Thank you for choosing an appliance from the KRUPS line which has been specially designed for cooking eggs.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
- Read all instructions.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug or base of the unit in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning the appliance.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions,or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized KRUPS Service Center (see Guarantee of Performance) for examination, repair or adjustment.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended or sold by KRUPS may result in fire, electric shock or injury.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven, or directly under cabinets.
- Do not remove lid or touch product when eggs are cooking as the appliance will get very hot.
- Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot food, water, or other hot liquids. Avoid reaching over the egg cooker when operating.
- Do not operate appliance without water in the heating plate.
- Do not move appliance for other than intended use.
- Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
- Lift and open lid carefully to avoid scalding.
- Be cautious when cleaning the measuring cup with its very sharp egg pricker.
- Position the appliance on a flat, heat resistant surface.
- To disconnect, turn any control to “off”, then remove plug from wall outlet.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

Caution
This appliance is for household use. Any servicing other than cleaning and user maintenance should be performed by the nearest authorized KRUPS Service Center only

Internal parts cannot be serviced by the end user. Repair should be done by an authorized KRUPS Service Center only
Special cord set instructions
- Regarding your Cord Set:
A. A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
B. Extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
C. If an extension cord is used, (1) the marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance, and (2) if the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be grounding-type 3-wire cord, and (3) the longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
SAFETY GUIDELINES
- Read the instructions carefully before using your appliance: KRUPS disclaims all responsibility for any incorrect use.
- Make sure the appliance is plugged in correctly. Any incorrect connection will void the guarantee.
- Do not leave the power cord hanging off the countertop or table. Keep children out of reach of the appliance.
- Place the appliance on a flat, heat resistant surface.
- Never obstruct the steam outlet (A) on the lid with any object such as a towel, dish, plate, etc. or with your hand. Steam is released from this outlet and you can burn yourself.
- Never immerse the base of this unit in water.
- Use care when cleaning the measuring cup (G) with its sharp egg pricker (H).
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

Unbox the machine and remove packaging and any other items that are not part of the product (labels, ties, etc.). (fig. 1)

Wash the lid (B), egg holder (C), measuring cup (G), omelet tray (J), egg sandwich tray (K), and poached egg tray (L) with warm water and some dishwashing soap, rinse and dry thoroughly. (fig. 2)
Note: These parts are also dishwasher safe. -
Wipe the heating plate (D) of the egg cooker main unit with a damp sponge or cloth and dry immediately. (fig. 3)
Note: Do not immerse base of egg cooker in water or other liquids. The body of the egg cooker is NOT dishwasher safe. -
Unwind the power cord from underneath the main unit.

Place the machine on a solid, flat surface. Plug to a socket. (fig. 4)
USE
Cooking eggs
The appliance comes with an egg holder (C), 3 trays (J, K, L) and a measuring
cup (G).
The measuring cup has markings on two sides, which allows you to cook eggs in
four different ways:
- boiled eggs (soft / medium / hard)
- poached eggs
- egg sandwich
- omelet.
HOW TO MAKE SOFT / MEDIUM / HARD BOILED EGGS
Note: The above chart is the amount of water suggested depending on how many eggs are cooked at a time. The more eggs cooked at the same time, the less water is needed.

Turn measuring cup (G) to side with boiled egg markings.
Note: The markings shown are for preparing 6 eggs. For fewer than 6 eggs, please refer to table above for water volumes. -
Once you determine how you would like your eggs cooked, fill the cup with cold water to the corresponding mark – soft , medium , or hard . (fig. 5)

Pour the water in the heating plate (D). (fig. 6)

To prevent eggs from cracking when cooking, prick each egg on its wider base with the egg pricker (H). (fig. 7)

Place the egg holder (C) on the heating plate (D), then place eggs on the egg holder (C) hole-side up, and cover with the lid (B). (fig. 8)

