Read the operating instructions and the enclosed brochure „Guarantee and additional notices“ completely. Follow the instructions they contain. This document must be kept in a safe place and if the laser device is passed on, this document must be passed on with it.

Automatic rotation laser with a slope function

  • Horizontally self-leveling by magnetically-dampened pendulum system, vertical alignment via adjustable base.
  • For all horizontal and vertical alignment work.
  • The extra vertical reference beam is suitable for dropping a perpendicular or for aligning partition walls.
  • The wall/floor bracket can be used to level the unit vertically or fasten it to a wall.
  • Slope mode makes it possible to lay out slopes.
  • Precision 2 mm / 10 m, Self-levelling range, 3.5° with tilt function

General safety instructions

  • The device must only be used in accordance with its intended purpose and within the scope of the specifications.
  • Attention: Do not look into the direct or reflected beam.
  • Do not point the laser beam towards persons.
  • If a person‘s eyes are exposed to class 2 laser radiation, they should shut their eyes and immediately move away from the beam.
  • Under no circumstances should optical instruments (magnifying glass, microscope, binoculars) be used to look at the laser beam or reflections.
  • Do not use the laser at eye level (1.40 …1.90 m)
  • Reflective, specular or shiny surfaces must be covered whilst laser devices are in operation.
  • In public areas shield off the laser beam with barriers and partition wherever possible and identify the laser area with warning signs.
  • Tampering with (making changes to) the laser device is not permitted.
  • This device is not a toy – keep out of the reach of children.

During transport and in vertical operation, make sure that the transport securing device (G) is set to „lock“ failure to do so may result in damage to the device.

Special product features

  • Automatic alignment of the device with a magnetically dampened pendulum system. The device is brought into the initial position and aligns itself autonomously.
  • Transport LOCK: The device is protected with a pendulum lock during transport.
  • Space grids: These show the laser planes and functions.
  • auto: Automatic alignment / man: Manual alignmentLaserliner-0460300-Aqua-Pro-FIG-3

Power supply

The device can be operated with standard alkali batteries (6 x type AA). Insert the batteries as shown by the installation symbols. Ensure the polarity is correct.

Optional: Charging the batteries

  • Charge the device‘s battery completely prior to use.
  • Open the battery compartment (H), insert the batteries, and connect the plugs to the sockets.
  • The plugs fit in the sockets in one position only (see pictures on right). Reclose the battery compartment.
  • Connect the battery charger/mains unit to a mains source and plug it into the socket (M). Please only use the charger/mains unit supplied with the device. If a different one is used, thewarranty will become void.
  • If the LED (Q) blinks constantly, either the batteries must be exchanged or recharged.

Horizontal use of AquaPro

  • Set up the unit on a surface that is as level as possible or fasten it to a tripod.
  • Turn the transport lock (G) in the arrow‘s „Unlock“ direction to its limit.
  • This releases the locking mechanism that protects the pendulum during transport.
  • Press the On/Off button (A).
  • Within its range of +/- 3.5°, the unit will level itself automatically and the prism head will begin to turn.
  • The speed of rotation can be changed with the selector button (B), H = 600 RPM, M = 400 RPM, L = 200 RPM.

If the unit is currently outside of its automatic leveling range (> 3.5°), a warning signal will sound and the prism head will not rotate. The unit must then be placed on a surface that is closer to level. When in vertical use, the unit does not level itself automatically.

Vertical use of AquaPro

  • Turn the transport lock (G) in the arrow‘s „Lock“ direction to its limit.
  • Hook the vertical/wall bracket into its receptacle (O). To do this, the locking lever (L) must be in its lower position and the bracket must latch audibly.
  • To release the bracket, press the locking lever (L) down.
  • Align the unit with the adjustment foot (J) as indicated by the vertical spirit level (F).
  • Press the On/Off button (A). The prism head will begin to rotate.
  • The speed of rotation can be changed with the selector button (B), H = 600 RPM, M = 400 RPM, L = 200 RPM.

Always activate the Out-Off-Level function for horizontal leveling. This is active when the unit is switched on and the transport lock is turned to its „Unlock” position. If the unit is currently outside of its automatic leveling range (> 3.5°), a warning signal will sound and the prism head will not rotate. The unit must then be placed on a surface which is closer to level.

Slope mode

To lay out slopes, the Out-Off-Level function must remain shut off.

  • Turn the transport lock (G) in the arrow‘s „Lock” direction to its limit. Now the tilt function is inactive and the unit cannot alignm itself automatically.

  • Press the On/Off button (A). The prism head will begin to rotate.

  • The speed of rotation can be changed with the selector button (B), H = 600 RPM, M = 400 RPM, L = 200 RPM.

  • Adjust the unit to the desired angle. Slope angle can be set precisely and quickly with the aid of the optional angle plate, Art. No.: 080.75. Its use is simplified in combination with a crank tripod, e.g. Art. No.: 080.30.

  • Horizontal leveling cannot be accomplished in slope mode because the unit cannot automatically level itself. Refer also to „Horizontal use of AquaPro“ about this.

  • Regularly check the adjustment before use, after transport and after extended periods of storage. Always make sure to control all axes.

Preparing the calibration check

It is possible for you to check the calibration of the laser. To do this, position the device midway between 2 walls, which must be at least 5 meters apart. The best calibration results are achieved if the device is mounted on a tripod. Switch on the device and determine the marking points using the SensoLite.

Use the precision range on the SensoLite.

  1. Mark point A1 on the wall.
  2. Turn the device through 180° and mark point A2. You now have a horizontal reference between points A1 and A2.Laserliner-0460300-Aqua-Pro-FIG-11

Performing the calibration check

  1. Position the device as near as possible to the wall at the height of point A1. Now adjust the device in the X axis.
  2. Turn the device through 180° and mark point A3. The difference between points A2 and A3 is the tolerance for the X axis.
  3. To check the Y and Z axis, repeat steps 3 and 4.Laserliner-0460300-Aqua-Pro-FIG-12

If points A2 and A3 are more than 2 mm / 10 m apart on either the X, Y or Z axis, the device is in need of adjustment. Contact your authorized dealer or else the UMAREX-LASER LINER Service Department.
