Product Usage Instructions
Download and Install the Xodo Smart App
- Download and install the Xodo Smart App from the App Store (for iOS) or Google Play Store (for Android).
- Open the app.
- Register an account by entering your email address and setting up a profile or log in with an existing account.
- Configure your WiFi by choosing your network and providing password credentials. Note that the app supports 2.4 GHz WiFi networks, and 5 GHz networks are not compatible.
- You can add additional members later in the Family Settings to allow others to control the smart products.

Download and Install the Xodo Smart APP
- Download and install the APP. It can also be found by searching
- “XODO Smart” by Contixo Inc. in the App Store (for IOS) or Google Play Store (for Android).
Open the APP
- Register an account by entering your email address and setting up a profile or logging in with an existing account.
- Configure your WiFi by choosing your network and providing password credentials. The APP supports 2.4 GHz WiFi networks (5 GHz network is not compatible).
- Additional members can be added later in the Family Settings to allow others to control smart products.
The welcome screen will appear and then you will be asked to log in or register a profile.
Adding Devices
You will be able to manually add a device. Select Light to con? nue.
Detecting Device
When detecting devices manually, power on the device and confirm the bulb is
blinking rapidly. (Turn on and then turn the bulb three times (on-off-on-off-
on), the bulb will blink two times per second. If the bulb flashes once every
two seconds, please turn it on and then turn the bulb for three times again
(on-off-on-off-on)) Once you confirm the smart device is ready, press the
“Confirm indicator rapidly blink” button. Continue on to the next step.
Pressing the “Help” button will offer some
troubleshooting guidelines to follow.
Connect to a WiFi network
- Now you want to connect the smart device to a local WiFi network. If the proper network is not listed on this page, select the “Change Network” link to see a list of available networks.
- Your router may broadcast both 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz broadband frequency. Make sure to select the 2.4 GHz WiFi. Enter your Internet password and connect to the network.
Connecting
The connecting screen will appear. When the device is found, a green checkmark
will appear, and then initializing the device will be complete. After the
connecting process is completed, it will
continue on to the next screen.
Confirmation Screen
- The smart device is added once they are communicating on the same Wi-Fi Network.
- You can rename the smart device by clicking on the pencil icon.
- You can specify the locaton. Press the “Done” button at the bottom of the screen to continue to the next step.
Home Screen Updated
Now that your device has been added, it will show on the home screen along with all other paired Xodo Smart Products. Now you are all set.
White Mode
The White Mode screen will allow basic controls over the standard lighting
mode.
- Bright controls the brightness.
- Color Temp allows the light to take different moods.
Color Mode
Color Mode allows additional controls over the lighting.
- Saturation will give more brilliance to the lighting.
- Bright will allow control over light intensity.
Scene Mode
Scene Mode allows additional controls for preset lighing.
- Each light mode will provide different lightting effects to choose from.
Music
The music mode allows the light bulb to change the light according to the
sound received by your phone.
Plan
This will keep the bulb in a different state for a specific duration of time.
- Click on “More”, then click on “Plan”.
- Click “Add to” and select the plan type.
- Set the desired me and color.
- Random timing: The bulb can be turned on or off randomly within a set time.
- Cycle timing: The light bulb will turn on or off in the set time cycle according to the set time.
- Sleep plan: The bulb will gradually dim at the preset time according to the set time until it turns off.
- Wake-up plan: The bulb will gradually brighten up to the brightest state at the preset time according to the set time.
Schedule
This will keep the bulb in ON/OFF position for a specific duration of me.
- Click on “Schedule”.
- Click “Add”.
- First, configure the hours (let).
- Next configure minutes (right).
- Click “Repeat” and choose the day of the week.
- Select the state of the switch(ON/OFF).
- Click “Save” to save the settings.
Let Time
This will keep the bulb in the ON/OFF position for a specific duration me.
- Click “Let me”.
- Select the switch that needs to be set.
- First, configure the hours (let).
- Next configure minutes (right).
- Click “OK” to save the settings.
Configure the Light Bulb Se?ngs
Different features can be adjusted from the menu button on the upper right-hand
bu?on “ ” on the APP.
- Device Name can be changed as desired.
- Device information can check the information of the wifi bulb.
- Tap-to-Run and Automatallow to check the Smart Automation your device is linked with.
- Supported Third-Party Control provides information about how to connect your device to Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant.
- Offline Notification allows us to alert you when your device is offline.
- Add Members to be able to control the device in the Share Device seng.
- Create a Group to control another smart device at the same me.
- FAQ & Feedback allows users to report issues and get help.
- Add to Home Screen allows you to add the wifi bulb to the home screen of your smartphone.
- Check Device Network allows you to check the network connection status.
- Firmware Information allows you to check software or install updates to the device.
- Removing the device will remove the wifi bulb from the Xodo Smart app and remove pairing. This is necessary if pairing with a new device.
- Restore Factory Defaults allows you to reset the wifi bulb to the factory setting.
Link Xodo Smart account to Google Home Screen
- Open the Google Play Store or Apple Store and download Google Home
- Open the Google Home app. Click on Get Started.
- Login with a Google Account or create a new account.
- Use Location access to find devices on the same wifi network.
- You will need permission so Google Home can access the device.
- The app will search for devices to connect.
- If no devices can be found that are already set up, select NO.
- A YouTube video is available to help instruct how to use smart devices.
- The app will show settings to add devices, setup routines, and adjust settings.
- If the devices are already installed and set up through the Xodo app, you can select the “Works with Google” setup option to continue.
- Configure the home settings by adding the address and name to a “Home” group.
Control your smart devices through Google Home
Now you can control your smart devices through Google Home. Take bedroom light
as an example, the supported voice commands are as below:
- Ok Google, turn on/off bedroom light.
- Ok Google, set bedroom light to 50 percent.
- Ok Google, brighten the bedroom light.
- Ok Google, dim bedroom light.
- Ok Google, set bedroom light to red.
Link Xodo Smart account to Alexa
- Download the free Alexa app from the Amazon App Store, Google Play, or the Apple App Store.
- Open the Alexa app to the home screen
- In the upper let hand corner open the menu.
- Next, click on “Skills & Games”
- At top of app, you can now search for “Smart Life”
- Smart Life App will appear.
- Open the Smart Life app to add
- Click Settings
- Manage Smart Home Devices to verify Smart Life has been added.
- You will be redirected to the account link page. Type in your Xodo Smart account and password, don’t forget to select the country/region where your account belongs to. Then tap “Link Now” to link your Xodo Smart account. The country/region, the account, and the password must match.
The products are not designed for use in:
- For safety reasons, do not open the device, doing this will void the warranty.
- Only use the adaptor supplied; using a different adaptor can damage the device.
- Only use this bulb in a socket that is rated for this bulb.
- This device is not designed to be played with by children like a toy.
- Do not place the device on hot surfaces.
- Before replacing, turn off the power and let the bulb cool to avoid electrical shock or burn.
- Risk of electric shock.
- Do not use devices where directly exposed to water.
- The device is for indoor use only.
- Do not use the device in wet locations, e.g. bathrooms or outdoors.
While using this product :
- Switch the power supply to the socket and allow sufficient me for the bulb to cool before removing the bulb from the fitting.
- Do not clean the device when it is on and connected to the power supply.
- Remove the water proofing silicone sleeves from outdoor capable bulbs when using them indoors.
- Do not open the device, as this will void the warranty.
- To avoid scratching the device, clean it only with a dry cloth.
- Do not use cleaning agents to clean the device.
