WARNING!
Carefully read, understand and follow the instructions provided in this manual, and keep it in a safe place for future reference. If you have any doubt whatsoever regarding the use or care of your helmet, please see your retailer for assistance or advice. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions provided herein can result in the failure of the helmet to protect you in an accident, resulting in a head injury or death.

LEGAL INFORMATION:
this helmet was specifically designed for motorcycle use. It is not to be subjected to any technical modification. In order to offer an adequate level of protection, this helmet has to be properly adjusted and securely fitted. Any helmet which has been subjected to a severe impact must be replaced.
CAUTION!
Do not apply any paint, stickers, petrol or any other solvent to this helmet. Only the visors, which have been approved N° E11 061022 and marketed under SHARK’s reference VZ360 can be used with this helmet. This visor is made of injected polycarbonate. To keep the good optical quality of the visor and the coatings do not use any solvent, petrol, abrasive paste or similar products for cleaning. We advise to use a soft rag with warm water and mild soap. Visors printed “DAYTIME USE ONLY” must not be used at night or in poor visibility conditions.
PRECAUTIONS AND
RECOMMENDATIONS
- Even though our helmet meets global approval standards for helmet production, always ride carefully. A helmet cannot fully protect the user from all possible collisions at high or low speed. All safety equipment has its limits, and a head injury is possible in an accident despite wearing a helmet. However, to protect against fatal accident or permanent impairment due to head injury, the size of the helmet must match the size of your head and the chin strap must be properly tightened and locked as indicated in this manual.
- This helmet is designed to cushion impact by the partial destruction of the shell and/or the internal shock absorber. This damage may not be apparent. Therefore, if the helmet suffers an impact, even simply being dropped to the ground, it must be returned to be checked, replaced or destroyed, even if it does not appear damaged. If there is any doubt, and if you are not sure that this rule applies for the impact in question, contact your supplier before using the helmet again.
- Like any product, a helmet can deteriorate over time depending on the conditions of use. Please check the helmet for signs of deterioration or damage before each use. The size of the helmet should always match the size of your head. If not, then the helmet has expanded, and you need to replace it. Never wear a damaged helmet. Even if the helmet is not damaged or deteriorated, it is recommended to change it five years after purchase.
- Do not make any changes to the helmet. Never pierce or cut any part of the helmet. Any change may damage the helmet, and therefore reduce its effectiveness in protecting you from an impact.
- Handle the helmet with care. Never sit on it or throw it on the ground. Never ride with the helmet hanging on any part of the bike.
- Never use petroleum or petroleum products, chemicals or any other solvent to clean the helmet, shell or visor. Additionally, never expose your helmet to the vapours of these solvents (for example, by leaving it on the fuel cap of your motorcycle). The helmet could be seriously damaged by these chemical agents, without it being apparent, therefore reducing the effectiveness of the helmet in protecting you. Use only mild soap, warm water and a soft cloth to clean and wipe the helmet and visor.
- Never apply paint, stickers or tape to your shell or visor. These could damage your helmet, without it being apparent, and therefore reduce the effectiveness of the helmet in protecting you.
- No customization or modification should alter the quality of the original design or manufacturing. The addition of accessories not approved by the helmet manufacturer (action camera; communication kit, decorative accessories, etc.) may alter the protective performance guaranteed by the helmet manufacturer. Only accessories recommended and evaluated by the manufacturer during the helmet approval procedure can guarantee that the protective performance of the helmet remains compliant with the approval standards. Approved accessories must be installed in accordance with the helmet manufacturer’s instructions in this manual.
- A reduction in hearing, field of vision and head movements will be noted when wearing the helmet. Please adapt your riding accordingly.
- Dry your helmet at room temperature. Never expose it to a temperature above approximately 160°F/70°C, which could, for example, happen if your helmet was left on the passenger seat or in the trunk of a car. Always keep the helmet away from heat sources, such as the exhaust pipe or the bike casing.
- For any comments or questions regarding the helmet, please contact SHARK or your nearest supplier.
