FAQs
What is an air purifier?
An air purifier is a device that removes airborne contaminants in a room to improve air quality.
What is indoor air quality?
Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) refers to the air quality within and around buildings, especially as it relates to the health and of the building’s occupants. Removing common pollutants indoors can help reduce your risk of indoor health concerns. Particles that can impact Indoor Air Quality include common smoke, bacteria, tobacco smoke, pollen, pet dander, and dust.
What is a HEPA filter?
HEPA is a type of pleated mechanical air filter. It is an acronym for “high- efficiency particulate air [filter]” (as officially defined by the U.S. Dept. of Energy). This type of air filter can theoretically remove at least 99.97% of dust, pollen, mold, bacteria, and any airborne particles with a size of 0.3 microns (µm)
How does it work?
An air purifier is essentially a motor with a fan that draws polluted air in a room into the unit and forces that air through different layers of filter. The purified air is then returned to the room repeating this cycle over and over to effectively improve the air quality.
Why are Medify Air filters special?
We, at Medify, use a three-layer system to catch and remove allergens, pet dander, and more; and are tested to remove 99.9% of particles down to 0.1 microns. We make sure our filters have an airtight seal, to reduce leakage of dirty air bypass the filter, and ALL of our filters are HEPA H13.
How to clean the filter?
The filter can be cleaned by a soft cloth.
What is the difference between MA-40 and MA-50?
MA-40 is a single room unit while MA-50 is a multi-room unit. The capacity of MA-50 is larger than MA-40.
How long does it take to change the filter?
It takes about 10 minutes.
my concern is quite operation. what is the sound noise level in DBA when operating?
I find this unit noise compared to the MA25. This thing really needs a 4th speed. my results 3 feet away. Speed 1 – 35db, Speed 2 -44db, speed 3 – 48db. that said it does move a lot of air, you can clearly feel the breeze 15 feet away. If you have a larger room and don’t mind the noise its fine. For smaller rooms go with the MA25 its nearly inaudible at lowest speed, very quiet at speed 2 and not bad at highest. It doesn’t move nearly as much air so keep that in mind.
How long do the filters last? And are they available quickly? If not ill look for another brand
Filters last 2500 hours and cost $69
When you buy the unit does it come with one filter already inside? or do you have to buy the unit and a filter to get started?
THE UNIT DOES COME COMPLETE WITH A FILTER SET THAT WILL LAST 2500 HOURS, WHICH IS APPROXIMATELY 6 MONTHS
What is the difference between the m112 and m-40?
112 is much bigger power and huge not noisy compared 40. I have both. 112 cover 2400 sq ft 40 cover 800 sq ft.
Does this contain activated carbon granules or an activated carbon sponge?
Carbon filter with carbon pellets.
How many amps dose it use
52W
