Isolation Tips

  • Vibrations can physically travel through rigid materials such as ceramic or hardwood floors and affect your audio signal.
  • It is recommended to use anti-vibration furniture pads to decrease the transmission of physical vibrations when installed in a room with hard floors.
  • Speakers create sound waves, which travel through the air, and can cause unwanted acoustical effects. Acoustic foam can be placed on the wall opposite the speakers to dampen sound reflections.
  • Some turntables have a removable dust cover. A dust cover can resonate with sound waves, which can cause audio distortion. A best practice is to remove the dust cover during playback.