WARNING! We do not guarantee the ability of this product to fully protect the user from all possible collisions at high or low speed, or from injuries that could be fatal. The helmet user recognizes and acknowledges that there are risks inherent to riding a motorbike, which are not limited to collisions of any kind, at high or low speed. By purchasing and using this product, the user expressly, voluntarily and consciously assumes and accepts these risks, and releases SHARK from any liability up to the maximum limit admissible by law, for any damage that may result therefrom.

- WARNING! For riding in France, the highway code requires that safety reflectors (provided separately in a pocket) are affixed in accordance with the included plan.
- WARNING! Since the United States has specific regulations, helmets that are only ECE-approved must not be used in these territories without additional DOTFMVSS 218 approval.
- WARNING! No helmet can fully protect the user from all possible collisions at high or low speed. However, for effective protection, the helmet must be the right size and the chin strap must be properly tightened as indicated in the manual. It is dangerous to use a helmet that does not fit properly or to not tighten the chin strap closure system correctly, because the helmet could come off your head in the event of an accident, causing serious or fatal injuries.
CHOOSING YOUR SIZE
Each helmet from XS to XXL is designed for a given head size. To measure your head circumference, use a tape measure by wrapping it horizontally 2.5 cm above your eyebrows. If the measurement is between two sizes, try the smallest helmet first. However, due to the different skull shapes, size references are only to help you select the correct size for your head. For effective protection, it is necessary to ensure that the helmet fits your head well. When you choose a new helmet, ensure that your head is firmly seated in the helmet, with the top of the field of vision positioned above the eyebrows. Also ensure that the chin strap is properly tightened as indicated on the following page.
- Your head must be fully encased by the helmet and your cheeks must provide good support. If this is not the case, the chosen helmet is too big, try so a smaller size. See Figure A.
- With the chin strap properly tightened, make sure the helmet does not move too much from left to right and from top to bottom. You should feel your skin of your head and face pulling when you move the helmet. If this is not the case, the chosen helmet is too big, so try a smaller size. See Figure B.
- With the chin strap tight, grab the back of the helmet by the base and try to remove it from your head in a rotational motion. Then try to remove the helmet by grabbing it by centre of the visor in the closed position. You must do these movements with sufficient force. If the helmet starts to come loose, the chosen helmet is too big, so try a smaller size.
- Lean your head backward as far as possible. The base of the helmet should not touch your back.

Do not have your hair rolled up or bound inside the helmet. Do not put anything in or on your hair inside the helmet. Do not add anything inside the helmet to adjust its position on your head. For any questions regarding the choosing the right helmet size, ask your retailer for advice. Each of these steps must be repeated throughout the life of the helmet, because the foam padding can change over time. If the helmet does not maintain the correct size over its service life it will need to be replaced.
WARNING! Never lend your helmet without ensuring that it fits the borrower by
following the instructions in this manual.
WARNING! If by following these instructions you cannot find a helmet that fits
perfectly, DO NOT USE IT. Choose a different size or model.
MORPHO PAD
Your RS RS-JET Carbon offers a completely new occipital adjustment system, the “Morpho Pad”. This removable and washable strip allows you to better adjust the helmet on your head at the neck according to your head shape. The strip is located at the back of th e liner at the nape of the neck (visual B & C).
REMOVING THE MORPHO PAD
- A – Release the back of the cheek pads.
- B – Release the back of the liner from its housing.
- C – Remove the comfort cushion or place it under the elastics at the back.

CHIN STRAP
Depending on the versions and country, your RS-JET Carbon helmet is equipped with a “Precise Lock” fast closure chin strap with a ratchet or a double ring chinstrap.
PRECISE LOCK
The “Precise Lock” ratchet system provides you with fine and precise
adjustment thanks to the longer length of its toothed part. However, it is
essential, when purchasing, to adjust the length of the chin strap to your
head shape. Adjust the strap length using the adjustment buckle (Fig. A, B, C,
D). Put on your RS-JET Carbon helmet and attach the retention system. When the
“Precise Lock” is set to the middle position, the chin strap must be correctly
tightened under your chin to ensure a firm hold on the helmet, without causing
discomfort or pain.
To lock the chin strap, simply thread the tab into the intended location on
the buckle until the tension is perfect (Fig. E). The tab engages and locks
automatically. To unlock the chin strap, you must lift the lever (Fig. F) and
remove the tab from the buckle. Although the toothed tab allows you to fine
tune the adjustment with each use, it is important to frequently check that
the strap length adjustment is correct.
