Product Information:

The A XOR One 280 2jet 48 483XX1 48 48 4XX1 is a showerhead with a maximum flow rate of 2.5 GPM (9.5 L/min). It comes with a ceiling connector of length 300mm (approx. 12 inches). This showerhead is designed to be installed with rough #26434181 (not included) and is controlled by the diverter. It has no controls of its own and is for use with automatic compensating valves rated at 1.9 GPM (7.2 L/min) or less.

Installation Considerations:

  • It is recommended that the unit be installed by a licensed, professional plumber.
  • Thoroughly read the instructions before beginning installation and ensure that all tools and supplies needed are available.
  • Inspect the product for shipping damage before installation as claims made after installation will not be honored.
  • Ensure that the entire fastening surface is even and smooth with no protruding seams or tile offset and that the finish of the wall is suitable to install the product.
  • The shower arm is intended only to hold the showerhead, do not load it down with other objects.
  • The diverter included with rough #26434181 is for use with trim #45772XX1 (not included).
  • Keep the booklet and receipt in a safe place as the receipt is required to request warranty parts.

Product Usage Instructions:

  1. Turn off the main water supply before beginning installation.
  2. Remove and discard the distance tube.
  3. Remove the plug using a 17 mm wrench and discard it along with the water guide.
  4. Remove the water guide spacer and the plugs.
  5. Lubricate the oranges on the shower arm inlets and plug.
  6. Insert the plug into the outlet corresponding to the plugged water inlet on the rough and push the shower arm into place so that the shower arm inlets go into the open outlets on the rough.
  7. Ensure that the detent on the flange is aligned with the keyway on the rough and rotate the flange clockwise to complete installation.

  • Inspect this product for shipping damage before installation. Claims for shipping damage made after the product is installed will not be honored.
  • Make sure that the entire fastening surface is even and smooth (no protruding seams or tile offset), that the finish of the wall is suitable to install the product and has no weak points.
  • This showerhead is for use with rough #26434181 (not included).
  • SPECIAL INFORMATION FOR AUSTRALIA ONLY: This showerhead is for use with rough #26434180 (not included)
  • The diverter included with rough #26434181 is for use with trim #45772XX1 (not included).
  • 48483XX1 ONLY: This showerhead is for use with automatic compensating valves rated at 1.9 GPM (7.2 L/min) or less.

  • 48484XX1 ONLY: This showerhead is for use with automatic compensating valves rated at 1.3 GPM (4.9 L/min) or less.

  • To prevent scald injury, the maximum output temperature of the shower valve must be no higher than 120°F (49°C). In Massachusetts, the maximum output temperature can be no higher than 112°F (44°C).
  • There are no controls on the showerhead. The spray functions are controlled by the diverter.
  • The shower arm is intended only to hold the shower head. Do not load it down with other objects!
  • Keep this booklet and the receipt (or other proof of date and place of purchase) for this product in a safe place. The receipt is required should it be necessary to request warranty parts.

INSTALL ATION SUGGESTIONS

INSTALLATION

  • TURN THE WATER OFF AT THE MAIN BEFORE BEGINNING.
    Remove and discard the distance tube.

  • Remove the plug using a 17 mm wrench. Discard the plug.

  • Loosen the screw on the plastic pipe.

  • Remove and discard the plastic pipe.

  • Remove and discard the water guide.

  • Remove the water guide spacer.

  • Remove and discard the plugs.

  • Lubricate the oranges on the shower arm inlets and on the plug.

  • Insert the plug into the outlet corresponding to the plugged water inlet on the rough. (See A-C, )

  • Push the shower arm into place so that the shower arm inlets go into the open outlets on the rough.

  • The detent on the flange should be aligned with the keyway on the rough.
    Rotate the flange clockwise.

  • Tighten the set screw using a 2 mm Allen wrench.

  • Push the holder against the ceiling.

  • Tighten the screws using a 2 mm Allen wrench. Push the escutcheon over the holder.

  • Install the filter in the showerhead. Lubricate the oaring.

  • CAUTION! THE SHOWERHEAD IS HEAVY. Push the showerhead into place.
    Rotate the showerhead until it clicks.
    Install the clip.

CLEANIN G RECOMMENDATION FOR HANSGROHE PRODUCTS

Modern bathroom faucets, kitchen faucets and shower products are made from different materials to comply with the needs of the market with regard to design and functionality. To avoid damage to the product, it is necessary to take proper care of it.