Turn the control switch (E) “ON”. The indicator light will turn on. (fig. 9)
-
Your egg cooker will alert you when eggs are done. Turn the control switch (E) “OFF” and the indicator light turns off. (fig. 10 and 11)
Note: Even after the alert has stopped, the indicator light will remain “ON”. Switch your egg cooker “OFF” as soon as possible to prevent eggs from overcooking. -
Remove the lid (B) by its handles carefully, taking care not to scald yourself as the egg cooker will be very hot. (fig. 12)

Carefully remove eggs from egg cooker using a pair of heat-resistant tongs.
COOKING TIP:
To stop the cooking process and prevent eggs from overcooking, run cooked eggs under cold water or place in a bowl of cold water after removing them from the egg cooker.
HOW TO MAKE POACHED EGGS / EGG SANDWICH
- Depending on the recipe you would like, use either the poached egg tray (L) or egg sandwich tray (K).
- Turn measuring cup (G) to side with poached egg, egg sandwich, omelet markings.
- Fill the cup with cold water to the mark corresponding to your chosen recipe. (fig. 13)
- Pour the water in the heating plate (D). (fig. 14)
- Crack eggs into the tray of your chosen recipe, one egg in one compartment. (fig. 15)
COOKING TIP:
Lightly spray the tray with cooking oil before adding eggs for best result.

Place the egg holder (C) on the heating plate (D), before putting the tray onto the egg holder. Cover with the lid (B). (fig. 16)
Note: Always place the tray on top of the egg holder, NEVER directly on top of the stainless steel heating plate. -
Turn the control switch (E) “ON”. The indicator light will turn on. (fig. 17)

Your egg cooker will alert you when eggs are done. Turn the control switch (E) “OFF” and the indicator light turns off. (fig. 18 and 19)
Note: Even after the alert has stopped, the indicator light will remain “ON”. Switch your egg cooker “OFF” as soon as possible to prevent eggs from overcooking. -
Remove the lid (B) by its handles carefully, taking care not to scald yourself as the egg cooker will be very hot. (fig. 20)

Take the tray out using an oven mit to prevent from burning your hands.
HOW TO MAKE OMELET
- Use the omelet tray (J).
- Turn measuring cup (G) to side with poached egg, egg sandwich, omelet markings.
- Fill the cup with cold water to the mark corresponding to your chosen recipe. (fig. 21)
- Pour the water in the heating plate (D). (fig. 22)
- Mix eggs and other ingredients of your choice in a bowl. Pour mixture into the tray. (fig. 23 and 24)
Cooking tip: Lightly spray the tray with cooking oil before adding eggs for best result.

CLEANING
-
Always disconnect the appliance before cleaning and leave to cool for approximately 30 minutes, or until completely cooled.

Clean the heating plate with a damp sponge or cloth and dry immediately.
Note: Do not immerse base of egg cooker in water or other liquids. The body of the egg cooker is NOT dishwasher safe. -
Do not use a metal scouring pad, scouring powders, or abrasives when cleaning the interior or exterior of the appliance.

Never place the base of the unit in water or under running water.
-
To clean the lid, egg holder, measuring cup, and trays, use a damp sponge and dishwashing liquid. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
Note: These parts are also dishwasher safe.
Important: When cleaning the measuring cup, be cautious as the egg pricker on the bottom is very sharp.
DESCALING
If you use natural tap water and have hard water, it is normal to have brown to white residue left on the stainless steel heating plate. Descale the heating plate and remove stubborn stains by following the instructions below:
- Add juice from one lemon and water, in ratio of 1:1, to the heating plate (D). (fig. 30)
- Turn the control switch (E) “ON”. The indicator light will turn on. (fig. 31)
- Boil the solution for 2 minutes, then turn the control switch (E) “OFF”. (fig. 32 and 33)
- Disconnect the appliance. (fig. 34)
- Leave the appliance to cool until the solution is warm. (fig. 35)
- Clean the heating plate with a damp sponge or cloth and dry immediately. (fig. 36)
Note: Do not immerse base of egg cooker in water or other liquids.
The body of the egg cooker is NOT dishwasher safe.
WHAT TO DO IF YOUR APPLIANCE DOES NOT WORK
- Check that the appliance is plugged in correctly.
- If your appliance still does not work, consult an authorized KRUPS service center (Refer to the list in the Service booklet).
KRUPS INTERNATIONAL LIMITED GUARANTEE
This product is repairable by KRUPS during and after the guarantee
period.
Accessories, consumables and end-user replaceable parts can be purchased, if

