SAFETY RULES

Your swimming pool contains a large amount of water and is deep enough to pose a significant danger to life and health if the following safety rules are not strictly observed. Those who use the pool for the first time are at greatest risk of injury. Make sure everyone knows the safety rules before entering the pool.

1. No jumping into the pool or diving head-first
The top rail of the wall of your pool is not a footbridge and must not be used for jumping or diving head-first into the pool. Do not allow jumping or diving head-first into the pool from the pool ladder or from the top rail of the pool wall. Jumping or diving head-first into the swimming pool can result in serious                                    injury or death by drowning.

2. Never use the pool on your own
Never allow the pool to be used if not attended by at least one person outside of the pool. There must always be someone available to help in case of danger.

3. Never leave children unattended
Never leave a child alone or unattended in or near the pool – not even for a second.

4. No “romping”
Do not allow “frolicking” in or around your pool. The surfaces can be slippery and be dangerous when wet. Any movement on the top rail of the pool is not allowed.

5. Light up the pool at night
If the pool is used after dark, adequate lighting must be provided. The lighting of the pool area must be sufficient so that the depth of the pool can be correctly assessed and all elements in and around the pool can be seen clearly. Consult the lighting with an expert.

6. Restrict the access to the pool
Do not leave chairs or other furniture next to the pool that a child could use to enter the pool. The pool ladder must be removed whenever the pool is left unattended. A fence around the pool and a lockable gate are highly recommended. Some legislation may require them.

7. No alcohol or drugs
Alcohol or drug use is incompatible with pool activities. Persons who drank alcohol or used any drug should not be allowed into the pool and should be carefully observed when in the adjacent area.

8. Keep your pool clean and sanitary
The water in the pool must be regularly filtered and chemically treated to be made safe. Use a suitable filter unit to remove dispersed particles and suitable pool chemicals according to their instructions to kill harmful bacteria and prevent the formation of algae. Remember that unhealthy water is a serious                                          health risk.

Warning: Do not modify the pool or make any interventions in the construction of the assembled and filled pool. This can result in the pool collapsing or even in serious injury.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

WARNING: Using the pool requires compliance with the safety rules described in this manual. In order to prevent drowning or other serious injuries, it is worthwhile to prevent unexpected access of children under the age of 5 to the pool, and to maintain constant supervision during their use of the pool.

INTRODUCTION

1. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS
Before you begin, read all sections of this manual to the end, including the “Pool Assembly Manual”. The instructions explain how to install and use your pool. Simply follow the step-by-step instructions.
Be sure to read the Safety Rules and ensure that everyone who uses your pool reads and understands them.

2. SPARE PARTS AND SERVICE
Contact your dealer if you need advice, service or to obtain a spare part. Use original spare parts for maintenance and repairs.

POOL WATER CARE

The water in the pool is polluted not only by visible impurities (dust, leaves, sand, branches…), but also by microorganisms (bacteria, algae, fungi and viruses). Even after bathing, each user of the pool will bring into the pool an incredible amount of dirt, sweat, hair, oil from the skin and residues of cosmetic and sunscreen products. An un showered and unbathed person will bring an incredible 600 million to 3.5 billion bacteria, germs and viruses into the water. These form an ideal breeding ground
for other bacteria, algae, fungi and viruses. Therefore, the water must be treated regularly to ensure permanent bacteriological and health safety.

RECOMMENDED POOL WATER CHEMISTRY LEVEL

Water hardness:                            not more than 18°N
pH:                                              in the range of 6.8 – 7.2
Alkalinity:                                    in the range of 80 –  120 mg/l
Free chlorine:                            in the range of 0.3 – 0.6 mg/l
Active oxygen
:                          in the range of 4 – 20 mg/l

  • Oxygen and chlorine products must never be used at the same time, as they react with each other and thus cancel out their disinfecting effects.

Important note: Failure to comply with the recommended chemistry levels of pool water has a negative effect on the lifetime period of individual parts of the pool.