- WARNING! Never ride with the chin strap not attached or insufficiently tightened, even if the interior covering gives you a feeling of support, the helmet risks coming loose during a fall. Never apply lubricating or acidic products, grease or solvent to the components of the chin strap ring strap.
- WARNING! To ensure sufficient protection, this helmet must fit well and be securely fastened. Any helmet that has been subjected to violent impact must be replaced.
WARNING! Never use the loop as the only closure for the chin strap. In order to be properly tightened, the chin strap must pass through the double-D ring strap according to the instructions. Any improper use of the chin strap can cause your helmet to be expelled in the event of an accident, leaving your head without any protection. Try pulling on the chin strap with your fingers. If the strap becomes loose in any way, you have not closed the chin strap correctly in the double-D ring straps. Then repeat the steps described opposite. Never ride with the chin strap open, incorrectly closed or incorrectly positioned. Even if your cheeks feel like the helmet provides a secure fit, it would be ejected in an accident, leaving the head without any protection. If in doubt about the helmet closing system, do not use the helmet. Ask your retailer for advice.
DOUBLE-D RING STRAP
- Slide the longest part of the chin strap through the two rings, while ensuring that the comfort pad is correctly positioned between the strap and the neck. See Figure A.
- Make a loop with the end of the chin strap around the outer ring and pass it back through the inner ring. See Figure B.
- Pull on the end of the strap until the chin strap is properly tightened. The chin strap should be positioned against the neck, not under the chin. It should be as tight as possible without hurting or hindering breathing. See Figure C.
- Press in the snap on the free end of the strap to prevent the strap from trailing in the air. See Figure D.
INTERIOR CLEANING
The internal textile parts are washable. In order not to damage them it is important to carefully follow the advice below: The cheek pads and liner should be washed by hand in lukewarm, soapy water (approximately 30°C). Do not use aggressive detergent products. Use either a small amount of detergent for delicate textiles or Marseille soap. It is essential to dry the textiles and foams completely before use. They must be dried at room temperature. Never iron the textile components. For leather-look or textile parts attached to safety elements, use a slightly damp sponge or cloth with a little Marseille soap, then rinse with plain water. Avoid using too much water on polystyrene components. It is essential to ensure that all interior parts are perfectly dry before using the helmet.
WARNING! Damaging the interior foams compromises the correct size of your helmet. If it no longer fits your head, the helmet may come off, leaving your head unprotected and causing serious, even fatal injury.
TEXTILES
The comfort textiles and pads of the RS-JET Carbon will allow you to better appreciate the performance of your helmet. The parts in contact with your skin are made of a fabric that ensures comfortable contact, good perspiration absorption and good resistance to aging. The surfaces are treated to limit the risks of mould and bacteria.
- WARNING! although selected for their qualities of strength and durability over time, all parts of the interior covering are subject to normal wear depending on care and maintenance, duration of use as well as the acidity of your sweat. If you notice aging, we advise you to replace your interior fittings in order to maintain a perfectly clean helmet over time and provide you with the necessary comfort. Your retailer will be able to offer you replacement parts, and also optionally offer you cheek pads of different thicknesses and densities in the event that the standard choice does not suit yourface shape.
- WARNING! Every time you put on your helmet, check that it fits your head.
DISASSEMBLY OF THE INTERIOR
We recommend carrying out these operations in Jet configuration:
- Turn your helmet over;
- Separate the two parts of the chin strap;
- Release the rear part of the liner out of its housing (Fig. A);
- Remove the neck guard by grabbing one of its side parts and then the other (Fig. B);
- To finish, unclip the liner support starting from one side (Fig. C) and remove the liner;
- Detach both cheek pads (Fig. D), and slide them along the straps of the chin strap to remove them.
WARNING! Interior positioning is critical for keeping the helmet on your head.
If you are unsure about disassembling or reassembling the interior, do not use
your helmet. Contact your retailer for assistance and advice. Never use a
helmet missing any part making up its interior; it will not protect you in the
event of an accident.
