ATTENTION :

Read this booklet carefully as it contains important instructions for a safe installation, use and maintenance.
Important instructions to be kept for future reference.
The following basic precautions should always be followed when using electrical appliances:

The Appliance

This appliance must be used only for the purpose it was expressly designed; any use NOT complying with the instructions contained in the manual is considered inappropriate and dangerous. The manufacturer is NOT responsible for possible damages caused by the inappropriate and/or unreasonable use.
The installation/assembly of the appliance will be made in accordance with the indications of the manufacturer. A wrong procedure may cause damages to persons, animals or objects, for which the manufacturer cannot be considered
Before use, check the integrity of the appliance and power cable. DO NOT operate the appliance when its housing is damaged. In case you are not sure, contact a qualified person. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer / service agent or a qualified technician in order to avoid a shock hazard.
Before powering the appliance make sure the rating (voltage and frequency) corresponding to the grid and the socket is suitable for the plug of the appliance, and that the wall socket is properly grounded. This appliance is fitted with an earth wire for extra safety.
Avoid the use of adapters and/or extension cables; if their use is absolutely necessary, use only materials in compliance with the current safety regulations and whose marked electrical rating should be at least as high as the electrical rating of the appliance. To prevent overloading and blown fuses, ensure that no other high powered appliance is plugged into the same socket.
The appliance must NOT be switched on using external timers and/or other remote control appliances which are not specified in this manual.
Only use original components & accessories provided by the manufacturer. Any non-original component or accessory NOT recommended by the manufacturer (including those made by other manufacturers or by the same manufacturer but for other models) may cause injuries to persons or damage to the appliance.
The packing materials (plastic bags, expanded polystyrene, etc.) must be kept out of the reach of children or disabled persons since they represent potential sources of danger.

Location

During transportation of this appliance, it should NOT be subjected to an inclination of greater than 45° to the horizontal, so as to prevent damage to the compressor and refrigeration system of the appliance.
This appliance is NOT suitable to be used or stored near heat sources (open flame, ovens, heaters, stoves, etc.) and/or in an explosive environment (in the presence of flammable substances such as gas, vapour, mist or dust, in atmospheric conditions when, after ignition, the combustion is spread in the air). Items containing these substances should never be placed in the appliance, and never be used to clean the appliance in order to avert the risk of fire or
The appliance should NOT be placed on a surface, or in the vicinity of objects, which can be damaged by heat, such as carpets, curtains, textiles or plastics. DO NOT pull or carry the appliance by the cable.
DO NOT use or store the appliance outdoors. Store and use the appliance only indoors, or in any case, protected from weathering such as rain, direct radiation of the sun and dust.

Operation

If you are using the appliance for the first time, you should:
Clean the inside of the appliance with water & detergent with a non-abrasive sponge. Ensure that the appliance is completely dry before DO NOT use metal scouring pads.
Place the appliance upright on a horizontal, stable, dry and heat-resistant surface for at least 2 hours before switching on the appliance. Damage to the appliance may occur if it is placed on an incline or decline.
(First use)
- Switch the appliance ON

Turn the Temperature Control Rotary Knob to ‘MAX’ for Fast Freezing.

Insert the plug of the power cable into the wall socket and switch ON. Check that the Indicator Light, Compressor and Ventilation Fan are all working smoothly.

(henceforth “switching the appliance on” is intended to include the steps above)

After half an hour, the temperature inside the appliance should already be cool, and gradually getting colder. Let the Compressor operate for a period of at least 2 – 3 hours before placing food & drinks into the

turn the Temperature Control Rotary Knob too forcefully so as to avoid any damage;
put oversized foods or large amounts of food into the appliance at the same time;
store containers made of glass or canned items in the appliance as they may break or explode upon freezing;
store medicine or medical products in the appliance when the appliance is used as a Freezer;
place or use any electrical appliances inside the appliance unless recommended by the manufacturer;
use electrical devices (e.g. hairdryers, heaters, radiators, fans, etc. to melt ice), mechanical devices (sharp knives, ice-picks, etc. to scrape ice), a direct flame or by any other means to remove ice from the interior surfaces) when defrosting;
tamper with the refrigerant circuit in any way as this could damage the appliance or release the refrigerant gas into the immediate surroundings. This refrigerant gas (R600a – chemical name: isobutane) is currently the refrigerant gas of choice in domestic and small commercial refrigerators due to its low environmental impact and excellent thermodynamic performance. However, it is a hydrocarbon and is flammable;

During operation, DO NOT touch the appliance with wet body parts, and it is recommended to have between you and the standing surface, an isolating element (for example, wearing shoes with rubber soles).

Plug and unplug the power cable firmly holding it with dry hands. Make sure at least 5 minutes have elapsed before switching the appliance back on in order to protect the compressor and the refrigeration system. However, DO NOT switch the appliance on and off unnecessarily or frequently.