Note: The illustrations in this manual may not exactly match your pool. The
illustrations serve primarily for better understanding of the text. The manufacturer reserves the right to make changes without prior notice.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

POOL SITE SELECTION AND GROUND PREPARATION

POOL SITE SELECTION

1. PREPARE THE NECESSARY EQUIPMENT

Before starting the assembly of the pool, prepare the necessary tools and equipment. You will need:

  • spade, pickaxe, rake, shovel and wheelbarrow for moving soil and sand;
  • a wooden prism about 5 x 5cm in length larger than half the diameter of the pool, a wooden peg, a bag of flour or fine sand, etc., a ball of string, a knife, a spirit level, a tape measure, a hammer and nails for preparing a flat surface;
  • sifted dredged sand to level the surface and create an earth mound;
  • cross-point and flat-head screwdriver, combination pliers, textile adhesive tape (for carpets), knife, clothes pegs for assembling the pool.

We recommend assembling the pool ladder before installing the pool. It will be useful during the assembly of the pool, when it is necessary to enter and exit the pool
across the assembled wall. Instructions for assembling the ladder can be found in
the pool ladder package.

2. CHOOSE A SUITABLE DAY FOR THE ASSEMBLY OF YOUR SWIMMING POOL
Wait with the assembly of the swimming pool for a sunny, windless day. Do not try
to set up your pool on a windy day. Get help from at least one adult.
Approximate installation time, excluding landscaping, is about 3-4 hours.

3. TERRAIN

Take special care when choosing the right place for your pool:

  • Choose an area with the appropriate dimensions, as flat and horizontal as possible.
  • Choose an all-day-long sunny place with dry and firm soil – do not build the pool on asphalt, gravel, wood, on a heaping up, waterlogged area, on a peat bog or above underground spaces, such as water tanks, septic tanks, canals, etc.
  • Make sure that no plants are growing in this area that could grow through the liner of your pool. If this is the case, then we recommend treating the site with a total herbicide (according to the instructions) well in advance of the landscaping, or laying a black garden foil under the body of the pool during its assembly.
  • Sloping surfaces will need to be adjusted to be horizontal by digging away higher spots, not building up the lower side by padding it with earth.
  • The pool is designed so that it can be partially sunken into the ground when the conditions for it are met. Conditions for sunken pool and professional advice are provided by the seller of this pool..

4. CONDITIONS TO AVOID

Do not set up the pool near or in any of the following places:

  • Close to areas and objects that are accessible to children or animals and that can make it easier for them to enter the pool. Otherwise, it is necessary to secure the area around the pool before children and animals enter the pool.
  • On grass, pebbles and roots. The grass under the pool liner rots and pebbles and roots could damage the pool liner.
  • Near trees and taller shrubs. Leaves and other debris fall directly into the pool and increase its pollution.
  • Under overhead power lines and clothes lines.
  • In places with poor natural drainage. The area around the pool may be flooded with water.
  • In areas recently treated with petroleum pesticides, chemicals or fertilizers. In this case, it is necessary to use a pool underlay made of geotextile

NO

5. PLAN AHEAD

  • Be aware that the surrounding vegetation (trees, shrubs) will grow and can shade the pool.
  • Will you use pool accessories or other equipment that requires electricity? Place your pool so that this equipment can be installed in accordance with safety regulations (see the instructions for this equipment). If necessary, entrust the installation of the electrical socket to a suitably qualified person.

YES

GROUND PREPARATION

Important note: The area under the pool must meet the following essential conditions:
It must be horizontal,

i.e. within a maximum tolerance of 2.5cm for the transverse dimension of the pool.
It must be provided with a thin layer of sifted sand,
i.e. that the sand evens out minor surface irregularities created after the use of work tools (pickaxes, hoes, …) and covers the entire area of the pool with a layer of no more than 2cm.
It must be firm,
i.e. so strong that a person weighing at least 80kg does not leave visible marks on the surface.

