This document represents the original Operating Instructions.

Specified Conditions Of Use
The drill grinder is suitable for grinding HSS E, HSS, CrV or WS twist drills of 3.0 – 13.0 mm with a point angle of 112°.
The appliance cannot be used for works other than those for which it has been designed and that are specified in the Operating Instructions.
Any other use will be considered use in conflict with the designation. The manufacturer will not be liable for any indirect damages and injuries.
Please be sure to know that the appliance has not been designed for industrial purposes.

General safety instructions

When using electric devices you must follow the basic safety regulations to prevent fire hazards, electric shock, and injury to persons including the following:
Please read and follow all instructions before putting the appliance into operation. Keep the safety instructions for future reference!

Safe working
Keep the place of your work clean!
Messing in the place of your work can result in injuries.
Take into account the environmental effects
Do not expose the appliance to rain. Do not use the appliance in a moist or wet environment. Ensure appropriate lighting. Do not use the appliance near flammable liquids or gases.
Protect yourself against electric shock!
Avoid any contact with earthed parts.
Keep other persons at a safe distance!
Do not let other persons, especially children, touch the cable. Keep them at a sufficient distance from the place of your work.
Store the appliance properly!
An appliance that is not used should be stored in a dry, locked place out of reach of children.
Do not overload your appliance!
You will work better and safer at the output for which the appliance has been designed.
Use the correct appliance!
Do not use an appliance with low power for heavy work.
Do not use the appliance for purposes for which it has not been designed.
Wear appropriate working clothes!
Do not wear loose clothes or jewels as they could be caught by movable parts. For working outdoors, we recommend shoes with a non-slip sole. Wear a hairnet if your hair is long.
Use protective aids!
Protective glasses should always be worn.
Do not use the cable for any other purposes than for which it has been designed!
Do not use the cable for pulling the plug out of the socket; protect it against excess temperatures and sharp edges.
Avoid abnormal body posture!
Make sure you are stable to keep the balance at all times.
Care for your tools!
Keep the tools sharp and clean; you will be able to work better and safer. Follow the maintenance regulations and tool replacement instructions. Check the tool cable regularly and have it replaced by an authorized specialist if damaged. Check the extension cable regularly and replace it if damaged. Keep the handles dry, with no signs of oil and grease. Pull the plug out of the socket!
When not using the appliance, before maintenance, or when replacing the grinding disk.
Never leave tools that are switched on in the appliance!
Make always sure all wrenches and adjusting tools have been removed before switching the appliance on.
Prevent unintentional appliance switch-on!
Make sure the switch is in the “off” position when plugging the appliance. Extension cable for outdoor use: Authorised extension cables with appropriate marking must only be used outdoors.
Pay attention!
Pay attention to what you are doing. Use common sense when working. Do not use the appliance when you are tired
Check whether the appliance is not damaged!
Protection equipment and slightly damaged parts need to be checked carefully to whether they still work perfectly before being used again. Check whether the movable components work perfectly and are not jammed or damaged. All components must be fitted correctly and satisfy all conditions to ensure the perfect working of the appliance. Any damaged protection equipment and components must be repaired or replaced in an authorized shop unless otherwise specified in the Operating Instructions. Have any damaged switches been replaced in a service shop? Do not use devices where the switch cannot be turned on and off.

Have your appliance repaired by an electrician only!
This appliance is in accordance with appropriate safety provisions. Repairs can only be executed by an electrician, otherwise, there is a risk of injury for the user.

Guarantee
The warranty period of 12 months applies to commercial use and 24 months applies to private use and commences on the day of purchase of the device.
The guarantee solely covers inadequacies caused by material defects or manufacturing defects. Original payment voucher with the date of the sale needs to be submitted for any claim in the guarantee period.
The warranty does not cover unprofessional use such as device overload, violent use, damage caused by a third party or foreign materials, failure to comply with operations and assembly manual, and normal wear and tear.

Emergency procedure
Provide necessary first aid treatment corresponding to the injury nature and seek qualified medical help as soon as possible. Protect the injured person from other injuries and calm him/her down.
A first aid kit must always be available in the place of your work in case of an accident in accordance with DIN 13164. Material taken out of the first aid kit needs to be supplemented right away.
If you seek help, state the following pieces of information:

  1. Accident site
  2. Accident type
  3. Number of injured persons
  4. Injury type(s)

Disposal
The disposal instructions are based on icons placed on the appliance or its package. The description of the meanings can be found in the “Marking” chapter.
Transport packaging disposal
The packaging protects the appliance against damage during transport. The packaging materials are usually selected depending on their environmental friendliness and disposal manner and can therefore be recycled. Returning the packaging into circulation saves raw materials and reduces waste disposal costs.
Parts of the packaging (e.g. foils, Styropor®) can be dangerous to children. Risk of suffocation! Keep parts of the packaging out of reach of children and dispose of them as quickly as possible.
Do not dispose of electric appliances as household refuse. According to the European Directive No. 2002/96/EG on waste electrical and electronic equipment and based on including this Directive in the national law, separate collection of worn electrical equipment must be provided and such equipment must be recycled in an environment-friendly manner.
Recycling alternative of recovery: Alternatively to sending equipment back, the electrical equipment owner is obliged to cooperate in the professional evaluation. An old appliance may also be left at a collection center that will provide disposal in accordance with the national law regarding circulation management and waste.
This does not apply to parts of accessories and aids connected to old appliances and not containing electrical components.

Qualification
Apart from the detailed instructions by a professional, no special qualification is necessary for appliance use.
Minimum age
Persons over 16 years of age can only work on the appliance. An exception includes youngsters trained in order to reach knowledge under the supervision of the trainer during occupational education.
Local regulations may stipulate the minimum age of the user.

Training
Using the appliance only requires corresponding training by a professional or the Operating Instructions. No special training is necessary.

Maintenance

Wait until all rotating parts have stopped and the appliance has cooled down. After you stop using the multi-purpose sharpener, wipe it with a well-wrung cloth so that the surface and ventilation slots are always free of dust and any impurities.
