  2. Grill surface – flat
  3. Grill surface – ribbed
  4. Fat drip tray
  5. Thermostat unit with indicator led

PRIOR TO FIRST USE

Before using the appliance for the first time, proceed as follows: carefully unpack the appliance and loose components, such as fat drip tray and thermostat unit, and remove all packaging material. Keep the packaging (plastic bags and cardboard) out of reach of children. After unpacking the appliance, carefully check it for external damage that may have occurred during transport.
Place the appliance on a flat and stable underground that is resistant to heat and ensure a free space of 15 cm around the appliance.
Clean the grill surface with a damp cloth to which washing-up liquid has been added, if necessary. Thoroughly rinse the fat drip tray and dry it properly. The appliance may not be cleaned in the dishwasher.
The appliance is provided with a protective layer that must be removed prior to first use.
This is done by heating the appliance for approximately 10 minutes (position 3-4) without food.
Carefully insert the thermostat unit firmly in the connection point. Make sure the thermostat knob is on 0 (off). Before inserting the plug in an earthed wall socket, check that  the voltage corresponds with the information given on the information plate of the appliance.
Light smoke may form due to the protective layer burning off the appliance. Therefore, ensure proper ventilation in the room.
After removing the protective layer you can switch off the appliance or start using it.

GRILLING

Carefully insert the thermostat unit firmly into the connection point. Make sure the thermostat knob is on «0» (off).
Slide the fat drip tray under the appliance.
Before inserting the plug in an earthed wall socket, check that the voltage corresponds with the information given on the information plate of the appliance.
Make sure that nobody can trip over the cord or possible extension cord.
Turn the thermostat knob to the required position 1-2-3-4-5. Once the appliance has reached the required temperature, the indicator led switches off. Attention: When the temperature drops, the thermostat switches on again automatically.
Allow the appliance to preheat for approximately 10 minutes. After preheating the appliance is ready for use.
Place the food to be prepared on the table grill.
Use a low position for slowly grilling delicate dishes such as fish fillets and a higher position for searing meat, grilling vegetables, and whole fish.
A temperature that is too high could result in discoloration and seriously shorten the life span of the non-stick coating.
If a higher temperature is required, we recommend preheating the appliance at a medium temperature before turning the appliance to the maximum position.
The minimum temperature is 100°C at position 1 and the maximum temperature is 250°C at position 5.

  • Avoid contact with hot surfaces while grilling.
  • First, allow food to defrost before you start grilling.
  • Only use plastic or wooden spatulas on the grill surface to avoid damage to the non-stick coating.
  • Do not cut food on the grill surface.
The table grill has been provided with a non-stick coating. This allows you to prepare food in a healthy way, without butter or oil.
When you are ready to prepare food, turn the thermostat knob to «0» and remove the plug from the socket.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Clean the table grill after every use to prevent remaining food residues.
Prior to cleaning the appliance, switch off the appliance, remove the plug from the socket and remove the thermostat unit from the appliance. Do remember that the appliance requires some time to cool down after having been switched off. It is easier to clean the appliance when it is still a little warm.
Wipe the appliance clean with a soft cloth or kitchen towel. For removing caked food residues you must use a soft sponge with warm water and a little washing-up liquid. The fat drip tray can be cleaned with warm water to which washing-up liquid has been added. Thoroughly rinse the fat drip tray and dry it properly. The fat drip dray can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
Do not use abrasives or other aggressive cleaning agents. Never submerge the appliance in water and/or other liquids.
Discoloration of the table grill is only detrimental to the appearance of the appliance and does not have an effect on its operation.
Make sure the appliance is clean and dry before storing it. Preferably store the appliance in the original box. Do not place anything on top of the appliance to prevent damage to the non-stick coating.
