INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Congratulations on the purchase of this Audio product. Please read this manual
thoroughly prior to using the unit in order to benefit fully from all
features.
Read the manual prior to using the unit. Follow the instructions in order not
to invalidate the warranty. Take all precautions to avoid fire and/or
electrical shock. Repairs must only be carried out by a qualified technician
in order to avoid electrical shock. Keep the manual for future reference.
- Prior to using the unit, please ask for advice from a specialist. When the unit is switched on for the first time, some smell may occur. This is normal and will disappear after a while.
- The unit contains voltage-carrying parts. Therefore do NOT open the housing.
- Do not place metal objects or pour liquids into the unit This may cause electrical shock and malfunction.
- Do not place the unit near heat sources such as radiators, etc. Do not place the unit on a vibrating surface. Do not cover the ventilation holes.
- The unit is not suitable for continuous use.
- Be careful with the mains lead and do not damage it. A faulty or damaged mains lead can cause electrical shock and malfunction.
- When unplugging the unit from a mains outlet, always pull the plug, never the lead.
- Do not plug or unplug the unit with wet hands.
- If the plug and/or the mains lead are damaged, they need to be replaced by a qualified technician.
- If the unit is damaged to such an extent that internal parts are visible, do NOT plug the unit into a mains outlet, and DO NOT switch the unit on. Contact your dealer. Do NOT connect the unit to a rheostat or dimmer.
- To avoid fire and shock hazards, do not expose the unit to rain and moisture.
- All repairs should be carried out by a qualified technician only.
- Connect the unit to an earthed mains outlet (220240Vac/50Hz) protected by a 10-16A fuse.
- During a thunderstorm or if the unit will not be used for a longer period of time, unplug it from the mains. The rule is: Unplug it from the mains when not in use.
- If the unit has not been used for a longer period of time, condensation may occur. Let the unit reach room temperature before you switch it on. Never use the unit in humid rooms or outdoors.
- To prevent accidents in companies, you must follow the application guidelines and follow instructions.
- Do not repeatedly switch the fixture on and off. This shortens the lifetime.
- Keep the unit out of the reach of children. Do not leave the unit unattended.
- Do not use cleaning sprays to clean switches. The residues of these sprays cause deposits of dust and grease. In case of malfunction, always seek advice from a specialist.
- Do not force the controls.
- This unit is with a speaker inside which can cause a magnetic field. Keep this unit at least 60cm away from the computer or TV.
- If this product has a built-in lead-acid rechargeable battery. Please recharge the battery every 3 months if you are not going to use the product for a long period of time. Otherwise, the battery may be permanently damaged.
- If the battery is damaged please replace it with a battery of the same specifications. And dispose the damaged battery environment friendly.
- If the unit has fallen, always have it checked by a qualified technician before you switch the unit on again.
- Do not use chemicals to clean the unit. They damage the varnish. Only clean the unit with a dry cloth.
- Keep away from electronic equipment that may cause interference.
- Only use original spares for repairs, otherwise serious damage and/or dangerous radiation may occur.
- Switch the unit off prior to unplugging it from the mains and/or other equipment. Unplug all leads and cables prior to moving the unit.
- Make sure that the mains lead cannot be damaged when people walk on it. Check the mains lead before every use for damages and faults!
- The mains voltage is 220-240Vac/50Hz. Check if the power outlet match. If you travel, make sure that the mains voltage of the country is suitable for this unit.
- Keep the original packing material so that you can transport the unit in safe conditions.

UNPACKING INSTRUCTION
CAUTION! Immediately upon receiving the product, carefully unpack the
carton, check the contents to ensure that all parts are present, and have been
received in good condition. Notify the shipper immediately and retain the
packing material for inspection if any parts appear damaged from shipping or
the package itself shows signs of mishandling. ave the package and all
packing materials. In the event that the product must be returned to the
factory, it is important that the product be returned in the original factory
box and packing.
If the device has been exposed to drastic temperature fluctuation (e.g. after
transportation), do not switch it on immediately. The arising condensation
water might damage your device. Leave the device switched off until it has
reached room temperature.

