Safety Instructions

  • Only use the Smart Air Purifier as described in this manual.
  • Do not use without removing the plastic wrap from the filter. If not removed, the air purifier will not filter air, and may overheat, causing a fire hazard,
  • Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the local power voltage before you connect the appliance.
  • Do not use the air purifier outdoors.
  • Not for commercial use. Household use only.
  • Keep the air purifier away from water or wet, damp areas. Never place in water or liquid.
  • Do not use in excessively humid areas.
  • Keep the air purifier away from heat sources such as stove tops, ovens, or radiators.
  • Do not clean the appliance with water, any other liquid, or a (flammable) detergent, nor let them enter the appliance, to avoid electric shock and/or a fire hazard.
  • Keep 5 feet/1.5m away from where oxygen is being administered.
  • Supervise children when they are near the air purifier. Do not allow children to play with the air purifier.
  • Children should not clean or perform maintenance on the air purifier without supervision.
  • Do not place anything into the openings of the air purifier.
  • Do not place heavy objects on the air purifier.
  • Do not block the air inlet and air outlet.
  • Keep the inside of the air purifier dry. To prevent moisture build-up, avoid placing in rooms with major temperature changes or underneath air conditioners.
  • Always place and use the appliance on a dry, stable, level, and horizontal surface.
  • Always tum off the air purifier first, then unplug the adapter from the wall outlet, when you want to move, clean the appliance, replace the filters or carry out other maintenance
  • Do not touch the power plug or power adapter with wet hands
  • Do not use the air purifier if it is damaged or not working correctly, or if the power adapter cord is damaged.
  • Do not repair yourself. Contact Customer Support
  • Only use the power adapter provided with this air purifier.

Getting Started

  1. Rotate the bottom filter cover counterclockwise and take it out.

  2. Remove the plastic packaging from the filter and place it back into the air purifier.

  3. Reattach the filter cover and rotate it clockwise to lock. The sound of “had” indicates the filter cover is tightened up.

  4. Place the air purifier on a flat, stable surface with the panel facing up. Allow at least 15 in/38 cm of clearance on all sides of the air purifier. Keep away from anything that would block airflow, such as curtains and cabinets.

  5. The air purifier can not replace a kitchen ventilator in use. It is recommended to place it between the kitchen and the living room.

  6. Insert the adaptor output cable into the DC input port, then plug the power adaptor into a 120 V socket. Now your purifiers ready to use!

Using Your Smart Air Purifier

You can access additional features using Govern Home App.

Note: You could peel off the protective film on the panel before using.
Functions & Controls

Functions & Controls

On/Off Button
Short press to turn Smart Air Purifier on/off. Press and hold for 3 seconds to activate Wi-Fi and other network functions, entering pairing mode.

Fan Speed Button
Press to cycle through fan speeds: I (low), II (medium), and III (high).
Note : Tapping the Fan Speed Button while the air purifiers in Auto Mode, Sleep Mode(if the display is on) will exit that mode.

Timer Button
Press to cycle through timer options: 2H, 4H, BH, and cancel. The purifier will turn off automatically when the set timer has expired.

Sleep Mode Button
Press to turn Sleep Mode on or off. When Sleep Mode is on, the air purifier will work in its lowest noise setting and the panel’s brightness will dim for more comfortable use at night.

Auto Mode Button
Press to turn Auto Mode on or off. The purifier will automatically adjust based on the environmental air quality.

Turbo Mode Button
Press to turn Turbo Mode on or off. The machine will operate at its maximum speed, delivering a powerful purification effect but also with a higher noise level.

Night Light & Filter Change Button
Short press this button to turn the night light on or off. When the filter expires, its exchange indicator will light up in red. After replacing it with the new filter, press and hold the button for 3 seconds. If the indicator flashes 3 times, the reset is completed.

Note:

  • After the filter is reset, its usage time will be recalculated.
  • The exchange indicator can also be reset by pressing the button for 3 seconds even if does not light up.
  • Only use Govern filters compatible with H7129 Smart Air Purifier.

Recovery Button
Long press for 5 seconds until all indicators flash once, then the air purifier will be restored to factory settings, disconnect from Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and automatically reboot. This button is for restoring all preset functions if the air purifier cannot function properly.
Note: After restoring the air purifier to factory settings, go to “My Devices” page on the app to delete this air purifier first, otherwise it cannot be added to the app again.

Memory Function
This air purifier will save its previous settings when powered off (such as speed, mode, and Wi-Fi connection), and when it is powered back on, the settings will resume.

To download Govern Home App, scan the QR code or search for “Govern” in the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

Note

  • Choose “Allow” to the permissions requested when opening Govern Home App for the first time. These permissions allow the app’s features to function normally and are not used to record personal, private information.
  • Due to ongoing updates, Govern Home App may be slightly different than shown in this manual.. In case of any differences, always follow the in-app instructions.