This appliance is NOT intended for commercial use but to be used in households and similar applications, such as:

Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
By clients in dormitories hotels, motels and other residential environments;
Bed and breakfast type

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall NOT play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall NOT be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cable out of reach of children less than 8 years old.

How to Install

Before and during installation, DO NOT subject this appliance to an inclination of greater than 45° to the horizontal, so as to prevent damage to the compressor and refrigeration system of the appliance.
Clean the inside of the appliance with water & detergent with a non-abrasive sponge. Place the appliance at a proper distance from objects or surrounding walls making sure that its functioning will not cause accidental damages. There should be at least 10 cm of free space from the back, left & right sides and at least 30 cm from the top of the doors to allow adequate air circulation to cool the compressor. Never put things on top of the appliance.
Before powering the appliance make sure the rating (voltage and frequency) corresponding to the grid and the socket is suitable for the plug of the appliance, the wall socket is properly grounded and the power cable is undamaged. How to Use

The appliance can be used as both a chiller and a freezer, but not simultaneously. As the temperature of the interior of the appliance can be adjusted from a high of +10°C to a low of –18°C, setting the temperature above 0°C converts the appliance into a Chiller where foods & beverages will not freeze, while setting the temperature below 0°C converts the appliance into a Freezer, where foods & beverages will. ‘MAX’ corresponds to a lower temperature (colder) and ‘MIN’ corresponds to a higher temperature (hotter). The normal operating default setting (‘NORMAL’) should be somewhere approximately halfway in between ‘MIN’ and ‘MAX’.
When food needs to be quickly frozen, turn the Temperature Control Rotary Knob from ‘NORMAL’ to ‘MAX’. When the food has frozen, turn the Temperature Control Rotary Knob from ‘MAX’ to the default setting of ‘NORMAL’. Increasing the temperature from ‘MAX’ (colder) to ‘NORMAL’ (hotter) should always be done in increments over several hours. DO NOT turn the Temperature Control Rotary Knob too forcefully so as to avoid any damage.
DO NOT leave the door of the appliance open for long periods of time or open the door repeatedly within short periods of time to avoid significant increases in temperature leading to the spoilage of food. This action, if repeated often, can damage the appliance and lead to the shortening of the life of the appliance.
DO NOT put oversized foods or large amounts of food into the appliance at the same time. Make sure that there is ample space around each package of food item in order to ensure adequate circulation of cold air. Warm food should be allowed to cool down to room temperature before placing them into the

How to Clean and Defrost

Switch the appliance off and detach the plug from the wall socket before cleaning or conducting maintenance. Open the Freezer Door.
Wait until the interior of the appliance has completely warmed up, and the compressor cooled down, before cleaning or performing any maintenance
If the interior of the appliance is covered with a layer of frost, defrosting needs to be carried out. Not performing this action may lead to an increase in electricity consumption and a lessening of the effects of refrigeration.
You can also use a hose to wash the interior compartment (but NOT the interior casing) of the appliance.
DO NOT use electrical devices (e.g. hairdryers, heaters, radiators, fans, etc. to melt ice), mechanical devices (sharp knives, ice-picks, etc. to scrape ice), a direct flame or by any other means to remove ice from the interior surfaces) when defrosting.
After defrosting, clean the interior of the appliance with a soft, damp cloth. If necessary, you can use a cloth moistened with mild liquid detergent. DO NOT use abrasive scouring pads or powders.
Wipe the exterior of the appliance using a soft, damp cloth or sponge. Remove stubborn spots with a cloth moistened with mild liquid detergent. DO NOT use abrasive scouring pads or powders.
DO NOT soak the appliance in water or other liquids, wash it under the tap, or let any liquid flow into the internal casing of the appliance to prevent electric shock.
After cleaning, dry every surface using a soft cloth before restarting the

Problem Solving

The appliance does not work.

DISPOSAL: Do not dispose this appliance as unsorted municipal waste. Collection of such waste separately for special treatment is necessary.

This warranty provides against defective materials and manufacturing faults throughout for two years from the date of purchase of the appliance covering the Motor only, subject to correct usage of the appliance. The original purchaser of the appliance must furnish proof of purchase to our Service Centre with the email or number as registered during submission of warranty when this appliance is sent for repair/service. Failure to do so may delay the receipt of said repair/service by the customer.
Under no circumstances whatsoever shall the serial number be erased, defaced or altered by the customer and/or his representatives, or the dealer and/or his agents. Failure to ensure this shall invalidate the warranty.
This warranty is deemed to be void if the defect is cause by the attack of household pests, fire, lightning, natural disasters, pollution, abnormal voltage or the usage of generators.
This warranty is valid in Singapore
This warranty will be honoured subject to the customer’s registration of the warranty inclusive of original invoice or valid purchase receipt. Failure to present these documents will result in denial of service. However, if the customer still requests that the defective appliance be repaired, PowerPac Electrical Pte Ltd may, at its discretion, repair the appliance but impose a labour charge, as well as the costs of the replacement parts, to be borne solely by the customer.