Note: A type CR2025 battery is already installed in the remote control. Before use, remove the insulation sheet from the battery as shown below.
GETTING STARTED
- Unpack the digital radio and remove all packing materials.
- Completely unwind the power cord and plug it into the wall outlet.
- Pull out the antenna completely.
USAGE
When you first connect the unit to the mains socket, the display will show the
“00:00:00”. If you can receive a DAB+ signal in your
location, the unit will synchronize to the current local time. After
approximately one minute, it will switch to STAND BY mode.
- Press the STANDBY on the unit or on the remote control to switch the unit to ON mode.
- Press the STANDBY on the unit or on the remote control to switch the unit back to STANDBY mode.
- Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket if you want to switch the unit off completely.
Note:
- If the digital radio is not used for 15 minutes, it will automatically enter into standby mode.
- AUX mode is used for more than 4 hours, the unit will switch to standby mode. 15 minutes before entering standby mode. you will be notified with “AUTO-OFF” flashing on the display. To extend the AUX mode you can press the RANDOM button.”
TIME SETTINGS
MANUAL CLOCK SETTING
- In Standby mode, press the CLOCK button on the remote control. The hour digits flash on the display.
- Press the or buttons to adjust the hour digits, and then press the CLOCK button to confirm. The minute digits will flash on the display.
- Press the or buttons to adjust the minute digits, and then press the CLOCK button to confirm.
- The time is now set.
Note: Set the time manually if you are not receiving the DAB+ signal. As soon as the radio receives the DAB+ signal, the time will be set automatically.
TIMER
Use “Timer On” to set a time for your radio to turn on automatically. Use
“Timer Off” to set the time the radio turns off again.
SET TIME

In standby mode, press the [TIMER] button for about 3 seconds until the following message appears on the display:

Set the hour with the [ ] or [ ] button and confirm with the [TIMER]-button.

Set the minute using the [ ] or [ ] button and confirm with the [TIMER]-button.

The display now shows the following message:

Set the minute using the [ ] or [ ] button and confirm with the [TIMER/CLOCK] button.

Set the desired function (DAB / FM / DISC / USB) using the [ ] or [ ] button. Confirm with the [TIMER/CLOCK] key.

Adjust the desired volume using the [ ] or [ ] button. Confirm with the [TIMER/CLOCK] button.

Press the [TIMER/CLOCK] button for 3 seconds. Select “Timer On” or “Timer Off”. In the standby mode, the icon ” ” appears on the display to indicate that the timer is on.
SLEEP TIME
Set a time for your radio to turn off automatically.
- To set the sleep time, press the [SLEEP] button on the remote control repeatedly to select the desired sleep timer. You can select 90, 80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20 or 10 minutes switch off.
- The time is now set
- To cancel the sleep time, press the [SLEEP] button repeatedly to select “Sleep OFF”.
EQ OPERATION
Press the [EQ] button to switch between Flat, Classic, Rock, Pops, and Jazz modes.
REST

Set your radio to DAB+ mode.
-
Open the CD tray using the eject button on the remote control or on your radio.
-
Press and hold the [STOP] button until the following message appears on the display.
-
After the radio is reset, the DAB+ mode will be selected automatically.
Note: Please note that all programs will be deleted after the reset.
DAB MODUS
When the radio is connected to the power supply for the first time, the DAB+
mode will be switched on automatically. The radio will automatically scan for
suitable stations.
When the station search is complete, you can use the [ ] or [ ]-button to tune
in to the individual stations. The stations are displayed alphabetically. To
select a station, press the [ENTER] key.
Full Scan
The “Full Scan” searches all DAB+ and Band III channels. After searching for a
channel, the found channels are listed alphabetically and the first channel is
played back.
- To activate the scan, press the [SCAN] button until the display shows
2. All found stations are automatically saved. Use the [ ] or [ ]-button to find the desired station and press the [ENTER] button on the remote control to select the station.
MANUAL SEARCH FOR A STATION
In addition to automatic station search, you can also manually search for a station.
- Press the [MENU] button on the remote controller.
- Press the [ ] or [ ]-button until “Set Manually” appears.
- Now press the [ENTER] key.
- Press the [ ] or [ ]-key to scan channels 5A to 13F. Press the [ENTER] key to select a channel.
- Press the [MENU] button again to record the channel.
DRC
You can adjust the transmitter’s compression level to eliminate differences
in dynamic range or sound level between radio stations.
- In DAB+ mode, press the [MENU] button on the remote control.
- Press the [ ] or [ ]-button until “DRC” appears on the display.
- Press the [ENTER] button on the remote control.
- Use the [ ] of [ ]-buttons to select whether the DRC should be off, high, or low.
- Press the [ENTER] key to confirm.
REMOVE INACTIVE CHANNELS
You can remove inactive channels from the list.
- In DAB+ mode, press the [MENU] button on the remote control.
- Press the [ ] or [ ]-key until “Prune” appears on the display.
- Press the [ENTER] key to confirm.
- Use the [ ] or [ ]-key to select “Yes” and press the [ENTER] key to confirm whether you want to remove the inactive stations from the list or use the [ ] or [ ]-key to select No” and press the [ENTER] key to confirm whether you want to remove the inactive stations from the list.
SOFTWARE INFORMATION
- In DAB+ mode, press the [MENU] button on the remote control.
- Press the [ ] or [ ]-buttons until “SW-version” appears on the display.
- Press the [ENTER] key to confirm. The display shows the software version.
- Press the [MENU] button again to exit.
DTHCR SETTING
- In the DAB+ mode, press the [MENU] button on the remote control.
- Select the [ ] or [ ]-buttons and confirm with the [ENTER] button.