1. MARK THE AREA

a. Hammer a peg into the ground in the intended center of the pool (see Figure 2-1).

b. Tie one end of the string on the peg and tie the other end to a can of sand or lime, flour,
etc., by which you mark a circle on the ground. The radius of the foundation will be 15cm larger than the radius of the pool itself (see Fig. 2-2). The length of the string is given in the table for the respective pool diameter.

4,57 m

| 250 cm|

250 cm

4,60 m

| 250 cm|

250 cm

2. REMOVE PIECES OF TURF, MAKE AN EXCAVATION

a. Carefully remove all grass, plants and sod from the marked area to a depth of 10-15cm

(see Fig. 2-3).

b. Remove all sticks, pebbles and roots from the marked area.

c. If you are going to sink the pool in the ground, it is necessary to carry out excavation work
to a depth according to special installation preparations.

3. ADJUST THE MARKED AREA TO BE FLAT, HORIZONTAL AND FIRM

Remember: Your pool must be horizontal. Take the time to make the surface perfectly horizontal. The deviation from the horizontal must not exceed 25mm.

a. Replace the peg with a stake with a flat upper end with a cross section of approx. 25x25mm
and a length of approx. 15cm. Hammer it into the ground so that its upper surface is level
with the ground. (see Fig. 2-4)

b. Prepare a prism with a cross section of 5x10cm and length according to the size of the pool (see table above). Use a nail to hammer one end of the prism to the top of the stake. Use a nail long enough to hold the end of the prism on the stake as you rotate the prism in a circle (see Figure 2-5).

c. Place a spirit level on the prism and move the prism in a circle around the end pressed against the stake to locate the elevated areas and depressions (see Figure 2-6).

d. Remove all elevated areas with a shovel, hoe or rake. Remember, your pool must be horizontal to a tolerance of 25mm across the pool (see Figure 2-8).

e. Do not fill low spots (see Figure 2-7). Backfilling does not create a safe base for your pool. Small depressions can be filled, but the backfill must be firmly compacted with a rammer.

f. To ensure the future stability of the pool, it is now necessary to compact the surface with a rammer. An un compacted surface can fall under the pressure of a filled pool, causing the pool to collapse. Fill and compact the resulting depressions and irregularities. Tip: Walk across the site. No traces are visible on a properly compacted surface. Remember: The outer 30cm of the circle must be in perfect plane (see Fig. 2-9). The lower edge of the pool wall must be horizontal and there must be no depressions below it. Take the time to make sure that this surface is perfectly flat and horizontal.

SWIMMING POOL ASSEMBLY

1. ASSEMBLING BOTTOM FRAME OF THE POOL

a. Connect the bottom rails one by one [3] using the connecting pins [2] and place them around
the perimeter of your pool (see Fig. 3-1).

Note: Supplied connecting pins [2] come in two versions – pins without longitudinal cut are designed for the bottom frame, pins with a longitudinal cut (flexible) for the top frame

b. Connect the rails as far as they will go. Leave the last rail unclosed, as the length of the rail
will need to be adjusted after the wall has been put up.

c. Make sure that the bottom frame really forms a circle by measuring the distance from the center peg.

SPREAD FINE SAND

a. Spread a maximum of 2 cm of fine sand, preferably stucco, over the entire surface of the pool foundation (except for the outer 30 cm circle) to make it easier to level out small irregularities of the terrain (see Fig. 3-2). Do not place sand near the bottom rails, it could get into the groove of the rail and then prevent the wall from being placed. Leave a strip about 15 cm wide around the bottom rails without sand. Level the surface with the rake so that the layer is flat and smooth.
Warning: A thicker layer of sand may adversely affect the stability of the pool in the future.

b. Depending on the size of the pool, bring about 0.2 – 0.3 m3 of sifted dredged sand into the pool area. You will need this to create an earth mound (see chapter Create the earth mound).

