EASY SETUP GUIDE

The JBL® Creature® III powered speaker system leverages the  extensive JBL audio heritage in the pro and consumer arenas to deliver a world-class listening experience for use with your laptop or desktop computer. The 3.5mm mini stereo jack also allows connectivity to a variety of audio devices. Proprietary transducer technology has been utilized to ensure that the Creature III system offer great bass, a crystal-clear midrange performance and silky smooth highs. To help achieve this, the Creature III system has an onboard JBL amplifier that is designed to supply high output with minimal distortion. This powerful transducer and amplifier combination produces great audio, whether you are listening to music, checking out the latest news, or enjoying the latest game.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read the following operating precautions before use:

  • Read instructions – all safety and operating instructions should be read thoroughly before attempting to operate this audio system.
  • Retain instructions for future reference.
  • Heed warnings – all warnings on this audio system and in the operating instructions should be adhered to.
  • Follow instructions – all operating and use instructions should be followed.
  • To prevent the risk of electric shock, do not remove the cover  (or base).
  • There are no user-serviceable parts inside this unit; please refer servicing to qualified of Harman Consumer Group, Inc., service personnel.
  • Do not expose the speaker system to temperature or humidity extremes, direct sunlight, excessive dust, vibrations, liquids or solvents.
  • Place the speaker system on a stable, level surface. Do not drop, apply excessive force to the controls, or put heavy objects on top of any of the speakers.
  • If cleaning is required, use a soft, dry cloth. If necessary,  use a damp cloth without any solvents.
  • In order to protect the speaker system, avoid the microphone feedback, the continuous output from electronic musical instruments, or distorted output from any signal source.
  • Do not place the speakers close to fluorescent light sources or neon light fixtures.
  • Although the speakers are magnetically shielded, keep magnetic storage media (discs and tapes) at least 4″ from the speaker system, in order to avoid data loss.
  • Warning – to reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this speaker system to rain or moisture.

Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste; use separate collection facilities.
Contact your local government for information regarding the collection systems available. If electrical appliances are disposed of in landfills or dumps, hazardous substances can leak into the groundwater and get into the food chain, damaging your health and well-being. When replacing old appliances with new ones, the retailer is legally obligated to take back your old appliance for disposal free of charge.

FCC STATEMENT AND WARNING
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the  limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio-frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception (which can be determined by turning the equipment on and off), the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

a) Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
b) Increase the separation between the equipment.
c) Connect the equipment to an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
d) Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

This product is intended to be supplied by a Listed Power Unit, marked with “Limited Power Source,” “LPS” and “Class II” on the unit, and output rated 12V DC, 3A min. Tma 35° C.
