Product Information
Nuvi Deck Luminaire (Item No. D15222)
The Nuvi Deck Luminaire is a lighting fixture that requires a 12 Volt AC
system or other 9-15 Volt DC system for operation. It can be fully dimmed
using an MLV-type dimmer control of the 120 VAC side of the 12 VAC
transformer. PWM dimmer may be used on the output side of DC systems. The
luminaire comes with a cover and backplate for direct surface mounting, and it
is suitable for wet locations.
Safety Instructions
Before installation, turn off the power supply. If new wiring is required, consult a qualified electrician or local authority for code requirements. To prevent electrical shock, disconnect the transformer from the electrical supply before installation or service.
Product Usage Instructions
- Locate the desired position for the luminaire and make a hole for wiring in that area.
- Use the template provided to drill two mounting holes for the backplate.
- Run wire to the luminaire according to local building practices before installation.
- Use the template provided to drill a hole to route the wires.
- Strip the two wire leads from the luminaire and connect them to the main supply wire using wirenuts. Fill wirenuts with appropriate silicone to waterproof.
- Align the notch at the top of the cover with the slot in the backplate and push the bottom of the cover down to snap into place.
- If using in wet locations, apply silicone around the top and sides of the cover to waterproof the assembly.

SAFETY WARNING: TURN POWER SUPPLY OFF DURING INSTALLATION.
IF NEW WIRING IS REQUIRED, CONSULT A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN ORLOCAL AUTHORITY
FOR CODE REQUIREMENTS.
Operation Notes:
- This luminaire is designed to be operated with Deckorators approved 12 Volt AC systems or other 9-15 Volt DC systems.
- Full range dim by using MLV-type dimmer control of the 120 VAC side of 12 VAC transformer. PWM dimmer may be used on output side of DC systems.
Luminaire Mounting – Direct Surface Mount
- Locate desired position for the luminaire. Use template provided to drill the 2 mounting holes for the backplate.
- Use provided screws to secure backplate.
Luminaire Wiring:
- To prevent electrical shock, disconnect transformer from electrical supply before installation or service.
- Run wire to luminaire according to local building practices before installation.
- Use template provided to drill a hole to route the wires.
- Strip the two wire leads from the luminaire and connect to the main supply wire using the wirenuts. Fill wirenuts with appropriate silicone to waterproof. (consult wiring instructions from the transformer or power supply).
Cover Installation:
- Align notch at the top of the cover with the slot in the backplate.
- Push bottom of the cover down to snap into place.
For Wet Location Use
Silicone around the top and sides of the cover to waterproof the assembly