FOR BEST RESULTS:

  • Prevent the buildup of mineral scale and /or soap residue by cleaning your Hansgrohe product(s) when needed.
  • Select a cleaning agent specifically intended for the type of product.
  • DO NOT use these types of cleaners as they will cause damage to your Hansgrohe product:
    • Any cleaning agent containing hydrochloric acid, formic acid, lye, or acetic acid.
    • Abrasive cleaning powders, pads, or brushes.
    • Steam cleaners.
    • “No rinse” cleaning agents.
  • ALWAYS follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the cleaning agent.
  • DO NOT mix cleaning agents, unless directed by the manufacturer.
  • DO NOT spray cleaners directly onto the product as drops could enter openings and gaps and cause damage. When using spray cleaners, spray the cleaner onto a soft cloth or sponge.
  • ALWAYS rinse your Hansgrohe product thoroughly with clear water and polish dry with a soft cloth after cleaning.

IMPORTANT

  • Residue from soaps and shampoos can cause damage. Rinse the product with clean water after each use.
  • Residue from basin/tub/tile cleaner can cause damage to faucets and fittings. Immediately rinse any overspray from the Hansgrohe product.
  • DO NOT store any cleaning agents under your Hansgrohe product, such as in a vanity unit, as the fumes may damage the product.
  • DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCT CAUSED BY IMPROPER CARE OR THE USE OF IMPROPER CLEANING AGENTS IS NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY.
  • IF A COMPONENT OF THE PRODUCT IS DAMAGED, REPLACE IT, AS THERE IS RISK OF INJURY.

HANSGROHE, IN C . LIMITED WARRANTY

Offering our customers the highest quality at all times is a fundamental part of the Hansgrohe, Inc. company philosophy. We offer consumers a limited warranty on our hansgrohe® and AXOR® branded products.
This warranty is limited to products manufactured by Hansgrohe, Inc. that are purchased from a Hansgrohe, Inc. authorized seller by a consumer in the United States or Canada after September 1, 2019, and installed in either the United States or in Canada.

WARRANTY
Hansgrohe, Inc. warrants to the original consumer purchaser that hans-grohe and AXOR products will be free from defects in material and workmanship for as long as the original consumer purchaser owns both the product and the home in which the product was originally installed. For commercial purchasers, the warranty period is

  1. one (1) year for hansgrohe products and
  2. five (5) years for AXOR products, in each case from the date of purchase.

The warranty period for products in the Rubbed Bronze, Matte Black and Matte White finishes are three (3) years from the date of purchase.
This warranty is non-transferable.

WHAT WE WILL DO
Hansgrohe, Inc., at its option, will replace any product or part of the prod- uct that proves defective in workmanship and/ or material, under normal installation, use, service and maintenance. If Hansgrohe, Inc. is unable to provide a replacement part or product and repair is not practical or can-not be made in timely fashion, Hansgrohe, Inc. may elect to refund the purchase price in exchange for the return of the defective product. REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT (OR, IN LIMITED CIRCUMSTANCES, REFUND OF THE PURCHASE PRICE) AS PROVIDED UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY OF THE PURCHASER.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY
Because Hansgrohe, Inc. is unable to control the quality of hansgrohe or AXOR products sold by unauthorized sellers, unless otherwise prohibited by law, this warranty does not cover hansgrohe or AXOR products purchased from unauthorized sellers. Authorized sellers can be found on hansgrohe and AXOR branded websites.

Labor and other expenses for disconnection, deinstallation, or return of the product for warranty service (including but not limited to proper packaging and shipping costs), or for installation or reinstallation of the product are not covered by this warranty.

Hansgrohe, Inc. shall not be liable for any damage to the product resulting from

  • reasonable wear and tear
  • outdoor use
  • misuse (including use of the product for an unintended application)
  • freezing water
  • excessive water pressure
  • pipe corrosion in the home in which the product is installed
  • abuse, neglect or improper or incorrectly performed installation, maintenance or repair, including the use of abrasive or caustic cleaning agents or “no-rinse” cleaning products.

This warranty does not cover:

  1. accessories, connected materials and products, or related products not manufactured by Hansgrohe, Inc.
  2. any hansgrohe or AXOR product sold for display purposes or
  3. hansgrohe or AXOR products purchased from unauthorized sellers.

HANSGROHE, INC.