Pairing with Govern Home App

  1. Turn on your smartphone’s Bluetooth. Connect to your Wi-Fi router’s 2.4GHz network. 5GHz is not supported.

  2. Ensure that the Wi-Fi indicator on your device is flashing. If the Wi-Fi indicator is off, press and hold the On/Off Button for 3 seconds to activate. Complete the pairing within 20 minutes; otherwise, the network functions will be disabled, and the Wi-Fi indicator will go out.

  3. Android users turn on Location Services; IOS users choose Location->Always On in the pop-up window while adding devices.
    Note:
    For IOS users, if you chose Location->Never, it might result in notifications/alert exceptions. It is recommended to follow Settings->Govee Home ->Location->Always On to obtain the best experience.

    • Govee Home WILL NOT collect, use, or share your location in any way.
  4. Open Govee Home App, tap the”+” icon in the top right corner and search for “H7129”.

  5. Tap the device icon and follow the in-app instructions to complete the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection.

Note:

  • Method to turn off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection: Press and hold Button for 5s to restore the device to factory settings, then go to “My Devices” page on the app to delete this heater first, otherwise it cannot be added to the app again.
  • You can use Govee Home App to connect your heater to Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. Follow the in-app instructions to connect to each voice assistant.
  • Govee Home App is being continually updated and its features do expand.

About the Filters

The air purifier uses a 3-stage filtration system to purify air.
About the Filters

Washable Pre-Filter

  • Captures large particles such as dust, lint, fibres, hair, and pet fur.
  • Maximises the filter’s life by protecting it from large debris.

H13 True HEAP Filter

  • Captures at least 99.97% of airborne particles 0.3 microns (Qm) in size.
  • Filters small particles such as fine dust, smoke particles, pollen, and pet dander.

Modified Activated Carbon Filter

  • Physically adsorbs smoke, doors, and fumes.
  • Decomposes harmful gases produced during cooking, such as sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and filters other volatile organic compounds such as formaldehyde, butane, ammonia, and hydrogen sulphide.

Humidity

Moisture may damage the filters. This air purifier should be used in an area with a humidity level below 85% RH. If you use the air purifier in excessively humid areas, the surface of the filter may become mouldy.

Essential Oils

  • Do not add essential oils to the air purifier or filter. The filter will be damaged by the oil and may eventually release an unpleasant smell.
  • Do not use diffuses near the air purifier.

Care & Maintenance

Cleaning the Smart Air Purifier

Do not clean with abrasive chemicals or flammable cleaning agents.

Cleaning Steps

  1. Unplug before cleaning.
  2. Wipe the outside of the air purifier with a soft, dry cloth. If necessary, wipe the housing with a damp cloth, then immediately dry it up.
  3. It is recommended to vacuum the inside of the purifier

Cleaning the Filter
The outer pre-filter should be cleaned to increase its efficiency and service life.

Note : Do not clean the True HEPA and Modified Activated Carbon Filters.
Cleaning the Filter

  1. Carefully peel the pre-filter away from the True HEPΡΑ and Modified Activated Carbon Filters..

  2. Use a soft brush or vacuum to clean the hair, dust and large particles on the outer pre-filter. If necessary, use water and mild detergent to clean the grease on the filter. Use it only after the filter is dried up.

  3. Stick the short side of the pre-filter to the longitudinal hook-and-loop fastener.
    Surround the filter and stick the other side to the fastener.
    Note: Please ensure the upper and lower ends of the pre-filter align with the upper and lower edges of the filter.

  4. Replace the filter in housing.

Note: A 3-stage filter includes a Fiber Cloth Pre-Filter, True HEPA Filter, and Carbon Filter.

The three parts of the filter should be replaced as a single unit.

Users can choose to clean the pre-filter more frequently depending on the user’s condition.

Replacing the Filter

  1. Unplug the air purifier and lay it on its side.
  2. Remove the old filter.
  3. Clean out any remaining dust or hair inside the air purifier using a vacuum hose. Do not use water or liquids to clean the air purifier.
  4. Unwrap the new filter and place it into the housing.
  5. Reattach the cover. Plug in the air purifier.
  6. Reset the Filter Change Indicator.

Note:

  • To maintain the performance of your air purifier, only use official Govee filters. To buy replacement filters, visit Govee’s online store.
  • Remember to reset the Filter Change Indicator after changing the filter.

Filter Change Time Period

The filter should be replaced every 6-8 months. The exact date at which your filter may need to be changed may vary depending on how often you use your air purifier. Using your air purifier in an environment with relatively high pollution may mean you will need to replace the filter more often, even if the filter change indicator is off. The filter needs to be replaced in any following case:

  • Increased noise
  • Decreased airflow
  • Unusual doors
  • A visibly clogged filter

Resetting Filter Change Indicator

When the Filter Change Indicator lights red, it prompts to reset the filter service life.

