The canopy is not waterproof and is not intended to be used when raining. Water will sit easily on the canopy fabric, and the weight of the water will severely damage metal parts of the frame. Folding Gazebo Instructions

Before starting, find a level workspace with sufficient room to open this 10-foot by 10-foot gazebo.
NOTICE: Please read all instructions to avoid damaging parts to the gazebo frame. Do not use excessive force when opening the gazebo. It is recommended to have four people to open this gazebo each time it is to be used. Gazebo-Outdoor-2-Tier-Folding-Pop-Up-fig-3

Step 1:
For your convenience, the canopy comes preinstalled over the gazebo frame. Make sure all fasteners at the tops of each telescopic leg is secured to the fasteners found on the inside corners of the canopy, and that the fastening straps are secured around the crossbeams. Step 2:
With one person at each corner, each holding a collapsed telescopic leg, gently pull the legs/corners out, while each person gradually walks backward. Each person should try to open their corner at a similar pace to those who are helping. If anyone meets resistance while opening the frame, do not continue to pull it open further (this could damage individual parts). When resistance is met, each person should stop pulling, and begin stepping inward to close their corner some. Once everyone has taken a step or two inward to close the gazebo some, continue trying to open the gazebo again.
With each leg/corner pulled out, lift up on sliding leg hinges (see pg. 9 for part descriptions) on each telescopic leg until they are pulled over the above pushpins, and are locked in place. With each sliding leg hinge locked in place, this will fully extend the crossbeams, and straighten out the ribs underneath the canopy, and the canopy itself.Gazebo-Outdoor-2-Tier-Folding-

Step 3:
With each person holding a collapsed telescopic leg in hand, lift the gazebo off the ground, and pull the lower half of each leg out of the upper half, until the lower half can’t go any further, and is locked in place. Place the hooks at the four ends of the canopy fabric intended to cover the legs into the designated eyelets at the bottom of each leg. Insert Stakes (B) through designated eyelets on foot paddles of telescopic legs, see Fig. 1. Use a hammer (not included) to gentle tap the Stakes (B) in place, securing the frame to the ground. Tie one end of each Rope (C) to loops found at the corners of the canopy. Tie the opposite ends of Rope (C) to the remaining Stakes (B). Pull these Stakes (B) with Ropes (C) so that the rope is taut, and gently hammer these stakes in the ground, see Fig. 2.
