INTRODUCTION
Designed for professional SMPTE video applications, this 3G SDI 2×1 Switch allows you to determine which of two connected SDI video sources will be displayed on an SDI monitor. It supports bit rates up to 2.97 Gbps and supports SD-SDI, HD-SDI, and 3G-SDI video signals.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Front Panel
- Select: Press the button to switch between the two inputs.
- 1/2: One of the two LEDs illuminates to indicate the selected input.
- Power: The LED illuminates when power is applied.
- ON/OFF: Use the switch to turn the device on or off.
Rear Panel
- DC/5V: DC barrel connector for connecting the included AC power adapter.
- IN2: BNC connector for connecting an SDI video source device.
- IN1: BNC connector for connecting an SDI video source device.
- OUT: BNC connector for connecting an SDI display.
SAMPLE CONNECTION DIAGRAM
INSTALLATION
Perform the following steps to install this switch into your SDI video system.
- Ensure that all equipment to be connected is powered off and unplugged from its power source.
- Place the Switch in its desired location.
- Ensure that the ON/OFF switch is in the OFF (O) position.’
- Plug one end of a 75-ohm RG-59 cable (available separately) into the video input of an SDI display, then plug the other end into the OUT connector on the Switch.
- Plug one end of a 75-ohm RG-59 cable (available separately) into the IN1 connector on the Switch, then plug the other end into the video output of an SDI video source device.
- Plug one end of a 75-ohm RG-59 cable (available separately) into the IN2 connector on the Switch, then plug the other end into the video output of an SDI video source device.
- Plug the included AC Power Adapter into the DC/5V connector on the Switch, then plug the adapter into a nearby AC power outlet.
- Plug in and power on all connected devices. If necessary, start video playback on each source device.
- Flip the ON/OFF switch to the ON (I) position. The Power LED will illuminate.
- By default, the 1 LED will illuminate, indicating that input 1 is selected. Verify that you can see video from the input 1 device on the connected display.
- Momentarily press the Select button. The 2 LED will illuminate to indicate that input 2 is selected. Verify that you can see video from the input 2 device on the connected display.
Congratulations, the Switch has been successfully installed into your system.
