Remote Control

Learning function instruction for Five Grey TV buttons

  1. Press the [SET| button for 3 seconds until the red LED light stays lit up. Now, this remote is in Learning Mode. It would quit Learning Mode automatically after 15 seconds if no button clicked.
  2. Place the TV remote with this Box remote head to head, and keep the distance at 1 inch.
  3. Click the Power button on Box remote (designed for TV), red LED light would start to flash; now click the power button on the TV remote. The red LED light would quickly flash 3 times, that means Duo as Deen successfully mapped.
  4. If you want to map other buttons from the TV remote to Box remote, please repeat step 3.
  5. Click JSEll Dutton to quit this Box remote learning mode.

Connecting to the Power Supply

  • Connect the barrel connector of the AC adapter to the SMART TV BOX’s DC IN.
  • Connect the plug of the AC adapter to a power outlet.

Audio and Video Connections

Connecting to your TV via HDMI

  • Connect the HDMI cable to the SMART TV BOX’s HDMI output.
  • Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to an HDMI input on your TV.
  • Go to Settings -Playback-HDMI Output-Auto
    Goto Settings-Playback-SPDIF 0utput-LPCM
    Go to Settings-Playback-HBR Degrade Output-RAW5.1

Connecting to Home Theater Receiver or Sound System(5.1CH)

  • Connect the HDMI cable to the SMART TV BOX’s HDMI output and connect the other end of the HDMI cable to an HDMI input on your TV.
  • Connect the coaxial optical cable to the SMART TV BOX’s digital audio output and connect the other end of the coaxial optical cable to a digital audio input on the home theater receiver or sound system.
  • Go to SettingsPlayBack -HDMI Output-LPCM
    Go to Settings PlayBackSPDIF Output RAW
    Go to Settings PlayBack HBR Degrade Output RAM5.1

Connecting to Home Theater Receiver or Sound System(7.1CH)

  • Connect the HDMI cable to the SMART TV BOX’s HDMI output and connect the other end of the HDMI cable to an HDMI input on the home theater receiver or sound system.
  • Connect the second HDMI cable to the HDMI output on the home theater receiver or sound system and connect the other end of the second HDMI cable to an HDMI input on your TV.
  • Go to Settings-Playback-HDMI Output-RAW
    Go to Settings-Playback-SPDIF Output-RAW
    Go to Settings-Playback–HBR Degrade Output–RAW7.1

Network Connections

Wired

  • Connect the network cable to the SMART TV BOX’s LAN port and connect the other end of the network cable to an available port on a LAN switch, router or networked wall plate.
  • Go to Settings Network >Ethernet to adjust wired settings.
  • Please turn off Wi-Fi when using Ethernet.

Wireless

  • Go to Settings NetworkWi-Fi to adjust wireless settings.
  • Please turn off Ethernet when using Wi-Fi.

Getting Started

How to put on or remove apps from the home page?

  • PUT ON: Press the “+” button on the Home page-> Select the apps you want to put-> Press the “OK” key on the remote control-> Press the “Complete” button to finish put on
  • Remove: Press “My Apps” > Select the apps you want to remove from the Home page-> Press “OK key on the remote control-> Press the “Cancel” button to remove

How to set one apps as default start one or Close it?

  • Press “My Apps” -> Select the apps you want to default start-> Press the “Menu” key on the remote control-> Press the “Default Start” button Same way going here to “Close Start” or “Uninstall” one apps
  • Remind: You could go to Google Play or any other third-party stores to download all of your favorite android based applications and install them onto the Himedia box.

Firmware Upgrade

Firmware Upgrade by Recovery Mode(user data will be cleared)

  • Download a new firmware and place the firmware onto the R00T directory of a USB drive.
  • Plug the USB drive into an empty USB HOST on the SMART TV BOX.
  • With the SMART TV BOX turned off, use a paper clip or pen point to press and hold the small pinhole restore button on the SMART TV BOX
  • While pressing the restore button, turn on the SMART TV BOX. Continue to hold the restore button for 5 more seconds, then release it.
  • The SMART TV BOX ill begin upgrading the firmware from the USB drive.
  • Wait for the SMART TV BOX to complete the upgrade. Please be patient as it may take around 5 minutes to complete.
  • When finished, The SMART TV BOX will auto reboot.

Fireware Upgrade from Settings Menu(user data will not be cleared)

  • Download a new firmware and place the firmware onto the R0OT directory of a USB drive.
  • Plug the USB drive into an empty USB HOST on the SMART TV BOX.
  • Go to Settings Upgrade Local upgrade to select/click the letter of the USB drive.
  • The SMART TV BOX will begin upgrading the firmware from the USB drive.
  • Wait for the SMART TV BOX to complete the upgrade. Please be patient as it may take around 5 minutes to complete.
  • When finished, The SMART TV BOX will auto reboot.