WARNING! The shell and inner liner are made to fit perfectly on your head. In
the event of an accident, a helmet that does not fit you may come off, leaving
your head unprotected and causing serious or even fatal injuries. If you are
not sure that the interior has been reassembled correctly, do not use your
helmet. Contact your retailer for assistance and advice
ASSEMBLY OF THE INTERIOR
- Reposition the cheek pads by passing the chin strap through the slit in the foam (Fig. A) and attach the Velcro (Fig. B).
- Start the operation by threading the plastic part of the front of the liner into its housing (Fig. C), starting with one of the sides.
- Position the textile correctly.
- Reassemble the neck guard using the following method: first insert one of the front ends of the neck guard (use the black attachment pin attached to the shell); continue by inserting the central part of the neck guard and locking it in the shell; finish by inserting the second front end of the neck guard and locking everything in the shell. Check that the liner is in the right direction.
WARNING! Interior positioning is critical for keeping the helmet on your head.
If you are unsure about disassembling or reassembling the interior, do not use
your helmet. Contact your retailer for assistance and advice. Never use a
helmet missing any part making up its interior, it will not protect you in the
event of an accident.

VISOR
HANDLING VISOR REMOVAL
- To open the visor, move it to the left to get it out of the locking pin. Then raise the visor.
- To close, simply fold the visor down all the way. It will lock automatically.
VISOR REMOVAL
- Rotate the locking pin forward. Repeat the operation on the other side.
- Remove the visor by pulling forward.
AUDIBLE MOTION INDICATOR
You can increase the sound level of the notching by tightening or loosening the visor tightness screw.
- WARNING! If you are not sure that the visor has been reassembled correctly, do not use your helmet. While riding, the visor could detach from the helmet suddenly and without warning, causing a loss of control of your motorcycle, resulting in an accident, injury or death. We advise you to contact your retailer for any assistance and advice.
- WARNING! If you are riding at high speed, do not open the visor. It could come loose and leave your eyes and face unprotected. Additionally, your head could be pulled backward or sideways, which could cause you to lose control of the motorcycle, causing an accident, personal injury or death.
- WARNING! Tinted or coloured visors should never be used at night or in poor visibility conditions as they impair your vision. Never ride with a foggy visor.
- WARNING! If your visor does not guarantee excellent visibility after a period of use, it is absolutely necessary to replace it. We advise you to always ride with optimal visibility.
- WARNING! This visor is attached in such a way that it will not be possible to instantly remove it from your field of vision with one hand, in the event of an emergency (glare or fogging).
VISOR ASSEMBLY
- Present the visor slightly inclined in front of its housing. Insert the visor into its housing and push until it clicks. Repeat the operation on the other side. Close the visor To adjust the tightness of the movement of the visor, tighten (Fig. A.) or loosen (Fig. B.) the visor adjustment screws using the wrench provided here. Caution: proceed in stages to maintain equal pressure on both sides.
WARNING! If you are not sure that the visor has been reassembled correctly, do not use your helmet. While riding, the visor could detach from the helmet suddenly and without warning, causing a loss of control of your motorcycle, resulting in an accident, injury or death. We advise you to contact your retailer for any assistance and advice. If you are riding at high speed, do not open the visor. It could come loose and leave your eyes and face unprotected. Additionally, your head could be pulled backward or sideways, which could cause you to lose control of the motorcycle, causing an accident, personal injury or death.
VISOR MAINTENANCE
Clean the visor using only mild liquid soap, warm water and a soft, damp cloth. Allow the visor to dry naturally before reassembling it.
WARNING! Do not use abrasive cleaning products or liquids containing ammonia or alcohol. For your safety, under no circumstances ride with a visor that does not provide you with perfect. If your visor does not guarantee excellent visibility after a period of use, it is absolutely necessary to replace it.
POSITION PINLOCK® FILM
Your RS-JET Carbon is made to receive a PINLOCK®, a flexible plastic film that absorbs moisture. Placed against your visor, it offers very effective anti-fog protection. It prevents the formation of micro droplets which compromise your field of vision.
- Place the visor on a work surface covered with a soft material. Make sure the internal surface of the visor is clean. Use a coin to check whether the external adjustment levers are positioned inwards (“INT” position).
- Place the PINLOCK® film on the visor. The silicone seal of the PINLOCK® film must be in contact with the interior surface of the visor. The PINLOCK® logo should be readable from the outside of the visor.
