SN30 Retro Set Bluetooth Gamepad Instructions

• Press start to turn on the controller
• Press & hold start for 3 seconds to turn off the controller
• Press & hold start for 8 seconds to force turn off the controller

Switch

1. Press & hold V & start to turn on the controller, LEDs will blink four times per cycle

2. Press & hold pair for 2 seconds to enter pairing mode, Blue LEDs will rapidly blink

3. Go to your Switch Home Page to click on Controllers, then click on Change Grip/Order. LEDs will enter its breathing mode when connection is successful

4. Controller will auto reconnect to your Switch with the press of start once it has been paired

•  When connected to your Switch, star button= Switch Screen Shot button
• Home button= Switch HOME button

Android ( D – input )

1. Press & hold B & start to turn on the controller, blue LEDs will blink once per cycle

2. Press & hold pair for 2 seconds to enter pairing mode, Blue LEDs will rapidly blink

3. Go to your Android device’s Bluetooth setting, pair with [8BitDo N30 Pro 2]. LEDs will enter its breathing mode when connection is successful

4. Controller will auto reconnect to your Android device with the press of start once it has been paired

• USB connection: connect the controller to your Android device via USB cable after step 1

Windows (X – input)

1. Press & hold X & start to turn on the controller, LEDs will blink twice per cycle

2. Press & hold pair for 2 seconds to enter pairing mod a, Blue LEDs will rapidly blink

3. Go to your Windows device’s Bluetooth setting, pair with [8BitDo N30 ]. LEDs will enter its breathing mode when connection is successful

4. Controller will auto reconnect to your Windows with the press of start once it has been paired

• USB connection: connect the controller to your Windows device via USB cable after step 1

MacOS

1. Press & hold A & start to turn on the controller, LEDs will blink three times per cycle

2. Press & hold pair for 2 seconds to enter pairing mode, Blue LEDs will rapidly blink

3. Go to your macOS device’s Bluetooth setting, pair with [Wireless Controller]. LEDs will enter its breathing mode when connection is successful

4. Controller will auto reconnect to your macOS device with the press of start once it has been paired

• USB connection: connect the controller to your macOS device via USB cable after step 1

Turbo function

1. Hold the button you would like to set turbo functionality to and then press the star button to activate turbo functionality.

2. To deactivate turbo function, hold the button with turbo functionality activated and press the star button to deactivate turbo functionality

• Analog sticks are not included
• This does not apply to Switch

Battery

• Built-in 480 mAh Li-on with18 hours of playtime
• Rechargable via USB cable with1 – 2 hour charging time

Power Saving

• 1 minute with no Bluetooth connection, will power off
• 15 minutes with Bluetooth connection but no use, will power off
• Controller stays on and connected on wired USB connection

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

My SN30 Retro Set does not connect to my SNES anymore. What should I do?

Please try:
A. If the battery level on the controller
B. If reconnecting works
C. If the controller and the receiver are on their latest firmware
D. If the controller port on your SNES works properly still
E. If the receiver works when connected to your PC via a USB cable
F. If the controller can connect to other devices (Android, Switch, etc) via its Bluetooth connection
G. Contact our customer support team at support@8bitdo.com if the receiver or the controller is confirmed as defective.

What is the included USB cable for? Can I use the controller as a wired controller with it?

The USB cable is for firmware update and power charging.
You can connect the controller to Windows 10, iMac, Android and Raspberry Pi and use it as a wired controller.
*This does not apply to Switch.

How many controller can this receiver connect to at a time?

One controller at a time. If you wish to use 2 controllers at a time, you would need to use 2 receivers.

Can I use this controller with Switch? Does it also auto reconnect to Switch too?

Yes, you can. SN30 controller is a Bluetooth controller which works with Switch as well as Windows 10, macOS, Android and Raspberry Pi.
It does auto reconnect to all the systems mentioned above with the press of START once they have been successfully paired.

Is this a Bluetooth set or a 2.4g set?

SN30 Retro Set is a Bluetooth set. It has a SN30 Bluetooth controller and a Bluetooth retro receiver for SNES.

Can the included receiver work with other Bluetooth controllers?

Yes, it can. It can also work with Xbox One S/X Bluetooth, PS4 controller, PS3 controller, Switch Pro, JoyCons (including NES and FC versions), Wii U Pro, Wii Remote as well as all 8BitDo Bluetooth controllers.
