up or down to the desired
position. Hand-tighten the center adjustment screw to secure the position,
then tighten the side screws with a flat head screwdriver to fully hold in
place.
To replace the visor, perform the above steps for adjustment but fully remove
the screws and visor.
Place new visor and insert side screws first. Then insert center adjustment
screw, adjust visor and hand-tighten the screw.
NOTICE: TAKE CARE NOT TO OVER-TIGHTEN OR CROSS-THREAD THE SCREWS. DOING
SO MIGHT CAUSE IRREPARABLE DAMAGE TO THE HELMET, NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY.
WARNING: IF VISOR BREAKS. REMOVE AND REPLACE VISOR IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT
WEAR HELMET WITH A BROKEN VISOR, FAILURE TO DO SO MAY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT OR
IMPACT THAT COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH ACCIDENT.

THERE IS NO VISIBLE DAMAGE TO THE SHELL. THE HELMET IS DESIGNED TO ABSORB
IMPACT ENERGY THROUGH DEFORMATION OR PARTIAL DESTRUCTION OF SOME OF ITS PARTS,
