DOMO DO9031WK Water Kettle
WARRANTY
this appliance has a two year warranty period. During this period the manufacturer is responsible for any failures that are the direct result of construction failure. when these failures occur the appliance will be repaired or replaced if necessary. the warranty will not be valid when the damage to the appliance is caused by wrong use, not following the instructions or repairs executed by a third party. the warranty will only be valid if the warranty application has been completed by the dealer at the time of purchase. all parts, which are subject to wear, are excluded from the warranty.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- This appliance may be used by children from the age of 8 and up, and also by persons with a physical or sensorly limitation, as well as mentally limited persons or persons with a lack of experience and knowledge. but only on the condition that these persons have received the necessary instructions on how to use this appliance in a safe way and know the dangers that can occur by using this appliance. children cannot be allowed to play with the appliance.
- Maintenance and cleaning of the appliance may not be done by children, unless they are older than 8 years old and are under supervision.
- keep the appliance out of reach of children younger than 8 years old. this appliance is suitable to be used in a household environment and in similar surroundings such as:
- Kitchen for personnel of shops, offices or other similar professional surroundings
- Farms
- hotel or motel rooms and other surroundings with a residential character
- Guest rooms or similar attention: this appliance cannot be used with an external timer or a separate remote control.
Rread All instructions before using the appLiance.
- Make sure that the voltage indicated on the appliance (bottom of the water kettle and the base) matches the voltage of the power outlet before connecting your water kettle. if the voltages do not match, contact your supplier and do not use the water kettle.
- the base should not be used for purposes for which it is not intended.
- Never use the appliance without water in it, since this could damage the heating elements.
- if by accident you should use the kettle without water in it, the boil dry protection will automatically switch off the appliance. if this happens, let the kettle cool down completely before filling the kettle with water and boiling it.
- Pull the plug out of the socket when the appliance is not being used.
- Do not let the cord hang over a table or counter top edge or do not let the cord touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place the water kettle near a hot gas or electric stove or in a hot oven.
- Make sure that the water kettle is standing on a steady and flat surface, where children can not reach the appliance. this can prevent the kettle from tipping over, which can prevent accidents.
- Never immerse the cord, plug or kettle in water or any other liquids to prevent fire, electrical shock and injuries.
- always pour boiling water slowly and carefully, without tipping the kettle too fast.
- when the water kettle is hot, always be careful when opening the lid.
- strong supervision is necessary when an appliance is used near or by children.
- Do not touch any hot surfaces. always use the handle or buttons.
- be extra careful when moving an appliance that contains hot water.
- this appliance is not a toy. Do not let children play with it.
- the use of accessories that are not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electrical shock or injuries.
- avoid contact with the hot steam that escapes from the boiling water. Do not open the lid of the kettle too quickly.
- Pull out the plug and let the appliance cool down before cleaning the appliance or removing or putting back parts.
- always make sure that the lid is properly closed and do not open the lid when the water is boiling. You can burn yourself when you open the lid during the boiling process.
- this appliance is equipped with a grounded plug. Make sure that your socket at home is well grounded.
- Do not use the appliance for any other purpose than for which it is intended.
- the water kettle may only be used with the included base.
- Make sure that you do not exceed the maximum level of water. boiling water could escape from the spout of the water kettle.
- this water kettle is only suited for household use. only use the appliance indoors.
PARTS
BEFORE THE FIRST USE
boil a full water kettle twice and pour away the water before actually using
the water kettle for the first time.
USING THE WATER kETTLE

remove the water kettle from its base and open the lid by pressing the top button.

Fill the water kettle with the desired amount of water. Make sure that the water level is always higher than the minimum indication (0,5l) and lower than the maximum indication (1l).
- if you have not added enough water, the water kettle will switch off before the water boils.
- if you have added too much water, the boiling water could escape through the spout. That is why you should never exceed the maximum indication when filling the kettle. Also, always make sure that the lid is properly closed before plugging in the watter kettle.

Place the water kettle on its base.

Plug in the appliance.

Press the on/off switch at the bottom of the handle. the indicator will light up and the water kettle will start the boiling process.

the water kettle will automatically switch off when the water boils. You can always stop the boiling process yourself at any moment by pushing the on/off switch upward.
→ Make sure that the on/off switch is clear of obstructions and that the lid is firmly closed. The water kettle will not switch off automatically if the switch is hindered or if the lid is still open. -
remove the kettle from the base and pour out the water.
→ Be careful when pouring the water since it is possible to burn yourself on the boiling water or the hot steam. Do not open the lid when the water in the water kettle is hot. -
the water kettle will not start boiling again until the switch is pressed down
again. let the appliance cool down for 15 to 20 seconds before reopening the water kettle to boil water.- the water kettle can remain on its base when the appliance is not being used.
- Make sure that the water kettle does not receive any power when it is not being used, so always unplug the appliance when not in use.
- if by accident you would use the kettle without water in it, the boil dry protection will automatically switch off the appliance. if this happens, let the water kettle cool down completely before filling the kettle with cold water to start the boiling process.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always unplug the appliance before cleaning it.
Never immerse the water kettle or the cord in water. also make sure that they
do not come into contact with moisture.
Descaling
Tap water may cause scale on the inside of the water kettle. use a liquid
descaler or a non-toxic cleaning product to remove this build-up. an alternate
solution could be the following:
- Fill the water kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar and add water until the kettle is full (max. level). Let this soak overnight. However, do not boil this liquid!
- afterwards, pour away the solution. stains that remain in the spout can be removed by rubbing it with a damp cloth.
- Fill the kettle with clean water, boil and pour away the water.
- repeat once more and the water kettle is again ready for use.
Cleaning the housing
Rub the outside of the kettle clean with a soft, damp cloth or with a mild
detergent.
Never use a toxic cleaning product.
caution : Do not use any chemical, metal, wooden or abrasive cleaning
products to clean the outside of the water kettle.
Cleaning the filter
Remind yourself to regularly clean the filter in the spout with a soft, damp
cloth.