MEMORY
- Press the [MEMORY] button for about 3 seconds.
- Select the number where you want to store the station using the [PRESET] keys and confirm with the [ENTER] key.
- The station is stored in a few seconds and the display shows “Preset #Stored”.
- Once a station has been stored, you can recall the station by pressing the [MEMORY] button.
- Use the [PRESET] buttons to scroll through the presets and press the [ENTER] button to select the desired station.
DAB DISPLAY
Press the [INFO] button on the remote control. The following information appears on the display successively:
Signal strength
Program Type
Ensemble
Frequency
Signal error
Audio Bit Rate
Time/Date
DLS| The display shows an indicator showing the signal strength.
The style or genre of the program is displayed.
The name of the multiplex to which the station belongs is displayed.
The frequency is displayed.
If an error occurs, a number is displayed. 0 does not represent any error.
The Audio Bit Rate is displayed.
The current date and time are shown on the display.
Information about the program is displayed.

FM MODE
Switch from DAB+ mode to FM mode by pressing the function button and selecting
FM or by pressing the DAB/FM button on the remote control. The display will
show the frequency.
Automatic station search
Press the [SCAN] button on the remote control or the [PLAY/PAUSE] button on
the radio to start the automatic station search.
When a station is found, the scan stops automatically.
Manual station search
Press the [PREV/NEXT] buttons to manually select a station.
SCAN SETTING
Set whether you want to search all stations or only those with a strong signal.
- Press the [MENU] button on the remote control and select “Scan Settings” using the [ ] of [ ]-buttons.
- Select “All Stations” with the [ ] or [ ]-buttons and confirm with the [ENTER] key if you want to include all stations in the channel scan or select “Strong Stations Only” and confirm with [ENTER] if you want to include only strong stations in the channel scan.
AUDIO SETTING
The radio automatically switches between stereo and mono, but you can manually set whether you want to listen to the radio in stereo or mono.
- Press the [MENU] button on the remote control and select “Audio Settings” using the [ ] or [ ]-buttons. Confirm with the [ENTER]-button.
- Select Stereo or Mono mode using the [ ] or [ ]-buttons and confirm with [ENTER].
STATION STORE
You can store up to 20 stations, 10 stations in DAB+ mode, and 10 stations in FM mode.
- Set the desired station.
- Press the [MEMORY] button for about 3 seconds.
- Use the [PRESET] buttons to select the number where you want to store the station and press the [ENTER] button to confirm.
- A confirmation appears on the display.
- Once a station has been stored, you can recall the station by pressing the “Memory” button.
- Use the [PRESET] buttons to scroll through the preset stations and press the [ENTER] button to select the desired station.
FM DISPLAY
Press the [INFO] button on the remote control. The following information appears in succession on the display:

Frequency
Audio-Type
Time/Date| The display shows an indicator showing the signal strength.
The style or genre of the program is displayed.
The frequency is displayed.
The display indicates whether the station is playing in stereo or monaural.
The current date and time are shown on the display.