Note: When handling sand, take care not to damage the bottom frame or cover it with sand.

SWIMMING POOL WALL ASSEMBLY

1. BUILD THE SWIMMING POOL WALL

a. Wait for a calm sunny day. Do not try to put up the pool wall on a windy day. Get help from at least one adult.

b. Unpack the coiled pool wall and place it in the pool area on a piece of plywood (see Figure 3-3). Pre-punched holes for the pool skimmer must be on top of the wall.

Important note: Before unrolling the wall, make sure in which direction the wall is wound. Depending on this, unfold the wall either to the right or to the left.

c. Start unrolling the wall [1] and at the same time insert its bottom edge into the bottom frame. The openings for the pool skimmer and the return nozzle must be close to the place where the filter device will be located.

d. Continue around the entire foundation until the entire wall is unfolded and set into the bottom frame..
2. CONNECT THE ENDS OF THE SWIMMING POOL WALL

a. Align the holes at the two ends of the pool wall.
Tip: Insert a screwdriver through the two opposite holes to make it easier to align the ends of
the wall.

b. To get the holes against each other, make the circle that the pool wall forms bigger or smaller by pushing the bottom frame out of or into the center of the circle with your feet (see Fig. 3-5).

c. Check that the bottom frame is really a circle by measuring the distance from the center stake.

d. Now measure the last free bottom rail and shorten it to the required length (see detail in Fig. 3-5). Close the lower frame by connecting the shortened bottom rail to the rest with connecting pins.

e. Join the ends of the pool wall (see Fig. 3-6). Insert a bolt [A] from inside the pool into each
pair of holes aligned and screw on a nut [B]. The bolt heads are inside the pool and all nuts are outside the pool.

f. First tighten the joints by hand. Finally, when all the joints are in place, tighten them firmly
with tools

g. Cover the overlap of the wall ends and the EN bolt heads on the inside of the pool wall with
adhesive tape (see Fig. 3-7), preferably textile (not included in the package).

h. Cover the outer part of the joint with a rail. [D]. Note: After installing the wall and measuring
the roundness of the pool, be sure to remove the center stake..

3. ZMAKE SURE THE SWIMMING POOL WALL LAYS HORIZONTAL AND CIRCULAR

a. Use a long straight prism or profile to check that the opposite top edges of the pool wall are in one plane (see Figure 3-8). Check the wall in several different directions. The wall must stand on a horizontal plane. If the deviation from the horizontal is more than 25 mm in the length of the pool diameter (see Fig. 3-9), then set the wall aside and realign the pool surface to the horizontal plane.

b. Use the string to check that the pool wall is really round.
Warning: A pool that is not horizontal is dangerous and can collapse.

4. CREATE THE EARTH MOUND

a. Using sifted dredged sand, create a rounded earth mound about 20 cm wide and 20 cm high at the bottom of the wall around the entire perimeter inside the pool (see Figure 3-10). Shape the rounding and tamp its shape down firmly
b. Now level the bottom surface with the rakes.

c. Place a geotextile underlay on the bottom of the pool and on the earth mound to protect the pool liner against mechanical damage. Instruction manual is given in the appendix.
Note: If there is a risk of grass growing into the pool, we recommend placing a black garden foil under the pool underlay, which reduces this risk.
Note: Geotextile pool underlay is not part of the pool package.
Tip: We recommend using assembled pool ladder to climb and enter the pool.

LINER AND TOP RAIL INSTALLATION

Note: If you will be using a filter device together with the pool, it will be necessary to perform part of the pool skimmer installation before applying the liner. Read and follow the relevant instructions for installing the skimmer. Instructions can be found in the skimmer package.

1. PLACE THE LINER IN ITS PLACE

a. Open the carton containing the liner. Do not use anything sharp to open the box.

b. Unwrap and unfold the liner and spread it out in the sun to warm it. Inspect the entire surface of the liner and all seams for holes.

c. Spread the liner [7] in the pool (see Fig. 3-11) so that the face of the seam (pattern) is laying upwards. The arched seam should be in the middle of the round earth mound. The other seams will form straight lines across the bottom of the pool.

d. Smooth out any wrinkles on the liner on the bottom of the pool.