  • Press and hold for 3 seconds. will flash 3 times and then turn off once successfully reset.
  • will light up as a reminder to replace the filter. The indicator should turn on within 6-8 months, though this time period can be longer or shorter based on the actual usage. You may not need to replace your filter yet, but you should check it when replace it soon. turns on and plan to replace it soon.
  • Reset the Filter Change Indicator when you have replaced the filter.

Storing

If not using the air purifier for an extended period of time, wrap both the air purifier and the filter in plastic packaging and store them in a dry place to avoid moisture damage.

Troubleshooting

The troubleshooting section below is for solving frequently asked questions for the purifier unit. If your problem persists, please contact Customer Support.

For Smart Air Purifier 2 Pro (Sensor)

Problem Possible Solution
Air purifier will not turn on or respond to touch controls. Plug in the air

purifier.
Check to see if the power cord is damaged. If so, stop using the airpurifier and contact Customer Support.
Plug the air purifier into a different outlet.
The air purifier may be malfunctioning. Contact Customer Support.
Filter Change Indicator turned on before 6 months.|  is a reminder for you to check the filter which will light up based on how long the air purifier has been used. If you run your air purifier frequently, will turn on sooner.
Problem| Possible Solution
Airflow is significantly reduced.| Make sure the filter is removed from its packaging and properly in place.
| Tap to increase the fan speed.
| Make sure there are at least 15 inches / 38 cm of clearance on all sides of the air purifier.
| The pre-filter may be clogged by large particles, such as hair or lint, blocking airflow. Clean the pre-filter.
| Replace with a new filter.
Air purifier makes an unusual noise while the fan is on.| Make sure the filter is properly in place with plastic packaging removed.
| Make sure the air purifier is operating on a hard, flat, level surface.
| Replace the filter.
| The air purifier may be damaged, or a foreign object may be inside.Stop using the air purifier and contact Customer Support. Do not try to repair the air purifier yourself.
Strange smell is coming  from  the air purifier or it has poor odor removal ability.| Clean the filter or replace it if necessary.
| The grease on the pre-filter might produce a strange smell. Take the pre- filter down to clean and dry it up before using.
| Make sure not to use your air purifier in an area with high humidityor while diffusing essential oils.
| Remove the filter and expose it to the sun, until the smell can be reduced from the activated carbon filter.
Poor air purification quality.| Tap to increase the fan speed.
| Make sure no objects are blocking the sides or top of the air purifier(the inlet or outlet).
| Make sure the filter is fully removed from its packaging and is properlysecured in place.
| Close doors and windows while using the air purifier.
| If the room is larger than 441ft2/ 41m2, air purification will take longer. The air purifier may not be as effective in significantly larger rooms.
| Replace the filter.
Filter Change Indicator is still on after replacing the filter.| Press and hold for 3 seconds. will flash 3 times and turn offence successfully reset.
Filter Change Indicator has not turned on within 8 months.| is a reminder for you to check the filter and will light up based onhow frequently the air purifier has been used. If you don’t use your air purifier often, will take longer to turn on.

For App & Connectivity

  1. Cannot connect to Govee Home App.
    • Make sure your smartphone is powered on and is not connected to other Bluetooth devices.
    • Ensure that the Wi-Fi indicator on the air purifier is slowly flashing. If the Wi-Fi indicator is off, press and hold for 3 seconds and complete the pairing within 20 minutes.
    • Enable the smartphone’s Location Services.
    • Try connecting with another smartphone.
    • Make sure your app is the latest version.
    • Make sure your Wi-Fi router is connected to the 2.4GHz network. Confirm the network is working correctly.
    • Make sure the Wi-Fi password you entered is correct.
    • Shorten the distance between the air purifier, Wi-Fi router, and the smartphone.
    • Make sure your air purifier and the Wi-Fi router are located away from appliances that produce electromagnetic radiation (e.g. microwave ovens, refrigerators, etc.).
    • If you are using a VPN, try turning it off and then connecting the purifier.
    • Disable portal authentication for your Wi-Fi network. If portal authentication is enabled, this air purifier will not be able to access your Wi-Fi network, and the setup will fail. Portal authentication means that you need to sign in to your Wi-Fi network through a web page before you can use the Internet
  2. Cannot find the air purifier in nearby Bluetooth devices list.
    • The air purifier may be connected to another smartphone. Disconnect it from the other smartphone first.
    • Ensure that the Wi-Fi indicator on the air purifier is slowly flashing.
  3. The air purifier is offline.
    • Make sure the air purifier is plugged in and powered on, then refresh “My Devices” in Govee Home App by swiping down on the screen.
    • Make sure your router is connected to the internet, and your smartphone’s network connection is working.
    • If the Wi-Fi password has been changed, the air purifier will automatically go offline. Try connecting it to the network again.
    • Delete the offline air purifier from Govee Home App, then add and reconfigure the air purifier again in Govee Home App.
