Introduction

The GoveeLife Presence Sensor is equipped with a built-in microwave radar, infrared temperature probe, precision circuitry, and a Fresnel lens.
Installing it on a wall or ceiling can detect any living presence in a designated space. When the sensor is connected to a network, it can transmit the presence information in the space as a trigger condition and interconnect with other products to execute  commands, enabling more smart scenarios by sending the information to Govee Home App.

Controls

Function Button

  1. When the device is powered on, the indicator will become solid, which means the device has entered the Bluetooth Broadcast Mode. Search H5127 in the app. Follow the in-app instructions to press the function button when the indicator is flashing to  complete pairing.
  2. Press and hold for 10 seconds, and the indicator will flash 3 times. The preset information will be cleared and the device will be restored to factory settings. The indicator will remain solid.

Functions

Presence Signal Detection
The sensor can detect any living presence within the detection range, and transmit the information of the living presence as a trigger condition, enabling more smart scenarios by Setting interconnection with other products in Govee Home App.

Recovery Function
Press the function button for 10 seconds unti the indicator flashes 3 times to clear all default Settings and restore to factory settings. At the same time, clear the cleaning reminders and disconnect from Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
Note: After restoring the sensor to factory settings, g0 to the My Devices page on the app to delete this sensor first, otherwise it cannot be added to the app again.

Memory Function
The sensor will save its previous settings when powered off (such as detection range settings).
When itis powered back on, the settings will resume.

Getting Started

  1. Remove all packaging and plug into power.

  2. When the device is powered on, the indicator will become solid, which means the device has entered the Bluetooth Broadcast Mode.
    Search H5127 in the app. Follow the in-app instructions to press the function button when the indicator is flashing to complete pairing.

  3. Following the in-app instructions, install the device on the wall at a height of 4.6-5.9ft (1.4-1.8m) or on the ceiling at a height of 8.5-9.8t (2.6-3.0m)
    a. Installing on the Wall: The maximum detection range of a living presence in a straight ine is 18ft (5.5m). The maximum detection range of motion in a straight line is 26.2ft (8m).
    Advantages: The detection range is wide. Itis good for etecting moving or sitting targets.
    Disadvantages: You need to adjust the position or angle of the sensor to detect targets that are ying fiat.
    b. Installing on the Ceiling: If e ceiling is 9.8ft (3m) high, the detection range will be a circle with a radius of 6.5t (2m) on the ground.
    Advantages: Itis good for detecting static targets that are sleeping
    Disadvantages: The detection range is small.
    Note:
    • When choosing to install the sensor on the ceiling, you donit need to set the detection range or exclude interference in the app.
    • During installation, try to avoid curtains, plants, air conditioning, fans, flowing water, air vents, etc. within the detection range.
    Otherwise, itis recommended to enable Biological Recognition or exclude interference area in the app.

  4. Adjust the angle of the sensor stand to focus on the main area of human activity.

Note:

  1. It is recommended to test whether the sensor can effectively detect any living presence before first use. Determine the installation position before sticking the adhesive tape. You can use the transparent tape to fix the metal base first, then attach the sensor  base onto the metal plate. After testing the detection effect, use adhesive tapes or nals to install the metal plate.
  2. For indoor use only.
  3. Avoid placing metal or other objects in front of the sensor.
  4. Please make sure the surface of the device is clean and dry.

Downloading Govee Home App
To download Govee Home App, scan the QR code or search for “Govee” n the Apple App Store® (105) or Google Play Store (Android).

Note:

  • Choose “Allow to the permissions requested when opening Govee Home App for the first time. These permissions allow the app’s features to function normally and are ot used to record personal, private Information.
  • Due to ongoing updates, Govee Home App may be slightly different than shown in this manual. In case of any differences, always follow the in-app instructions.

Pairing with Govee Home App

  1. Turn on your smartphone’s Bluetooth.
    Connect to your Wi-i router’s 2.4GHz network. 5GHz is not supported.

  2. Android users turn on Location Services; IOS users choose Location ->Always O in the pop-up window while adding devices.
    Note:
    • For 105 users, if you chose Location->Never, it might result in notifications/alert exceptions. It is recommended to follow Settings ->Govee Home ->Location ->Always On to obtain the best experience.
    • Govee Home WILL NOT collect, use, or share your location in any way.

  3. 0pen Govee Home App, tap the “+* icon in the top right corner and search for “H5127.”

  4. Tap the device icon and follow the in-app instructions to complete the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection.

Note:

  • Method to turn off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection: Press and hold the function button for 105 to restore the device to factory. settings, then go to the My Devices page on the app to delete this presence sensor first, otherwise it cannot be added to the app   again.
  • You can use Govee Home App to connect your presence sensor to Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. Follow the in-app instructions to connect to each voice assistant.
  • Govee Home App is being continually updated and its features do expand.

Troubleshooting

The troubleshooting section below is for solving frequently asked questions for the presence sensor. If your problem persists, please contact Customer Support.

For Presence Sensor

Problem Possible Solution
The sensor cannot detect any living presence. Check whether the device is

plugged into power and connected to Wi- Fi.
Check whether the detected area s included in the detection range setin  the app.
Make sure no obstacles stand in front of the sensor.
Contact Customer Support.
There is nobody in the space but presence s detected.| Check whether there are any moving interferences in the  environment.  Remove the obstacles or adjust the installation position to avoid interference.
Abiotic interference might exist.
Enable the Biological
Recognition switch in the app.
There may be electrical interference within the detection range. It can  be excluded by setting in the app.
The sensor may be malfunction-
ing. Stop using the sensor and
contact Customer Support.

For App & Connectivity

  1. Cannot connect to Govee Home App.
    •  Make sure your smartphone is powered on and is not connected with other Bluetooth devices nable the smartphone’s Location Services.
    Try connecting with another smartphone.
    •  Make sure your app is updated to the latest version.
    • ake sure you connect to your Wi-Fi routers 2.4GHz network and that the network is working correctly.
    • ake suire the Wi-Fi password you entered is correct.
    • Shorten the distance between the sensor, Wi-Fi router, and the smartphone.
    • Make sure your sensor and the Wi-Fi router are located away from appliances that produce electromagnetic radiation (e.g. microwave ovens, refrigerators, etc.)
    • 1fyou are using a VPN, try turning it off and then connecting the sensor.
    Disable p rtal authentication for your Wi-Fi network. If portal authentication is enabled, this sensor wil not be able to access your Wi-Fi network and setup will fail. Portal authentication means that you need to sign in to your Wi-Fi network through a web page before you can use the Internet

  2.  Cannot find the device on the Bluetooth Device Nearby page of the app.
    • The sensor may be connected with another smartphone. Disconnect it from the other rtphone first.

  3. The sensor is offline.
    • Make sure the sensor is plugged in and powered on, then refresh “My Devices” in Govee Home App by swiping down on the screen.
    • Make sure your router is connected to the internet and your smartphone’s network connection is working.