CD MODE
Switch the CD mode by pressing the [FUNCTION] button to select CD or by pressing the [CD/USB] button on the remote control. In CD mode, you can read CDs, CD-Rs, CD-RWs, and 8cms.
- Press the [EJECT] button to open the CD tray and insert a CD.
- Press the [EJECT] button to close the CD tray.
- If there is no CD in the CD compartment or the CD cannot be read, “No Disc” or “Unknown Disc” appears on the display4. When the CD is being read, the track number appears on the display.
PLAY CD
- Press the [PLAY/PAUSE] key to play the first song.
- Press the [PLAY/PAUSE] key to pause a CD.
- Press the [STOP] button to stop playback.
- To skip a track, press the [ ] key.
- To return to a previous track, press the [ ] key.
Repeat numbers
- To repeat a track, press the [REPEAT] button on the remote control. You can select whether to repeat only one track or all tracks on the CD. Select “REP_ONE” or “REP_ALL”.
- Press the [REPEAT] button again to deactivate the function.
Random playback
The tracks on the CD can be played back in random sequence.
- Press the [RANDOM] button on the remote control unit while the CD is playing. The tracks are now played back randomly.
- You can skip tracks or skip back to tracks using the [ ] or [ ]-buttons. They are also random.
- After all tracks have been played back, the CD stops automatically.
- To stop playback in a random sequence, press the [RANDOM] key again in this mode. The CD will now be played back in the correct order.

Storing numbers
32 tracks can be played in CD mode and 64 tracks in MP3 mode.
Note: Storing tracks is only available in stop mode.
- Press the [MEMORY] button to save the tracks
- Press the [ ] or [ ]-buttons to select the track you want to store.
- Press the [MEMORY] button again to confirm.
- Repeat steps 2 to 3 to store more tracks.
- When all desired tracks have been stored, press the [START/PAUSE] button to play back the stored tracks.
Deleting stored numbers
To delete a stored number, press the [STOP] button twice or open the CD tray
with the [EJECT] button and close it again
BT-MODUS
You can connect a mobile device to your radio via BT. Switch to BT mode by pressing the [FUNCTION] button and selecting BT or pressing the BT/AUX button on the remote control.
- Turn on the BT function of your mobile device and search for BT’s Audizio Prato name.
- If a password is required, enter the “0000”.
- Play the desired audio file from your mobile device. It will be sent to your radio automatically and will sound over the speakers.
- To disconnect the connection between your mobile device and your radio, turn off the BT function on your mobile device or change the mode of your radio by pressing the [FUNCTION] button.
Note: If the signal is weak, make sure there is no interference between your mobile device and the radio. Some mobile devices may disconnect on incoming calls.
AUX MODE
Connect a mobile device to the radio using AUX.
Switch to AUX mode by pressing the [FUNCTION] button and selecting “AUX” or
pressing the [BT/AUX] button on the remote control twice.
- Connect a mobile device to your radio using an AUX cable (not supplied).
- Play the desired audio file from your mobile device.
- Adjust the volume using the volume control or [VOLUME] buttons on the remote control.
The AUX terminal allows you to connect various devices such as an MP3 player,
cassette player, minidisc player, DVD player, etc. to the AUX terminal.
Note: If the radio has been in AUX mode for more than 4 hours, it will
automatically switch to standby mode. 10 minutes before the radio goes into
standby, the display will show “AUTO-OFF”. Press the [RANDOM] button on the
remote control to deactivate the AUTO-OFF function.
USB CHARGING
In each mode, you can connect a device, such as your mobile device, to your radio for charging using a suitable USB cable (not included). Use the USB charging port. Remove the UBS cable once the device is fully charged.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Radio
- Clean the radio with a slightly moistened cloth. The cloth must not be wet! Do not use aggressive cleaning agents!
- Do not place the radio in a hot, humid or dusty place.
- Keep your radio away from devices that generate heat or emit electrical signals.
CDs
- Descriptions or do not cover the bottom side of the CD.
- If a CD cannot be played correctly, it may be dirty. Remove fingerprints and other dirt from the CD by wiping gently with a soft cloth. Wipe the discs from the center outward in a straight motion.
- Do not use chemicals to clean the discs.
- Always insert CDs carefully into the CD tray of the radio with the printed side up.
- Only touch the outside of the CD. Hold them carefully.
- Always put CDs back in their cases to protect them from scratches and dirt.
- Do not place CDs in direct sunlight or in a place subject to high humidity or extreme temperatures.
- Do not write on or label the bottom of the disc.