- Insert one side of the PINLOCK® film into one of the two pins at the ends of the visor and hold it in position.
- Extend and flex the visor and fit the second side of the PINLOCK® film into the second pin. Release the visor so that it returns to its curved shape.
SUN VISOR
- The sun visor is activated by the button integrated into the top of the helmet. When the sun visor is lowered, the button is in the forward position; raised, the button is the rear position.
WARNING! NEVER use the sun visor as the only protection, without the visor. You should always ride with the visor in the down position as described in the previous section.
WARNING! Do not handle the sun visor while riding. You could lose control of the vehicle, causing an accident, injury or death. Even if handling the sun visor feels easy, do not do it while riding Tinted or coloured visors should never be used at night or in poor visibility conditions as they impair your vision. Never ride with a foggy visor.
To ensure protection and improve its service life, the exterior surface of the RSJET Carbon sun visor has an anti-scratch treatment. For maintenance and cleaning, please follow the same advice recommended for the exterior visor. In addition, the sun visor has received an anti-fog surface treatment guaranteeing an optimal level of comfort and safety.
WARNING! If your visor and/or sun visor do not guarantee excellent visibility after a period of use, it is absolutely necessary to replace it/them. We advise you to always ride with optimal visibility. Never use the sun visor as the only protection, without the visor. You should always ride with the visor in the down position as described in the previous section.
DISASSEMBLY
- Move the sun visor into the bottom position;
- Slide the central fastening stud using a screwdriver or anything pointed (Fig. A);
- Pull the sun visor gently downwards (Fig. B);
- Unclip the sun visor laterally (Fig. C).
POSITIONING
Perform the same operations in reverse:
- Put the sun visor handling button in the down position;
- Clip the sun visor laterally on one side then the other (Fig. D);
- Using a screwdriver or anything pointed, press on the central fastening stud then reclip the sun visor while raising it slightly (Fig. E).
- WARNING! If you are not sure that the visor has been reassembled correctly, do not use your helmet. While riding, the sun visor could detach from the helmet suddenly and without warning, causing a loss of control of your motorcycle, resulting in an accident, injury or death. We advise you to contact your retailer for any assistance and advice.
- WARNING! Never use the sun visor as the only protection, without the visor. You should always ride with the visor in the down position as describedin the previous section.
UPPER VENT
1 – To use the upper vent, move the button forward (closed) or back (open).
WARNING! Do not manipulate the vents while riding. You could lose control of your motorbike, causing an accident, injuryor death.
EASY FIT
Your SHARK RS-JET Carbon has been designed to provide additional comfort to eyeglass wearers with the SHARK EASY FIT. The two cheeks are made with a comfort foam pad to allow easy passage for the eyeglass arms.
SHARKTOOTH® PRIME
Your RS-JET Carbon helmet is SHARKTOOTH® PRIME READY, that is to say, pre-
equipped to receive SHARKTOOTH® PRIME. You will find a specially designed
housing for the battery at the back of the helmet, under the neck guard, as
well as a space for the microphone in front of the helmet. For the headphones,
a cavity is provided in the inner cheeks. The battery is easily rechargeable
because it is accessible from the outside, without removing the neck guard.
The SHARKTOOTH® PRIME system allows you to communicate easily via Bluetooth.
For city, road or touring riders who wish to communicate while riding, the
SHARKTOOTH® PRIME Bluetooth hands-free kit for smartphones is a must-have
accessory. It offers a bike-to-bike communication system with another
SHARKTOOTH® PRIME. It connects quickly with the majority of smartphones. It is
voice activated It is water resistant. Bluetooth audio connection to GPS.
Music via A2DP stereo Bluetooth.
Background ambient noise reduction, automatic volume control. To access these
features, you must connect your SHARKTOOTH Prime to an appropriate Bluetooth
device.
WARNING! The RS-JET Carbon is only UNECE 22.06 certified with the SHARKTOOTH®
PRIME audio system. Only the accessories recommended and evaluated by the
manufacturer during the helmet approval procedure can guarantee that the
protective performance of the helmet remains compliant with the approval
standards. Approved accessories must be installed in accordance with the
instructions provided in the SHARKTOOTH® PRIME manual.
