Introduction

To produce juices and cider of berries and fruits. NOTICE:
Do not press before you crush the fruits. Use pressing cloth (may be obtained as an accessory!) for the pressed fruits not to be pushed out of the pressing cage.

Safty Measures

  • Fix the legs to the floor before you start pressing.
  • Do not reach into the press with your hand while the driving wheel is turning.
  • Do not make connecting rod any longer.
  • Important notice: Fix the pressure to the floor to prevent it from sliding or tilting over. .
  • Keep the working area clean. Risk of slipping!

Operation

  1. Line the cage (2) with suitable pressing cloth (8).
  2. Fill the press with crushed fruits and watch out for the fruits to be surrounded with the cloth.
  3. Put the wooden plate (3) on the filled cage.
  4. Put the crossbars (4) on the wooden plate (3), additional crossbars may be obtained as an accessory.
  5. Put the nylon disc (9) on the pressure plate (5), screw the nut (6) on by hand.
  6. Push the driving rod (7) in the nut (6) treble opening.
  7. Screw the nut (6) so that pressing may be started.
  8. If the spindle gets as far as to the pressing cage and the pressure is to be increased, release the screw again and re-fill the fruits or use wooden crossbars (may be obtained as accessories).

Guarantee

The guarantee exclusively applies to material or manufacturing defects. The original proof of purchase with the purchase date must be submitted when lodging a claim in the guarantee period. The guarantee does not include any unauthorised use, e.g. appliance overloading, violent use, damage by a third party or foreign item. The failure to follow the Operating Instructions and assembly instructions and common wear and tear are not covered by the guarantee either.

Behaviour in case of emergency

Provide necessary first aid treatment corresponding to the injury nature and seek qualified medical help as soon as possible.

Protect the injured person from other injuries and calm him/her down.
First aid kit must always be available in the place of your work in case of accident in accordance with DIN 13164. Material taken out of the first aid kit needs to be supplemented right away.

If help is needed, please provide the following details:

  2. Accident nature
  3. Number of injured persons
  4. Injury type

Disposal

The disposal instructions are based on icons placed on the appliance or its package. The description of the meanings can be found in the “Marking” chapter.

Transport packaging disposal
The packaging protects the appliance against damage during transport. The packaging materials are usually selected depending on their environment friendliness and disposal manner and can therefore be recycled.

Returning the packaging into circulation saves raw materials and reduces waste disposal costs.

Parts of the packaging (e.g. foils, Styropor®) can be dangerous to children. Risk of suffocation!

Keep parts of the packaging out of reach of children and dispose them as quickly as possible.

Operating staff requirements
The operator must carefully read the Operating Instructions before using the appliance.

Qualification
No special qualification is necessary for using the appliance apart from detailed instruction by an expert.

Minimum age
The appliance can only be operated by persons over 16 years of age. An exception includes youngsters operating the appliance within their professional education to achieve necessary skills under trainer’s supervision.

Training
Using the appliance requires only appropriate instructions by a professional or reading the Operating Instructions. No special training necessary.

Maintenance table

Having completing the job, wash the parts with hot water.
Store the press in a dry room for the pressing cage wood to dry well.

After a longer period of standstill, grease the bearings and metal surfaces with edible oil.
