OPERATION
Charging
- Before using for the first time, connect the charging station to a wall socket and insert the radio into it..
- During charging, the LED indicator will flash red.
- When the battery is fully charged, the indicator turns green..
Transmit / Receive
- Turn on the device with turn on knob.
- Chose channel with channel switch.
- To start transmitting, press and hold the PTT button (the LED indicator will be red).
- To receive a signal, turn on the unit and set the appropriate channel with the channel switch.
Additional functions
- Monitor – this function allows you to check activity on a chosen channel, regardless of the sub-channels. To enable this function, press and hold MONI button (You will hear a noise from the device speaker).
- VOX -In this mode, the radio automatically receives and transmits a signal without pressing the PTT button. Start talking and the device will automatically go into transmit mode. To turn on/off this function:
- turn off the device,
- switch the channel to one from the range 1-5,
- press the PTT and MONI buttons simultaneously and turn on the device.
- LED indicator will be red when the device detects a voice.
- Voice prompt – the function causes that when changing the channel, its number is read aloud. To turn on this function:
- turn off the device,
- switch the channel to 10,
- press the PTT and MONI buttons simultaneously and turn on the device.
- Changing the language of the voice prompts – to switch the language of the voice prompts between Chinese and English:
- turn off the device,
- Switch the channel to 15,
- press the PTT and MONI buttons simultaneously and turn on the device.
- Continuous scanning – the function enables continuous scanning of all 16 channels. After detecting activity on one of them, it stays on that channel as long as it is active. In case of inactivity, it goes on to further scanning. To turn on/off this function::
- turn off the device,
- switch the channel to 16,
- press the PTT and MONI buttons simultaneously and turn on the device. \
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Clean this device with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use any chemical agents to clean this device.
