This manual will provide instructions for effective and safe use of the product. Please read it carefully before use and store the manual in a safe place for future reference. If you ever pass the product on to others, this manual should be included.

Safety instructions

• For intended use only, as described in this manual.
• Before use, inspect the device and its parts. Do not use in case of damage.
• Do not use the product in extreme hot, cold or humid environments.
• Do not place near heat sources such as radiators, cookers, etc.
• Keep away from sources of ignition.
• Operation of this equipment in a residential environment could cause radio interference.
• Do not place, store or use the product near water.
• Do not let moisture come into contact with any electrical parts.
• Be careful when handling the product immediately after use. Some parts may still be hot.
• Do not cover the openings or insert any foreign objects.
• Keep the cords out of harm’s way.
• Place the product on a hard flat surface.
• Do not place anything on top the product.
• Do not attempt to repair, disassemble or alter the product yourself.
• Avoid long-term exposure to direct sunlight.
• Handle with care.
• Be careful with the tear bar. Sharp edge.

NOTE
– Avoid any contact with alcohol-based liquids or aerosol-based products, as they may negatively affect the print.
– Thermal paper is very sensitive to high temperatures, scratching and rubbing.
– The images in this manual may differ slightly from the actual product or software.

Operation

4.1 Charging

1. Before first use, fully charge the printer. This will take about 3-4 hours.
2. Connect the printer via the included USB-C cable directly to a power source (e.g. laptop) or to the mains via a suit- able adapter (not included).
3. The LED indicator glows red to indicate that the printer is charging. It turns green once the printer is fully charged.

NOTE
– You can print while charging.
– It is not recommended to completely deplete the battery. Charge the printer every three months to prolong battery life.
4.2 Paper installation
NOTE Only use compatible thermal print paper.
4.2.1 Paper roll

1. Use the two Open buttons to open the printer.
2. Insert a paper roll. Make sure the end of the paper comes up at the back and goes past the print head. Also make sure the printable side of the paper is facing up.
3. Firmly close the printer.

4.2.2 Fanfold paper
NOTE Make sure there is no paper roll in the printer.

1. Align the fanfold paper with the paper inlet at the back.
2. Feed the paper slowly with the printing surface down. This side is often indicated by black indicator marks.

4.3 Installation
4.3.1 Pairing with smartphone

1. Download the Luck Jingle app from the App Store or Google Play, or scan the relevant QR code:
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
3. Long press the Power button to turn on the printer. The LED indicator flashes blue.
4. Turn on Bluetooth and, for Android users, also GPS.
5. Open the app and press the small printer icon in the top right corner.
6. Press ‘Search for Bluetooth’, look for ‘A4 Printer’ and press ‘Connect’.
7. Choose the paper type and press ‘Confirm’.
8. Once successfully connected, a green tick will be displayed in the top right corner and the LED indicator flashes green.

NOTE When pairing with a smartphone, only connect via the corresponding Luck Jingle app (see instructions above). Do not search for the printer in your smartphone‘s Bluetooth settings.
4.3.2 Installing drivers (Windows/macOS)

1. First, disable the computer‘s anti-virus software.
2. Connect the printer to your computer via the included USB-C cable.
3. Long press the power button to turn the printer on.
4. Download the correct printer driver (model L81) from Luck Jingle’s website: http://www.luckjingle.com/driverDetail?id=5
5. Find the downloaded file and open it.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

4.3.2.1 Additional installation steps macOS

1. Open System Preferences and click on ‘Printers & Scanners’.
2. Click on ‘Add’ (+) to set up the printer.
3. Select ‘YXWL L81 USB’ and click ‘Add’.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

**NOTE** Check regularly for the latest software to keep the printer‘s performance optimal.

Maintenance

5.1 General
– Always unplug and allow to cool before long-term storage.
– If necessary, clean the outside of the product with a slightly damp cloth. Do not let moisture come into contact with any electrical parts. Dry thoroughly with a clean and soft cloth.
– Store it in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
5.2 Cleaning print head
NOTE Always unplug and let cool before maintenance.

1. Turn off the printer fi rst, open the top cover and take out the paper.
2. Dip a cotton pad or cotton bud in some cleansing alcohol.
3. Gently wipe the print head in one direction.
4. After cleaning the print head, do not use the printer immediately. Please wait 1 or 2 minutes until the alcohol has completely evaporated.

5.3 LED indicator status

2. The print head is overheated.
3. Top cover is open.
4. No paper.| 1. When fully charged, the light turns green.
2.  The printer will automatically resume once the print  head has cooled down.
3. Close the top correctly.
4. Insert some paper.
Flashing red| Low battery power.| Charge the printer.
Blue| Bluetooth pairing was successful.
Flashing blue| 1. Pairing in progress.
2. Bluetooth connection failed.| 1. Wait for successful pairing.
2.  Close the app and restart the printer. Wait for the blue light to stop flashing, and then reconnect the printer via the app.

Technical specifications

Removal of rechargeable battery

The rechargeable Li-ion battery inside this device is not removable.

Disposal

Dispose of the article and the packaging materials in accordance with current local regulations.
The crossed out wheelie bin symbol means that this product shall not be disposed of with normal household waste. Electronic and Electrical Equipment not included in the selective sorting process are potentially dangerous for the environment and human health due to the presence of hazardous substances. Please dispose of responsibly at an approved waste or recycling facility.
