GENERAL INFORMATION

– This product meets the requirements of Pollution Degree 4 and therefore can be used in exposed weather conditions.
– This product is not suitable for supplying drinking water.
– Threaded water connections are suitable for hand tightening only.
– This product should only be fitted to a mains water supply.
– Please follow the instructions to make sure that you get the most from your timer for simple and efficient watering.

INSTALLING THE BATTERIES

You must use Alkaline batteries – alternatives will result in incorrect operation.

  1. Remove screws and back cover.
  2. Insert two 1.5V ‘C’ Alkaline batteries. (Check + and – are correct.). IMPORTANT: Rechargeable batteries must not be used.
  3. Replace batteries each season. (max 12 months use)

MAINTAINING THE WATERPROOF SEAL

  1. Ensure that the rubber seal is positioned correctly.
  2. Replace back cover and screw it down tightly.
  3. Repeat each time the back cover is removed.

HOW TO PROGRAMME THE TIMER
There are two watering operations – Automatic and Manual.

AUTOMATIC OPERATION

  1. Set the current time
    Turn the dial to the nearest hour on the Red scale (24-hour clock) then press the button. An audible beep confirms the correct setting.

  2. Set the watering start time
    Turn the dial to the nearest hour to your desired start time on the Red scale (24-hour clock) then press the button. An audible beep confirms the correct setting.

  3. Set the watering frequency
    This can be set in hours (every 6, 8, 12, or 24 hours) or it can be set in days (every 2, 3, or 7 days). Turn the dial to the desired setting on the Green scale and then press the Green button. An audible beep confirms the correct setting.

  4. Set the watering duration
    Turn the dial to the number of watering minutes required on the Blue scale and then press the Blue button. An audible beep confirms the correct setting.

  5. Turn the dial to AUTO to start the selected program.
    Automatic OFF
    Turn the dial to ON or OFF.
    If you wish to return to Automatic watering re-select AUTO.
    Changing current time, start time, watering frequency or duration
    Turn the dial to the desired setting and press the relevant button as instructed above.
    NOTE: You do not need to reset all settings.

MANUAL OPERATION

Manual ON
Turn dial anti-clockwise to ON.
Water will flow for 60 minutes maximum or until turned to the OFF setting.
Note: After 60 minutes water shuts off. The knob will still point to ON and needs to be manually set to OFF or to the desired number of automatic watering minutes.
Manual OFF
Turn the dial clockwise to OFF.
Note: Operation is only audible when the valve opens and closes. To check that timer is working, switch to a manual ON or OFF to hear the valve operate.

CONNECTING THE TIMER TO THE TAP
Use supplied adaptors if required.

PROBLEM-SOLVING

PROBLEM SOLUTION

The valve opens and closes when batteries are first inserted but then fails to operate when the dial is at ON or OFF.
Valve works but no water flows.
The valve works manually but has no automatic watering.
Knob points to ON but no watering.| Your AC+ has detected poor batteries. Replace with new ALKALINE batteries.
Check tap is turned on.
Set Auto Start time
Manual ON 60 minutes is finished.
Switch off or turn to desired automatic watering time.

PROTECT YOUR WATER TIMER FROM FROST. REMOVE FROM THE TAP IN WINTER. PRODUCT NOT GUARANTEED AGAINST FROST DAMAGE. REMOVE BATTERIES WHEN NOT IN USE.
