STEP-BY-STEP INSTALLATION
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
WARNING
IMPORTANT
The installer and/or user must read, understand and follow these instructions
before installing the product. This product must be properly installed before
it is used. If instructions are not followed, the manufacturer will not be
held responsible for any problems or product malfunctions. Failure to follow
installation and/or operating instructions will void the warranty.
We recommend that this product be installed by a certified electrician. In
some states or provinces, it is legally required that for this type of product
be installed by a
certified electrician, according to the electrical and building codes in
effect in the region where the unit is being used.
WARNING: Risk of electrical shock. Turn off power at the breaker panel.
Switch off the main electrical supply from the fuse box/circuit breaker before
installing the unit or doing any maintenance. Do not use outdoors.
CAUTION
IMPORTANT
Caution, mount with the lowest parts at least 2.1 m / 82.6 in above the floor
or ground level. The retaining screws must be securely tightened before
operating the fan.
WARNING :
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or personal injury, mount the fan
only to anoutlet box marked “acceptable for fan support” and use the mounting
screws provided with the outlet box. Most outlet boxes commonly used for
hanging light fixtures are not rated for fan support and may need to be
replaced. If in doubt, contact a qualified electrician.
DO NOT USE THIS FAN WITH ANY SOLID-STATE SPEED CONTROL DEVICE
WARNING: The mounting bracket is not designed to exceed 15.9 kg / 35 lb of total weight.
All wiring in accordance with the national Electric Code ANSI/NFPA 70 and local codes. To reduce the risk of personal injury, do not bend the blade brackets when installing the brackets, balancing the blades, or cleaning the fan. Do not insert foreign objects between rotating fan blades.

BATTERY WARNING
- INGESTION HAZARD: This product contains a button cell or coin battery.
- DEATH or serious injury can occur if ingested. A swallowed button cell or coin battery can cause Internal Chemical Burns in as little as 2 hours.
- KEEP new amd used batteries OUT OF REACH of CHILDREN Seek immadiate medical attention if a battery is suspected to be swallowed or inserted inside any part of the body.
- WARNING – KEEP BATTERIES OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN
- Swallowing may lead to serious injury in as little as 2 hours or death, due to chemical burns and potential perforation of the esophagus.
- If you suspect your child has swallowed or inserted a button battery, immediately seek urgent medical assistance.
- Examine devices and make sure the battery compartment is correctly secured, e.g. that the screw or other mechanical fastener is tightened. Do not use if compartment is not secure.
- Dispose of used button batteries immediately and safely. Used batteries can still be dangerous.
- Tell others about the risk associated with button batteries and how to keep their children safe.
REMOTE CONTROL
NOTE – READ AND KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS
- This product contains a lithium button/coin cell battery. If a new or used lithium button/coin cell battery is swallowed or enters the body, it can cause severe internal burns and can lead to death in as little as 2 hours. Always completely secure the battery compartment. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product, remove the battery, and keep it away from children. If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.
- All batteries must be properly disposed of and kept out of reach of children.
- Even used batteries may cause injury.
REPLACING THE REMOTE CONTROL BATTERIES
- Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery that is suitable for the intended use.
- Replace all batteries within a set at the same time. Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (ni-cad, ni-mh, etc.) batteries.
- Clean the battery contacts and the contacts on the device.
- Ensure the batteries are installed correctly with regard to polarity (+ and -).
- Remove batteries from any equipment that will not be used for a long time.
- Remove used batteries promptly.
- Batteries must be installed, removed and replaced by an adult or under adult supervision.
- Dispose of batteries in accordance with local regulations.
- Do not attempt to burn batteries or place them near a heat source.
REMOTE CONTROL FUNCTIONS
REMOTE CONTROL PAIRING INSTRUCTIONS
- Turn the fixture power off for at least 15 seconds.
- Turn the fan on. Press the FAN ON/OFF button (no. 4) and the WARM button (no. 6) simultaneously within 10 seconds of turning on the fan. You will hear 2 ‘’beep’’ sounds when the pairing is complete.
- If pairing is not successful, repeat the steps above.
NOTE – READ AND KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
- All wiring must be in accordance with the National Electrical Code “ANSI/ NFPA 70-1999” and local electrical codes.
- To reduce the risk of electric shock, ensure electricity has been turned off at the circuit breaker or fuse box before beginning.
- After making electrical connections, spliced conductors should be turned upward and pushed carefully up into the outlet box. The wires should be separated with the grounded conductor and the equipment grounding conductor on one side of the outlet box and ungrounded conductor on the other side of the outlet box.
- Check that the outlet box is securely installed such that it is able to support at least the fan weight (total weight of fan approximately 3.0 kg / 6.6 lb).

- Increase the distance between the equipment and the receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
WARRANTY
Artika For Living Inc. is proud to offer you a three-year (3) limited warranty on manufacturing defects from the date of purchase for residential use only. Thewarranty is extended to the original owner in the US, Canada, Mexico, the UK, Iceland, France and Spain and is non-transferable. It does not apply to retailers, commercial applications or establishments. The original sales receipt is required for all warranty claims. The remedy under this limited warranty shall be product or part replacement at Artika’s discretion as provided herein and may not exceed the original purchase price. This warranty is valid only on products installed in accordance with the building code and laws in effect in the region where the unit is being used, as well as in accordance with the provided instruction manual. It does not cover products installed incorrectly or subjected to abnormal use. You may be required to return product(s) or component part(s) for inspection and verification.
Normal wear and tear, misuse, negligence, vandalism, improper maintenance (surface damage due to chemical interaction or cleaning agents including, but not limited to, scouring pads, use of cleaners containing abrasives, alcohol or other organic solvents), improper handling, accident, abuse, fire, flood, theft, acts of God, neglect, or alteration of the product will not be covered under this limited warranty. It excludes any accessories that accompany the product including, but not limited to bulbs or batteries. The warranty does not cover handling, labour, transportation, or any other cost associated with the installation or replacement of the product. This limited warranty is valid in the country of purchase and for products sold by Artika authorized retailers only.
