JUMPSTART AN ENGINE

wARNING
  • DO NOT allow clamps to touch each other or to touch a piece of metal at the same time when power switch is ON.
  • Use for boosting KNOWN GOOD lead acid batteries ONLY.
  • Modern vehicles with electronic management systems should not be jump-started without “protected” jump starter leads and it is necessary to refer to the owner’s handbook for jump starting procedures for such vehicles. Refer to the vehicle owners’ manual for other specific information.
  • When jump starting a vehicle, make sure installed systems have the same voltage outputs and avoids making sparks. Otherwise the vehicle charging systems could be severely damaged.
  • Inspect installed batteries and jump starter itself before connection. Do not jump start a damaged battery or attempt to jump-start a frozen battery. Be sure vent caps of non-sealed batteries are installed securely and level.
  • Vehicles apply the parking brakes and turn off the lights and all other electrical loads.
  • Failure to follow these instructions may cause damage or explosion.
  • Use safety goggles to protect eyes while jump-starting a battery.

SAFE BOOST OPERATION

  1. Turn off the vehicle ignition and all accessories (e.g. radios, lights, air conditioners and cellular phones).

  2. Set the emergency brake and put vehicles with automatic transmission in the park position.

  3. Make sure the Jump Start System Power Switch is in the OFF position.

  4. Determine the polarities of the vehicle’s battery terminals. The positive (POS, P, +) battery terminal usually is larger in diameter than the negative (NEG, N, -) terminal. If you are unsure, you should refer to the vehicle’s owner’s manual.

  5. Determine whether your vehicle uses a negative or positive grounded system: Negative ground system – Negative battery terminal is grounded to chassis. Most vehicles use this system. Positive grounded battery terminal is grounded to chassis or any other part of the vehicle. If you are unsure, you should refer to the vehicle owner’s manual.

  6. Never allow clamps (positive & negative terminals) to touch together or to contact the same piece of metal to prevent short-circuits and arcing.

  7. Follow instructions for a negative grounded system or positive grounded system as indicated below:
    Negative Grounded System:

    • Securely connect the positive ( +) red clamp to the positive (POS, P+) terminal of the vehicle battery or the remote positive ( +) terminal if equipped.

    • Securely connect the negative(-) black clamp to the vehicle chassis, engine block or a non-moving metal part of the vehicle which is veri•ed to be grounded. Do not clamp directly to negative battery terminal, carburetor, fuel lines, or sheet metal body parts.
      Positive Grounded System:

    • Securely connect the negative(-) black clamp to the negative (Neg, N-) ungrounded terminal of the vehicle battery.

    • Securely connect the positive(+) red clamp to the vehicle chassis, engine block or a non-moving metal part of the vehicle which is veri•ed to be grounded. Do not clamp directly to positive battery terminal, carburetor, fuel lines, or sheet metal body parts.

  8. The Reverse Polarity Indicator on the Jump Starter will illuminate RED for wrong connection and GREEN for right connection.

  9. When correct clamp connection is made, turn the Jump Start System Power Switch to ON position.

  10. Allow 2 or 3 minutes of charging time. It is recommended to have a second person to assist holding the unit securely in place during the next steps.

  11. Turn on the vehicle to attempt to start the engine.
    WARNING
Cranking the engine for more than 30 seconds at a time may overheat the starter motor and damage it. If the vehicle does not start within 30 seconds, call an auto electrician.

  12. Standing as far away from the vehicle battery as is practical, disconnect the clamps in reverse sequence to connecting procedure: For negative grounded systems, first disconnect negative {black) then positive (red clamps. For positive grounded systems, first disconnect positive (red) then negative {black)clamps.

USE COMPRESSOR

CAUTION

  • This compressor is designed for occasional use only.(less than 10 minutes).
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Do not leave unattended.

IMPORTANCE

During inflation and after completion regularly check the pressure with a know accurate guage.

  1. Articles inflation
  2. Connect adaptor to connector (Fig.1) then close the thumb latch.
  3. Insert adaptor into article in order to be inflated.
  4. Tyre inflation
  5. Insert the connector to tyre stem then close the thumb latch.
  6. Check our TYPICAL INFLATION PRESSURE CHART. This chart is only a guide.
  7. Turn compressor switch ON.
  8. When desired pressure is reached, turn off the power.
  9. Remove adaptor from inflated article or tire.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

  • Compressor runs but does not inflate
    • Be sure the connector is on the valve stem as far as possible before closing thumb latch.
    • Check article for leaks.
    • Check hose for breaks and leaks at fittings.
  • Compressor runs slowly
    • Overheat from excessive use. Shut it off and leave it cool for 30 minutes.
    • Voltage too low. Check condition of battery.

TYPICAL INFLATION PRESSURE
Avoid over inflating. NEVER EXCEED RECOMMENDED PRESSURE. The item being inflated may burst and cause serious injury.
