Dear customer, thank you for purchasing our product. Please read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep these instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing.

General Safety Instruction

  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • Before replacing accessories or accessible parts, which move during operation, before assembly and disassembly, before cleaning or maintenance, turn off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains by pulling the power cord from the power socket!
  • Do not leave the appliance plugged in power supply without supervision!
  • If the power cord of the appliance is corrupted, it has to be replaced by the manufacturer, its service technician or a similarly qualified person so as to prevent dangerous situations.
  • Never use the appliance if its power cord or plug is damaged, if it does not work properly, if it fell down and was damaged and it is leaking. In this case take the appliance to a special service to check its safety and proper function.
  • Pay careful attention when handling the grill to avoid injury, (e.g. burns, scalding). When handling the appliance use the handles.
  • When the appliance is in operation, prevent pets, plants or insects to get in contact with it.
  • After finishing work and before cleaning, always switch off the appliance and disconnect it from power supply by taking the power cord connector out of the electric socket.
  • The product is intended for home use and similar (in shops, offices and similar workplaces, in hotels, motels and other residential environments, in facilities providing accommodation with breakfast). It is not intended for commercial use! Do not use outdoor.
  • Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately. Do not put it in water.
  • When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull on the plug, not the cable) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
  • Do not operate the machine without supervision. If you should leave the workplace, always switch the machine off or remove the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead).
  • Check the appliance and the cable for damage on a regular basis. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged.
  • Pay careful attention to the following “Special Safety Instructions for this unit“.

Special  Safety Instruction for This Unit

  • Operate the appliance only in accordance with the specifications on the rating plate.

  • Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.

  • Never use the appliance outside and place it always into a dry environment.

  • Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure (that) the cord cannot get caught anywhere. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.

  • Make sure the cord never comes into contact with the hot parts of the appliance.

  • Place the appliance on a table or any other flat and even surface. It is recommended to use a heat-resistant and easy to clean pad underneath, also to protect the table or tablecloth from fat sprinkles etc. The power cord must not dangle to prevent accidental pulling down of the appliance. Never pull the cord to move the appliance.

  • The appliance must only be used with both plates properly installed.

  • Use the product in a well-ventilated area. Keep at least 4-6 inches of space on all sides of the product to allow adequate air circulation.

  • Do not place the product on or near a gas or electric burner, or inside or on top of a heated oven or other heat source.

  • Do not touch hot surfaces of the product. Do not move the product while it is plugged in.
    Allow the product to thoroughly cool before handling it.

  • Do not line the Drip Tray with aluminum foil or any other material.

  • Do not place or drop the product into water or other liquids. If the product falls into water,  immediately unplug it from the electrical outlet. Do not touch or reach into the water.

  • The temperature of the accessible surface may be very high when the appliance is in use.
    Never touch the surface during use.

  • Make sure (that) the appliance never comes into contact with inflammable materials, such as curtains, cloths, etc, when it is in use, as a fire might occur.

  • Be extremely careful, as oil or fat preparations might catch fire when overheated.

  • When using the appliance under an extractor hood, keep a safe distance between the hood and the appliance.

  • Use the appliance for food that is supposed to be cooked only.

  • Unplug the appliance immediately if a crack appears on the hot plate and make sure to take it to a qualified competent electrician.

  • Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance from the power supply.

  • Make sure (that) the appliance has cooled down before cleaning and storing.

  • When preparing food with your roulette always use the wooden spatulas supplied with the appliance or any other heat-resistant plastic spatula in order not to damage the non-stick coated surfaces of the cooking plate and pans.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Before The first Use
  • Clean the cooking plate and pans with sudsy water. Wipe dry. Than slightly cover plate and pans with the cooking oil.
  • When using your roulette for the first time, do not put any foot onto the plate or pans.
  • Use the grill by instruction „Control“
  • There is an invisible protective coating applied on the heating element as part of the manufacturing process. This protective coating must be removed before you can use the appliance for the first time. In order to do this, set the thermostat button to the maximum setting and leave the cooker switched on for approximately 10 minutes. Make sure that the room is properly ventilated, as some smoke can occur. This is not a cause for concern; it is the process by which the protective coating is removed. Switch off the grill and let it cool down completely, the appliance is now ready for use.
CONTROL

CAUTION: Do not use this product to cook or defrost frozen food. All food must be completely defrosted before cooking it with this product.

  1. Before using this product for the first time, clean the appliance with a dry cotton cloth. Make sure to replace the Drip Tray.

  2. Open the unit by pulling the Handle up.

  3. To remove the baking plates, press the release buttons, and take out the baking plates.

  4. Place the desired plates in the appliance by inserting the plate locking tabs in the plate locking openings and press on the plates till you hear a click. You may season the plates with butter, margarine or cooking fat. Since the appliance has a non-stick coated surface, the use of butter or oil is optional.

  5. Close the Plates and turn the unit on by plugging it into a standard electrical outlet. Verify that the Power Indicator Light illuminates in red. WARNING: The Cooking Plates and metal surfaces of the unit will become extremely hot when in use. To avoid a burn hazard, wear heat resistant mitts or gloves and touch only the black portion of the Handle.

  6. After the unit preheats for approximately 6-8 minutes, the Ready Indicator Light will illuminate in green, indicating the product is ready for use.

  7. Use the Handle to lift the Upper Plate. Place food on the Lower Plate using wooden or plastic heat-resistant utensils. CAUTION: Do not use metal utensils on this product, as they will scratch and damage the Plates’ non-stick coating.

  8. Use the Handle to lower and rest the Upper Plate on top of the food.
    NOTES:

    • The cooking time for different foods depends on the type and thickness of the foods.
    • Foods should be cooked thoroughly before consumption.
  9. When the food is cooked as desired, lift the Handle to open the Plates, then remove the food using the utensils. If more cooking will be done at this time, close the Plates to conserve heat.

  10. Repeat Steps 7-9 until all cooking is complete, reapplying cooking oil as necessary.

  11. Turn off the product by unplugging the Power Cord from the electrical outlet.

  12. When the unit has completely cooled, clean and dry it.

  13. Lock the unit in its closed position by pressing in the end of the Locking Latch farthest from the Handle.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Before cleaning, unplug and wait for the appliance and the plates to cool down.
  • Wipe the outside with only a slightly moistened cloth ensuring that no moisture, oil or grease enters the cooling slots.
  • To clean the plates you can let them in the appliance or remove them from the appliance (therefore press on the button 2 near the handle and remove them (see picture). If you let them in the appliance, wipe the plates with a damp cloth or towel. If you remove them from the appliance, you can wash them under running water. Dry them afterwards. The plates could be washed into the dishwasher.
  • Do not clean the inside or outside with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool as this will damage the finish.
  • Do not immerse in water or any other liquid.
  • When the appliance is not used for a longer period of time, protect it from dust and store it in a clean dry place.

TROUBLESHOOTING

The device is not working

  • Check that the mains connection cable is firmly plugged in.
  • Check the position of the thermostat.