2. ATTACH THE LINER TO THE WALL

a. Pull the liner [7] over the edge of the wall [1] and temporarily secure it in place with several plastic
clamping rails [6] or clothes pegs. Leave the liner hanging loose for now. Do not stretch the liner too much.

b. Start filling the pool with water. As the pool is being filled, smooth out any wrinkles and smooth the liner from the center of the pool in circles toward the wall. Never press on the liner with too much force or pull on it. Proceed quickly, because even a few centimeters of water can press the liner to the ground so that it will not be possible to move it without damage. At the same time, always make sure that the arc seam remains approximately in the middle of the earth mound (see Fig. 3-11).

c. After smoothing the bottom, continue to fill the pool and gradually smooth the liner on the wall. Be careful not to stretch the liner to create an air gap.

d. After smoothing, secure the edge of the liner with the clamping rail [6]. Follow these steps along the entire perimeter of the pool.

e. After all wrinkles on the liner have been smoothed out, cut off the protruding part of the last plastic clamping rail [6] so that its end fits snugly against the next rail (see Fig. 3-12).

f. Now push the plastic rail [4] onto the clamping rail [6]. Use a pair of flexible connecting pins [2] to connect another plastic rail [4] and proceed along the entire perimeter of the pool. (see Fig. 3-12)
Note: Supplied connecting pins [2] are in two versions – pins without longitudinal cut are designed for the bottom frame, pins with a longitudinal cut (flexible) for the top frame.

g. Shorten the last plastic rail to the required length and connect it to the rest of the top frame using a pair of connecting pins (see Fig. 3-12).

Note: Slight wrinkling of the liner during its installation is natural. It is caused by the play of the vinyl material, which protects the liner when it shrinks.

Note: The liner is not a structural element of the pool. Its main function is to prevent water from flowing out of the pool. The water pressure is maintained by the walls and structural elements of the pool. The liner must fit properly to the ground, the earth mound and the wall of the pool, it must never carry the weight of water because it could damage it.

3. STICK A WARNING STICKER ON THE POOL

Stick a warning sticker near where you will enter or exit the pool. Be aware that the pool is not deep enough to jump safely into; there is a risk of injury.

FILLING THE POOL WITH WATER

1. FINISH FILLING THE POOL

a. Fill the pool with water up to a height of 5 cm below the lowest hole in the pool wall. Then follow the installation instructions for your pool skimmer.

Important note: The pool may bulge or shift slightly when filled with water. That is normal.

b. Connect the filter device to the mounted skimmer according to the relevant instructions.

c. Top up the water to the level of the centre of the skimmer inlet flange. This makes your pool ready to use.

Warning: Before anyone uses your pool, they must read and follow the Safety rules.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR POOL UNDERLAY USE

Note: The pool underlay is not part of the pool package.
The material for pool underlays is a non-woven fabric, which is made of 100% polypropylene or polyester staple. It is also used to protect pool liners and their separation from the ground.
Pool underlay properties
The fibres from which the underlay is made are subject to light aging (so- called photo degradation) after a certain time. Therefore, it is inappropriate to store the pool underlay freely. It must be stored in a carton or foil that is stabilized against UV radiation.
The nonwoven fabric is resistant to technical gasoline, perchlorine, oil and other chemicals of a similar nature, to fungi and microorganisms.
It is not harmful to health. Laying the underlay for a pool with earth mound Install the pool underlay once you have assembled the pool wall and made the inner earth mound out of sifted dredged sand. Unroll the underlay at the bottom inside the pool, Centre it and smooth out any folds. Cut the underlay a few inches above the earth mound. Make sure that no pebbles or other sharp objects get on the top of the underlay.