The Guarantee:
This product is guaranteed by KRUPS (company address and details included in
the country list of the KRUPS International Guarantee) against any
manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship for a period of 2 years
starting from the initial date of purchase or delivery date.
The international manufacturer’s guarantee by KRUPS is an extra benefit which
does not affect consumer’s Statutory Rights.
The international manufacturer’s guarantee covers all costs related to
restoring the proven defective product so that it conforms to its original
specifications, through the repair or replacement of any defective part and
the necessary labour. At KRUPS’s choice, an equivalent or superior replacement
product may be provided instead of repairing a defective product. KRUPS’s sole
obligation and your exclusive resolution under this guarantee are limited to
such repair or replacement.
Conditions & Exclusions:
The international KRUPS guarantee only applies within the guarantee period and
for those countries listed in the country list attached and is valid only on
presentation of a proof of purchase. The product can be taken directly in
person to an authorised service centre or must be adequately packaged and
returned, by recorded delivery (or equivalent method of postage), to a KRUPS
authorised service centre. Full address details for each country’s authorised
service centres are listed on KRUPS website
(www.krups.com) or by calling the appropriate
telephone number as set out in the country list to request the appropriate
postal address.
KRUPS shall not be obliged to repair or replace any product which is not
accompanied by a valid proof of purchase.
This guarantee will not cover any damage which occurs as a result of misuse,
negligence, failure to follow KRUPS instructions, use on current or voltage
other than as stamped on the product, or a modification or unauthorised repair
of the product. It also does not cover normal wear and tear, maintenance or
replacement of consumable parts, or the following:
– using the wrong type of water or consumable
– damage as a result of lightning or power surges
– scaling (any de-scaling must be carried out according to the instructions
for use)
– damages or poor results due to wrong voltage or frequency
– professional or commercial use
– ingress of water, dust or insects into the product (excluding appliances
with features specifically designed for insects)
– mechanical damages, overloading
– accidents including fire, flood, thunderbolt, etc
– damage to any glass or porcelain ware in the product
This guarantee does not apply to any product that has been tampered with, or
to damages incurred through improper use and care, faulty packaging by the
owner or mishandling by any carrier.
In order to offer the best possible after-sales service and constantly improve
customer satisfaction, KRUPS may send a satisfaction survey to all customers
who have had their product repaired or exchanged in a KRUPS authorised service
centre.
The international KRUPS guarantee applies only for products purchased in one
of the countries listed, and used for domestic purposes only in one of the
countries listed on the Country List. Where a product purchased in one listed
country and then used in another listed country:
a. The international KRUPS guarantee does not apply in case of non-conformity
of the purchased product with the local standards, such as voltage, frequency,
power plugs, or non-conformity with other local legal requirements or other
local technical specifications.
b. The repair process for products purchased outside the country of use may
require a longer time if the product is not locally sold by KRUPS country of
usage.
c. In cases where the product is not repairable in the new country of usage,
the international KRUPS guarantee is limited to a replacement by a similar
product or an alternative product at similar cost, where possible.
Consumer Statutory Rights:
This international KRUPS guarantee does not affect the statutory rights a consumer may have or those rights that cannot be excluded or limited, nor rights against the retailer from which the consumer purchased the product. This guarantee gives a consumer specific legal rights, and the consumer may also have other legal rights which vary from State to State or Country to Country. The consumer may assert any such rights at his sole discretion.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
