AMPROBE TH-1 Relative Humidity / Temperature Probe Style Meter

Limited Warranty and Limitation of Liability

Your Amprobe product will be free from defects in material and workmanship for 1 year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover fuses, disposable batteries or damage from accident, neglect, misuse, alteration, contamination, or abnormal conditions of operation or handling. Amprobe’s warranty obligation is limited, at Amprobe’s option, to refund of the purchase price, free of charge repair, or replacement of a defective product . Resellers are not authorized to extend any other warranty on Amprobe’s behalf. To obtain service during the warranty period, return the product with proof of purchase to an authorized Amprobe Test Tools Service Center or to an Amprobe dealer or distributor. See Repair Section for details. This warranty is your only remedy . All other warranties – whether express, implied or statutory – including implied warranties of fitness for a particular purpose or merchantability, are hereby excluded. Neither Amprobe nor its parent company or affiliates shall be liable for any special, indirect, incidental or consequential damages or losses, arising from any cause or theory. Since some states or countries do not allow the exclusion or limitation of an implied warranty or of incidental or consequential damages, this limitation of liability may not apply to you.

Repair

All test tools returned for warranty or non-warranty repair or for calibration should be accompanied by the following: your name, company’s name, address, telephone number, and proof of purchase. Additionally, please include a brief description of the problem or the service requested and include the test leads with the meter. Non-warranty repair or replacement charges should be remitted in the form of a check, a money order, credit card with expiration date, or a purchase order made payable to Amprobe® Test Tools.

In-Warranty Repairs and Replacement – All Countries

Please read the warranty statement and check your battery before requesting repair. During the warranty period any defective test tool can be returned to your Amprobe® Test Tools distributor for an exchange for the same or like product. Please check the “Where to Buy” section on www.amprobe.com for a list of distributors near you. Additionally, in the United States and Canada In-Warranty repair and replacement units can also be sent to a Amprobe® Test Tools Service Center (see below for address).

Non-Warranty Repairs and Replacement – US and Canada

INTRODUCTION

Congratulations on your purchase of the TH-1 temperature probe style meter. This meter is equipped with a protective turnable sensor cap, a patented design, to protect the sensor when not in use. A convenient instrument to measure temperature from -20°C to 60°C (4° to 140°F), Relative Humidity up to 99% RH, and the dew point (DP) or wet bulb (WB) for temperature and humidity.

OPERATION

  1. Before you start any measurement, please rotate the cap clockwise or counterclockwise to expose the sensor.
  2. Press ON/OFF yellow pushbutton to turn power ON or OFF. You will see a full display on the screen for one second.(See Fig.1) The meter will start measuring the temperature and humidity and display both readings at the same time. (See Fig.2)
  3. Press HOLD until “HLD” appears on the screen to freeze the reading on the display. Press HOLD again to cancel the HOLD function and continue with the measurement.(See FIG.3)
  4. Press MIN/MAX to display the minimum reading of the actual measurement (Temp & RH). Press MIN/MAX again to display the maximum reading. Press MIN/MAX again to return the real time measurement.(See Fig.4)
  5. Press °C / °F pushbutton to switch between degrees Celsius to degrees Fahrenheit.
  6. Press MODE to toggle between “AIR”, “DP”, and “WB” readings.
  7. Press and hold RESET to clear current MIN and MAX readings from memory
Auto Power Off

The meter will turn itself off after 20-min. To override Auto Power Off function, press ON/OFF & HOLD keys simultaneously. The display will show ”n”. When ”n” appears, release the ON/OFF button. The meter will now be in Non- sleep mode for long time operation purposes. (See Fig.5)

Battery Replacement
  1. Turn off the meter. Use a coin to open the battery cover.
  2. Put the battery (CR2032) with the ”+” faces up.
  3. Replace the cover.

TROUBLESHOOTING

POWER ON BUT NO DISPLAY

  • Make sure you press the ”ON/ OFF” key for more than 100mS.
  • Check the battery conditions and replace if necessary

DISPLAY DISAPPEARS

  • Check for low battery indicator before the display is off. If the low battery indicator appears, replace the battery.
  • Turn on the meter by pressing “ON/OFF+HOLD” keys to disable Auto Power Off.

E02-Out of the lowest limit.
E03-Out of the highest limit.
E04-Check error message of the original data.
E11-Calibration required. The humidity sensor accuracy can not be calibrated by the user due to special procedures required. Please contact a qualified calibration house for service.
