2.4G connection
- turn the mode switch to 2.4
- connect the 2.4G receiver to the USB port of your device
- the connection indicator will remain solid for 8 seconds and then go off to indicate a successful connection
follow the steps below to re-pair the keyboard and receiver:
- turn the mode switch to OFF
- hold the pair button for 3 seconds to enter its pairing mode, the connection indicator starts to blink rapidly, connect the 2.4G receiver to the USB port of your device
- wait for the keyboard to automatically pair with the receiver, the connection indicator will remain solid for 8 seconds and then go off to indicate a successful connection
Wired connection
- turn the mode switch to OFF
- connect the keyboard to the USB port of your device and wait until the keyboard is successfully recognized by your device before using it
Bluetooth connection
- turn the mode switch to BT
- press and hold the pair button for 3 seconds to enter its pairing mode, the connection indicator starts to blink rapidly.(this is required for the very first time only)
- go to your device’s Bluetooth list and pair with [8BitDo Retro Keyboard], the connection indicator will remain solid for 8 seconds and then go off to indicate a successful connection
Battery
200 hours of usage time with a 2000mAh built-in battery, rechargeable with 4 hours charging time
Fast key mapping
- the fast key mapping only copies the key function temporarily and will not work after shutting down or reconnecting. Please use the Ultimate Software to make permanent modifications
- the key mapping indicator blinks continuously when the mapped programmable key is pressed
- hold the star button for 3 seconds to cancel all the fast key mapping, the key mapping indicator will blink 3 times
- press the star button + any other key + programmable key to copy the key to the programmable key
